After seeing Lin Ruoxue, the young shepherd abandoned his cows and sheep and excitedly ran towards Su Chen and her!

An elderly man, his face etched deeply by the years, instantly burst into a blossod smile.

After a while, Su Chen and Lin Ruoxue followed the old man and the boy towards one of the felt tents.
It was now evening, and with winter drawing near, it had almost grown dark; the inside of the felt tent was even darker.
Once they entered the tent, the old man hastily said:
"Don't stand in the dark; let light the lamp."
The old man then struck a match and lit an oil lamp, bringing so light into the tent.
With the dim light, Lin Ruoxue saw another old lady lying on the bed; it seed she was already asleep.
"Uncle, has Grandma Gu's leg not gotten any better?" Lin Ruoxue asked.
The old man shook his head, then laughed:
"But after taking the dicine you brought last ti, it doesn't hurt anymore. We really have to thank you, Ms. Lin! She suffered much less because of you!"
"Grandpa, Ms. Lin, and this uncle, let's eat."
At that ti, the young Tai Wei ca in with a few cakes.
"Let's not talk about that for now, Miss Lin, and Mr. Su, you must be starving, hurry up and eat so cakes."
The elderly man motioned for the two to sit down at a small, low round table:
"We don't have much, please don't mind."
"Uncle, what are you talking about? I love eating the cakes from here."
Lin Ruoxue said with a smile.
"Yeah, Uncle, this is really nice."
Su Chen could tell that these cakes were the best food this family could offer, and they probably couldn't bear to eat them themselves usually.
But Su Chen didn't make a pretentious refusal, because that would make the old man feel even worse.
"Little guy, co and have so too."
Su Chen waved to the young boy who was busy on the side.
"You don't have to worry about him; he will eat later by himself."
The old man said sowhat awkwardly. There were only a few cakes in the house for the guests, and if they ate too, what would the guests have?
He himself had sat down only out of a need to accompany them, but he was eating slowly and chewing carefully. He planned to share his cake with his grandson and his wife after the guests had left.
"Why make such a fuss."
Su Chen stood up, pulled the youngster over, and handed him a cake:
"You're growing, eat a bit more."
Clutching the cake, the boy couldn't help but glance at his grandfather, a longing look flickering in his eyes.
"If Mr. Su tells you to eat, then eat," said the old man with a sigh.
Only after hearing his grandfather's words did the boy slowly tear off a small piece of the cake and stuff it into his mouth.
"Uncle, when we're done eating, I'll take a look at Grandma Gu. Maybe she can be cured."
While eating his cake, Su Chen said.

Su Chen couldn't help but smile bitterly; Lin Ruoxue was exaggerating so much to make the old man believe that even he found it a bit cheesy!
"Well then, I'll trouble you in a bit."
The truth was, the old man remained skeptical. His wife's leg ailnt had seen many people, could it really be cured?

The boy didn't harbor the sa doubts as the old man; hearing that Su Chen might cure his grandmother, he looked at him filled with hope.
Su Chen ate only one cake and then claid he was full, and Lin Ruoxue ate just half, claiming she was on a diet.
"All right, I'll go take a look at Grandma now," Su Chen said as he stood up.
The old man imdiately led him to the bedside and gently woke his wife.
Seeing a strange young man standing in front of her bed, the old lady couldn't help but show a puzzled expression.
"Wife, this is Mr. Su, Miss Lin's husband. He ca with Miss Lin this ti," the old man said with a smile, explaining.
"Miss Lin is here? Where is she?"
As soon as the old lady heard that Miss Lin had co, she struggled to sit up...
