"I didn't expect you, a spoiled brat, to have such a good business acun!"
Su Chen joked.
Of course he knew Yunlong rely appeared cynical and reckless, like a wastrel, but he was actually a rare talent!
"Of course."
Yunlong handed Su Chen a cigarette, then lit one for himself and said:
"Once my large resort is built, it will expedite the governnt's extension into this area to so extent."
"And, brother, have you noticed? This suburb is the main passage from Yandu to Jinn, which will attract people from Yandu here."
Yunlong spoke rather confidently.
"Alright, let's stop chatting and go visit the construction site."
Su Chen took a drag on his cigarette, not particularly interested in business.
"Alright, big brother, I'll first show you the corpse of the gatekeeper."
Yunlong said as he walked ahead.
"The corpse is still here? His family hasn't claid it?"
Su Chen asked strangely, but it was better this way; he could check what happened.
"What family?! The old man had no children, no relatives at all."
Yunlong replied,
"The police ca by, the forensic doctor determined it was a heart attack, judged no foul play, and they left."
Su Chen did not respond and continued walking inside.
The remaining three inside knew Yunlong, the boss, was coming, so they had been waiting for a while.
After all, quite a few materials had already been delivered; one gatekeeper wasn't enough.
If there really were thieves coming to steal, a single old man wouldn't be much use!
"Boss, you're here to see old Li, right?"
One person flattered,
"Boss, you're really kind, still coming to see him despite your busy schedule."
"Sure, where's the room? Lead there."
Yunlong said casually.
"Alright, boss, follow ."
They quickly led Yunlong and Su Chen to a simple house; all the houses on the construction site were temporary, so they couldn't be very good.
Inside, on a bed lay a quiet old man in his sixties.
Su Chen ignored the others and carefully examined the corpse.
"Sir, no need to inspect; the police have already confird it was a heart attack!"
the sa person who spoke earlier couldn't help but say, seeing Su Chen looking over the corpse.
Su Chen didn't respond, instead pulling out a slightly longer Silver Needle and inserting it into the heart area of the old man.
"Who do you think you are? Better than the police?"
Another person sneered, though he didn't dare say much since the young man ca with the boss.
"Alright, you all can leave, no need to stay here for now."
Yunlong waved his hand, and the few people had to leave.
"Brother, what's the verdict? Was it a heart attack?"
After they left, Yunlong quickly asked.
"Yes and no."
Su Chen put away the Silver Needle and said.
"What do you an?"
Yunlong was confused.
"He did die from a heart attack, but what triggered it was an agent; he was injected with it and then had the attack."
"Murder?!"
Yunlong exclaid.
"Yes, it's murder!"
Su Chen nodded,
"And the thod used is high-level; even an autopsy might not reveal it."
His face grew serious as he spoke; soone who could orchestrate such a clever plan must not be ordinary!
"Since he had no relatives, let's ensure he gets a proper burial."
Su Chen urged.
"Don't worry, brother, I'd do it even if you didn't say so."
"Alright, let's check that underground tunnel you ntioned."
"Okay!"
Yunlong then led Su Chen towards the mountain.
When they were about tens of ters from the hill, they stopped. Here appeared a slightly hidden entrance.
This was a desolate area, so a cave-like entrance wouldn't attract much attention, people wouldn't bother to look at it.
If Yunlong hadn't purchased the land for developing the resort, perhaps no one would have discovered it!
"Have you checked it out?" Su Chen asked.
"No, I didn't pay much attention at first."
Yunlong shook his head.
"Alright, let's go inside now."
Su Chen then entered the cave, following the sloped pathway down, estimating a vertical drop of twenty to thirty ters to the bottom.
"Didn't expect it to be so deep!"
Yunlong exclaid, turning on his flashlight.
A straight tunnel extended far before them.
"The soil looks fresh; it should have been dug recently."
Su Chen comnted as they walked forward,
"Seems the work hasn't been completed."
"These people probably excavated at night."
Yunlong echoed.
They soon reached the end, seeing a mix of soil and a mottled wall of rock and dirt. Su Chen's lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"Alright, let's head back up."
Su Chen turned around, with Yunlong following closely.
"Brother, who'd dig such a tunnel in this deserted place, and what's the purpose?"
Back outside, Yunlong asked,
"And could the gatekeeper's death be related to them?"
"It's unclear for now."
Su Chen shook his head, then said,
"Yunlong, quickly drive and buy a few things, three caras and a night vision scope, get the best quality!"
"Sure, no problem."
Yunlong agreed and drove off quickly.
About an hour later, he returned.
Su Chen installed the caras in hidden spots nearby, connecting their footage to his mobile.
Though he wasn't as skilled in tech as Shadow, setting up surveillance caras was a simple task.
"Yunlong, drive the car a bit farther and hide it, act as usual."
Su Chen advised, cautious not to alert anyone.
Yunlong excitedly complied, reminiscing their tis working side-by-side!
Just like Su Chen, Yunlong wasn't too fond of business; he preferred the thrill and excitent!
It was evening now; both waited in an empty construction site house.
