Su Chen was taken aback when he heard what Xia Qiuru said; he had not expected that she would suggest he accompany her back ho for the New Year.
"If you find it troubleso, just pretend I never ntioned it."
Seeing that Su Chen didn't respond right away, Xia Qiuru quickly added:
"I know it might be a bit much to ask, sorry."
"It's okay, I've been missing your parents too. I'll accompany you back for a day or two. I think I can still squeeze out so ti then."
Su Chen said with a casual smile on his face.
Actually, Xia Qiuru's request was quite problematic for him, after all, going ho with another woman during the New Year was indeed a bit over the line for a married man.
If any other woman had made such a request, he would have flatly refused. If Lin Ruoxue found out, it would be no laughing matter.

Then she glanced at Xia Qiuru's office, and her expression cooled.
Is this guy ssing around with other won again because I told him not to mingle with those won from the PR departnt?
After leaving, Su Chen imdiately returned to his own office, completely unaware that Lin Ruoxue had seen right through his facade just from his offhand remark.
It just goes to show that sotis being too smart for one's own good isn't always a blessing!
Just then, his phone suddenly rang. Taking it out, he saw a number that hadn't been in contact for so days.
"Ye i, the great beauty, what made you think to call ? Are you missing ?"
Su Chen answered the phone, his tone flirtatious.
Among the beauties he knew, apart from those with whom he had confird relationships, he was probably only this casual with Ye i.
After all, she had been in the underworld and wouldn't care about the finer points like most won would.
"Yeah, do you miss ?"

"Didn't you say you'd accompany on a trip abroad when you had the ti? I'm leaving tomorrow. Are you available?"
Ye i's sowhat hopeful voice ca through the phone.
Upon hearing this, Su Chen fell silent for a mont, as he had so plans in Yandu coming up.
These plans were related to his investigation of the truth behind past events and his quest for revenge, so he had to stay.
"Ye i, I'm sorry, but I..."
Su Chen said apologetically. After all, Ye i had discussed the overseas trip with him a while back, and he had almost agreed to it, so he felt a bit embarrassed to go back on his word now.
