With the touch of his lips and roll of his tongue, he swallowed the rest of her words, turning them into a faint whimper. Gu Mengmeng was blushing when he finally released her from his deep kiss. Lea chuckled. “As long as we can ensure your safety, we are not afraid of entering hell. We would even find the road to the netherworld fortable and spacious. So keep your ‘I would rather’ and maintain your little fairy status and just let us protect you. If you dare do again what you did at the Motou mountains… I will return the favor and let you personally witness everyone you care about, including me, dying in the most cruel fashion right before your eyes.”
Gu Mengmeng cowered and smiled back at him. “Didn’t I already explain? I only jumped as I was confident that Gregory would catch me. That was just the threatening tactics of an immature person. I was not really seeking death…”
“There were so many solutions but you chose the type of method that would drive Elvis and I crazy.” Lea glanced at Chixuan. “You are willing to abandon us for him and that really upsets me.”
Gu Mengmeng knew that Lea wouldn’t really kill Chixuan. But if pushed to the edge, there were many ways to torture someone without taking their lives. There was no way she would let her precious son endure Lea’s cruel methods. Hence, she immediately acquiesced and hugged Lea’s waist with a cajoling smile. “I am not as smart as you, that was why I could only e up with such a drastic solution. Why don’t you tell me what you had intended to do then? I will learn from you and never mit the same mistake again.”
How could Lea not see through Gu Mengmeng’s intentions? But he would have never harmed Chixuan anyway, and so he just went along with her. Taking advantage of his current upper hand, he pinched her little nose and said, “Very simple. Just sing a song.”
“Huh? What song?” Gu Mengmeng was nonplussed.
Lea chuckled. “There are only two races in the Beast World who can sing. The mermaid tribe and the bird tribe. But in the mermaid tribe, only the females can sing, while in the bird tribe, only the males know how to.”
Gu Mengmeng pondered for a moment before suddenly smiling. “So if the voice of a female singing was heard among the Motou mountains, it would attract the attention of the other birds. They would definitely e forth to investigate, and there’s a good chance we can find someone among them to transport us down the mountains.”
Gu Mengmeng rapped her own head with regret. “I am really stupid. Why didn’t I think of that? I just kept thinking that Gregory is the only one in the whole world with wings. But how did you know only the males in the bird tribe can sing?”
Lea chuckled. “Have you forgotten that there is a bird tribe in Saint Nazaire? And I was the one who signed the blood alliance with them.”
