In the Judgnt Departnt, everyone is assigned separate tasks, especially top-secret missions. This is common among most organizations, including the Nether Temple.
So, it was entirely normal for Qi ng to be unaware of the situations Su Chen described, particularly regarding the Gene Modifiers.
"Is everything you said true?"
Qi ng couldn't help but look at Su Chen and ask, still a bit incredulous.
"It's up to you to believe it or not."
Su Chen did not guarantee that he wasn't lying or anything else.
Hearing this, Qi ng's face fell. She knew Su Chen had no reason to deceive her, and for so reason, she believed him.
"My mind is a ss right now. Give a few days to think it through, and I'll get back to you."
Qi ng said with a pained expression.
"Okay."
Su Chen nodded and said:
"Are you planning to return to Qing Tower now?"
"If not there, where else can I go?"
Qi ng said weakly.
"The people from the Judgnt Departnt might co looking for you at any ti. I think it's better if you find another place."
Su Chen said with so concern.
"They shouldn't. They're still waiting for to steal the Cultivation Technique from you."
Qi ng shook her head.
"Alright, just be careful."
Su Chen thought about it and agreed, then said:
"Just in case, set my number as a speed dial. If anything unexpected happens, you can tell imdiately."
"Got it."
Qi ng said and then turned to leave.
"By the way, Aunt Sun is in Room 804, Yuquan Apartnts."
As she walked out the door, Qi ng's voice suddenly ca from behind.
Hearing this, a relieved smile appeared on Su Chen's face. He knew Qi ng hadn't killed Aunt Sun. Otherwise, he would have doubted his own judgnt.
If that were the case, even if they cooperated to take down the Judgnt Departnt, he would have been more cautious.
After Qi ng left, Su Chen drove to Yuquan Apartnts, which wasn't too far away.
As for the door lock, it was nothing to him; he twisted it lightly and it broke completely.
Inside, Aunt Sun, who was bound hand and foot, held her breath as she heard the door open. She still had no idea what had happened.
She had just gotten off the train and suddenly fainted for so unknown reason. When she woke up, she was tied up in this place, not knowing where she was as night fell.
"Snap!"
The light turned on, and Aunt Sun looked up, stunned.
"Son-in-law?!"
Aunt Sun babbled in surprise:
"Why are you here?"
"Aunt Sun, I'm sorry for scaring you."
Su Chen smiled slightly and untied her ropes.
"Son-in-law, what exactly happened?"
Seeing Su Chen, Aunt Sun finally relaxed.
"It's quite obvious, Aunt Sun, you were kidnapped."
Su Chen joked with a mischievous smile.
"Kidnapped?"
Hearing this, Aunt Sun beca even more puzzled:
"Why kidnap ? I have no money!"
"Who knows? Maybe they mistook you for a wealthy woman!"
"Are they crazy? Do I look like a rich woman? Are they blind?"
Now that she was safe, Aunt Sun began to feel indignant. After all, who wouldn't have so emotions after such an event?
"Exactly, they must be lunatics!"
Su Chen echoed her with a laugh.
If Qi ng knew he was saying this, she might spit out a mouthful of blood!
"By the way, son-in-law, how did you know I was here?"
On the way back, Aunt Sun asked curiously.
"I have a sixth sense!"
Su Chen joked:
"Actually, the person who kidnapped you was planning to disguise as you to steal a treasure from our house!"
"Steal sothing from us? Did they get it?"
Hearing this, Aunt Sun was startled. Although she hadn't ford a family bond with Su Chen and Lin Ruoxue yet, she felt much more affection for them than for other employers!
"Of course not. They were caught by just as they were about to make a move. How else would I have discovered you were here?"
Su Chen said with a smile.
"Oh, thank goodness!"
Aunt Sun patted her chest with relief.
"By the way, Aunt Sun, don't tell Ruoxue about this. She doesn't know the person from yesterday wasn't you."
Su Chen instructed Aunt Sun:
"I don't want her to worry too much!"
"Got it."
Aunt Sun replied, then asked:
"That person disguised so well that even the young lady didn't recognize them?"
"Yes, it was almost indistinguishable!"
"It's really hard to guard against thieves these days!"
Aunt Sun sighed.
In no ti, they arrived ho. Once inside, Su Chen told Aunt Sun to rest and that she didn't need to get up early to make breakfast.
After all, she had just had a long train ride and then such an incident; she was undoubtedly exhausted and needed a good rest.
Su Chen then went upstairs to rest. Lin Ruoxue was still asleep, unaware that Su Chen had been gone.
As soon as Su Chen got into bed, her slender arm ca over, and her leg draped across his...
.....
anwhile, in a mysterious place in this world, there was a building resembling a temple.
In one of the halls of this building, a man in a black robe knelt on one knee.
"Have you figured out who destroyed the Skull Society?"
A sinister voice ca from above, where a man in an extravagant red robe sat!
On his robe was a flower embroidered with gold thread, but the type of flower was unknown.
"I'm sorry, Right Priest, the place was burned to ashes. We couldn't find any useful clues!"
The black-robed man kneeling on the ground said, trembling.
"No clues is the biggest clue!"
The red-robed man's eyes glead:
"This is the Nether Temple's handiwork!"
"Right Priest, should we order to destroy it?"
The black-robed man glanced up at the red-robed man and asked.
"Not for now. The Nether Temple is still sowhat useful."
The red-robed man shook his head:
"Alright, you may leave."
"Yes!"
The black-robed man imdiately retreated.
As he left, a figure suddenly appeared behind the red-robed man.
"Tell Joseph he must obtain that Cultivation Technique within half a month. Once he gets it, kill the Nether King and Qi ng imdiately!"
The red-robed man said coldly...
