Bai Qingqing hugged Muir back, rubbed her face against his shoulder, and forted him. “I’m fine. Sorry for making you worried.”
Muir deeply inhaled air that carried a mixture of sulfur and his mate’s scent, then looked up at Curtis soaking in the hot spring opposite her. He sincerely said, “Thanks.”
Curtis couldn’t be bothered to respond to him. He was sounding as if Snow was his spouse alone.
Exhausted, Bai Qingqing didn’t even have the strength to speak. Hence, Muir didn’t disrupt her rest.
After soaking for about half an hour, Bai Qingqing started to feel groggy and felt even less like moving.
Just then, tiger roars started ringing in the forest, getting increasingly close.
