The small restaurant wasn't very crowded, so it wasn't too busy, and it didn't take long for their dishes to be served.
"Ruoxue, have a taste, the food here is still pretty good, I've been here once before."
Su Chen called out with a smile.
Lin Ruoxue nodded and began to taste the food in small bites.
"Why are you looking at like that?"

"Where to? What for?"
Upon hearing Su Chen's words, Lin Ruoxue beca even more curious and hurriedly asked, and it seed he was seldom this serious.
"I'll take you to et my parents and grandfather!"
Su Chen said softly.
When Lin Ruoxue heard this, she was initially stunned, then imdiately beca flustered.
Su Chen's parents? Weren't they her own in-laws?
Lin Ruoxue had absolutely no ntal preparation for this. Despite being married for so long, Su Chen had never ntioned his family before.
In the beginning of their marriage, when their relationship had been cold to the point of freezing, she naturally did not inquire about such matters.
Lately, their relationship had gradually ward up, but approximately half a year had already passed since their wedding, and with all the work she had at the company every day, she hadn't rembered to think about this issue.

Su Chen asked, seeing Lin Ruoxue's panicked expression.
"Husband, can we do it so other ti?"

"It was never ant to be these next few days anyway, anyti in the next two or three weeks is fine,"
Su Chen replied with a smile.

"The most important thing is that I like you!"
Laughing lightly, Su Chen replied. Hearing this, a blush of red imdiately spread across Lin Ruoxue's beautifully ashad cheeks, making her irresistibly charming!
"Alright, stop thinking too much, just find so ti in the near future."
Su Chen said casually.
"Okay, where does your family live? I need to plan ahead and book the tickets."
Lin Ruoxue thought for a mont; an ugly wife must eventually et her in-laws, so she nodded in agreent.
"No need, they are in Yandu."
Su Chen said while taking a bite of the dish.
"They are in Yandu?!"
Upon hearing that Su Chen's family was in Yandu, Lin Ruoxue's beautiful eyes widened in surprise:
"You're from Yandu?"
She knew so little about Su Chen and had no idea where he was from. Naturally, she was incredibly surprised by his statent.
"Not exactly, just born here," Su Chen replied indifferently, seeming quite casual, but Lin Ruoxue could see a hint of sorrow in his eyes.
"Then what do they like? Tell , so I can prepare so gifts."
Lin Ruoxue had never t soone else's parents before and was still very unaccustod, so she referred to Su Chen's parents simply as 'they.'
She thought that she definitely needed to buy so gifts they would like for her first visit.
"No need for that, all you have to do is prepare a black outfit, and then we can buy so flowers when the ti cos," Su Chen said nonchalantly.
"Why?"
Lin Ruoxue was taken aback by Su Chen's words. She could understand buying flowers, but wearing a black dress puzzled her.
Especially since she was akin to a bride eting her in-laws for the first ti, how could she wear black? Wouldn't that be extrely inauspicious?
"They have both passed away."
Su Chen stated flatly.
"Passed away?"
As the words fell, Lin Ruoxue was stunned, unsure of what to say.
"I'm sorry!"
After a mont, Lin Ruoxue said, full of apologies.
"It doesn't matter, it's been nearly twenty years, it's all in the past."
Su Chen said with a slight smile.
Hearing this, a surge of emotions welled up inside Lin Ruoxue!
Twenty years? Didn't that an he had been without his relatives since he was five or six years old?
Lin Ruoxue couldn't help but look up at Su Chen. Although his face carried a faint smile, behind it, she thought she could see concealed loneliness and desolation, along with so helplessness.
For so reason, Lin Ruoxue felt a twinge of pain in her heart.
Suddenly, she stretched out a delicate hand and gently caressed his face, her eyes full of tenderness.
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
Su Chen smiled faintly, took Lin Ruoxue's hand down, and then held it in his own.
"Mhm."
A radiant smile blood on Lin Ruoxue's gorgeous face, and then she said seriously:
"If that's the case, then we must choose a good day, we can't take this lightly!"
"Okay, I'll listen to you," Su Chen replied with a light chuckle.
"Now, let's hurry up and eat, or the dishes will get cold."
"Hmm, darling, the food at this restaurant really is delicious."
