As Lin Qianru finished, Lu Tianxing’s mind filled with images of Bai Zhiqing’s worried face whenever he was in danger, his body trembling as if struck by lightning.
He could imagine that when Bai Zhiqing faced the attack, her first feeling must have been helplessness, wanting to find soone to rely on, soone to confide in, which would surely be him. But to avoid him worrying, Bai Zhiqing suppressed her helplessness solely to prevent his concern.
Lu Tianxing dared not think about how deep this love was, because he couldn’t provide Bai Zhiqing the perfect love she wanted at the mont. All he could do was hold her hand and grow old together.
