Qiu Ruoxi just gave a faint “mm” in response, and there was no follow-up after that. She didn’t ask Ye Xunhuan what he had been doing these past few days, nor did she utter a single word of concern, completely ignoring Ye Xunhuan as if he didn’t exist.

“They’re heading to the welfare center to drop off so supplies for the kids!” Wang Ma answered honestly.
The welfare center?
Upon hearing those three words, Ye Xunhuan couldn’t help but think of that lovely, admirable old director.
