Chixuan stayed silent for a moment, then said, “To watch over Cole, I had stayed here for too long. I am worried about Kanwu being alone at Zacharias… Since you guys have returned, I shall be returning to Zacharias to keep him pany.”
Gu Mengmeng felt the greatest heartache for Chixuan.
When he was young, he suffered the most. After he grew older, he was the son who had to travel around the most.
Hugging Chixuan, Gu Mengmeng said in a sorry manner, :There is a night campfire party to celebrate my return. You should stay here and join in, let Lea Daddy prepare some good food to nourish your body. You should leave tomorrow morning, alright?”
Ever since Gu Mengmeng burst out into tears that one time, Chixuan could never bring himself to decline Gu Mengmeng. He could only nod his head and smile as he agreed.
Elvis had been out for a long time. Even though there seemed to be no actions taken by the Wolf Clan, they were actually holding it in and naturally there were many matters Elvis had to deal with after his return.
As Gu Mengmeng kept away Elvis’s beast skin skirt, she said, “Go, you are the Wolf King, all the wolves are waiting and watching you. I am going to visit Sandy, it will be fine with Lea’s pany.”
Elvis also knew that ever since the matter with Gregory, Lea and he had been too uptight, causing Gu Mengmeng to feel immense pressure, and Mengmeng was hoping that he could divert his attention to something else and not be too uptight because of her.
In fact, how was it possible for him to not feel anxious for her?
But he was willing to cooperate with her arrangements, so that she would believe that he had already diverted his attention.
He nodded and planted a kiss on Gu Mengmeng’s forehead, saying, “Before the night campfire party, I will go fetch you.”
Gu Mengmeng nodded in agreement, then glanced meaningfully at her three sons, signalling for them to follow Elvis. With their father backing them up, it was easily for them to instil a domineering image of the Wolf Clan young masters.
After Elvis led her three sons away, Lea handled over the task of preparing for the night campfire party to Auretin.
Auretin was both the Messenger of the Beast Deity’s protector and Gu Mengmeng’s guardian beast. Even though he was not a witch doctor, no one dared to doubt him.
Ever since Gu Mengmeng came to the Beast World, the frequency of the night campfire party had bee higher. Even though Auretin had never organised it personally, he had assisted Lea many times and was quite used to it.
Without anything to do, Lea carried Gu Mengmeng and swaying his tail, walked from the meeting room to Sandy’s house.
Gu Mengmeng wrapped her arms around Lea’s neck and asked, “What is happening at Cole’s side?”
Lea burst out into laughter and said, “You will know when it’s time for the night campfire party, the scene… is really exciting.”
Seeing Lea with a relaxed and joyous expression, she knew that Cole must not have been living well during this period of time. So long as he was not well, Gu Mengmeng felt really good.
As for how bad he was, Gu Mengmeng was not bothered to find out.
When they were near the boundary of Sandy’s territory, Gu Mengmeng saw Arnold leaning at the cave entrance to strike a pose, as he looked into the sky with his head 45 degree tilted.
Sandy was sitting at the other side of the cave entrance with the seven wolves eagerly serving her. If not because of their height, Gu Mengmeng would have thought she was looking at Snow White.
Sandy had an awkward expression that seemed like she was holding back tears and laughter. Occasionally, she would glance secretly at Arnold and did not dare to turn her head to look at him straight in the face. At one point in time, she would be fed fruits by Hodgson, and another time Jerry would hand her a cup of honey water…
“Little bear bun,” Gu Mengmeng called out. It was just three words but it was as though the the pause button was pushed, as everyone stopped their movement and turned over to look at Gu Mengmeng.
