Arnold pletely ignored Hodgson’s provocation, and smiled as he looked at the flowers scattered on the ground. Then, he said to Sandy, “These flowers can cover the ground that you have walked on, so my efforts had not gone to waste. I saw that you ate many grilled meat during dinner just now. Since it might be too greasy, I placed two chrysanthemums in the little bamboo cup that you placed on the tableand added some honey with water. You should drink it when you return later on and you should feel much better then. Fox King seems to be having a situation, I have to follow my beast Father to take instructions from the Fox King so I have to go first.”
After he said that, before Sandy could respond, Arnold gracefully turned around and walked out.
After taking a few steps, he stopped and turned his head slightly to look at the moon in the sky, saying, “Sandy, look.”
Sandy instinctively looked up and followed Arnold to look in the same direction at the moon. She could not tell any difference and looked at Arnold with a confused look.
Her eyes met with Arnold’s deep gaze and gentle smile. His lips rose up to match the golden ratio, causing his silhouette to be extremely beautifully. With his voice filled with a faint enchantment and flirty tone, he said, “We just witnessed the moonlight together just now.”
There was nothing after that. He left behind a satisfied and light smile, then left.
Gu Mengmeng’s eyes were sharp. From this distance, she could still clearly see Sandy’s face flushing red.
That chubby little hands instinctively held her heart as she watched Arnold’s leaving backing and could not turn away.
Gu Mengmeng frowned. The Beast World’s males were good at anything else but they were almost not romantic at all, so even though Sandy had ten over partners, all of them would stand before her and defend her, yet there were none who could make her this mesmerised.
But how could there be that many life-threatening situations and huge obstacles for them to showcase themselves?
These type of trick that was not heart stirring but romantic brought about a temptation too huge for Sandy.
After a long time, when Arnold’s backview had already disappeared, Sandy then slowly kept her gaze. She did not look at her partners but turned to Gu Mengmeng. Her eyes were teary and was filled with helplessness. Her lips quivered but she could not say anything.
Gu Mengmeng took a deep breath and took the initiative to walk over. She hugged Sandy and asked, “What’s wrong? Just say it, is there anything that cannot be shared between us?”
Sandy felt nasty and her tone was filled with slight restraint when she said, “Gu Mengmeng, I think I might have fallen in love with Arnold… But I cannot bee partners with him, he is from the Snow Fox Clan…”
Gu Mengmeng’s heart skipped a beat and she held Sandy’s little face, saying to her, “Are you a fool? In the Beast World, having a partner is purely based on feelings, what has it got to do with the clan? Did you forget? Who was it who told me that you are feeling great and want to have a partner, so I just have to lie and wait. What now? When you were teaching me, you had so many tricks but when it es to you, you became a scaredy cat?”
Sandy was not a glib talker like Gu Mengmeng and her heart was in a huge conflict that she could not reach a conclusion so quickly. But after hearing Gu Mengmeng speak so casually, she suddenly felt that her worry was not that serious.
She laughed and said, “Let’s talk about it later, maybe I might not like him anymore after two days?”
When she said it, Sandy’s eyes could not help but secretly glance at the moon.
