"Oh! Wonderful cross, but who’s gonna get on the end of it?
It skips past everyone. Looks like it has been overhit.
Oh wait, hold on a minute, Koch is running in completely unmarked at the back posttt!"
"GOALLLL!!! Diving header from Robin Koch. Lukas with his first assist from his first touch of his first team career," Derek scread.
Robin ran to the corner where Lukas was standing pointing at him as he jumped on him.
"THAT WAS SO CLEAN, MAN!" Robin scread at Lukas as the other teammates joined them at the corner to celebrate.
"Nice one, my turn next," Ekitike said as he patted Lukas on the shoulder.
Lukas chuckled and said sothing inaudible to Ekitike.
After the rounds of celebration, the players went back to their half so the match could resu.
The goal had deflated the ho team’s morale. A relegation-zone team being two goals down in the 70th minute against a Champions League spot contender was not an ideal situation. But coach Blessin — the St. Pauli coach — still, for so reason, believed that his team could salvage sothing from the ga.
He scread at the top of his lungs, urging them forward as the ga resud. For Eintracht Frankfurt, defending was the goal, and Lukas played his part perfectly.
It had been 10 minutes since he ca on, but Lukas spent almost all that ti just outside his own penalty box. The highest player for Frankfurt was Ekitike, and he was just at the edge of the center circle inside his own half.
The ho crowd, now roaring, backing their team, feeling like they could get sothing back from the ga, was silenced in the 85th minute.
A shot from a St. Pauli player was blocked by Tuta who passed the ball to Collins down the right flank. Collins advanced forward with the ball, and just as he crossed the center line, he heard a shout: "On your left!"
He glanced to his left and saw Lukas unmarked, hovering just beyond the center circle, and played a ground pass to him.
Lukas trapped the ball with his left leg, looked up to his left and saw Marmoush hugging the touchline and starting to run forward.
"BOOOOO!!" The ho fans’ jeers grew louder imdiately Lukas touched the ball. He had delivered a beautiful corner kick with his first touch on the ball, and they weren’t gonna let a 16-year-old debutant use their favourite team to shine.
But Lukas couldn’t hear them. It was like all his senses were tuned to take in only what happens inside the pitch.
With his eyes glued to Marmoush, Lukas raised his left foot and hit the ball directly down the middle to an Ekitike who had successfully beat the offside trap.
The St. Pauli midfielder followed Lukas’ line of sight, thinking he would pass to the wing, stretched his legs to intercept the pass, but the ball just went through them.
"Lukas with the ball... He looks to find Marmou— Oh my God! What a pass. Straight down the middle. He has fooled the midfield and the defense. One pass has cut St. Pauli wide open. Ekitike one-on-one, can he do it.... YOU BET HE CAN! 3 - 0 for Eintracht Frankfurt! There is a reason they rushed this kid to the big stages, in a hostile atmosphere. He’s currently showing that reason to the world. 4th tier, 1st tier, it doesn’t seem to matter to the young man!" Derek, the comntator, scread at the top of his lungs as Lukas and his team mates ran towards Ekitike who was celebrating in front of the traveling supporters.
"It’s unbelievable, Derek, to pick out Ekitike and fool the defense with just an eye and a pass even when the whole stadium seed to be booing you, is unbelievable in a player’s debut ga. The composure and the awareness is nothing like his age would suggest," Stewart added.
Javi was standing in the middle of a huge crowd screaming at the top of his lungs. Who would care about ’calm and composure’ when their only child just provided 2 assists on his debut Bundesliga match?
As for Topmöller, after celebrating the third goal, he went back to the bench and sat down with his assistants.
"I guess we’re gonna find a way to fit him in the starting lineup from now on?" Assistant coach Buck asked.
"Yeah... We have to rethink the formation," Topmöller responded as he nodded his head.
As the ga resud, it the ho team was just trying to see out the ga. They fell back, only making safe passes. The third goal took the sting out of the ga.
Lukas, though, remained vigilant — chasing down lose balls, playing calm passes even under pressure — but it was obvious the team wasn’t pushing for another goal.
" I knew he was good enough for the league from our training sessions, but this calmness isn’t sothing that can be taught." Topmöller thought as he looked at Lukas send a perfectly lobbed pass towards Collins while under pressure from the St. Pauli center midfielder.
No matter how good a young player was in training, it was normal to expect a few suboptimal decisions in his first ga. It could be indecisiveness, or maybe just making a wrong decision when there were better options.
But Lukas, did none of that.
"FWEEE!" The referee’s whistle blew to end the ga after four minutes of stoppage ti.
"And that is that! A happy new year for Eintracht Frankfurt as they put three past St. Pauli. The night, though, belongs to the debutant — Lukas Brandt — with an instant contribution. The man of the match goes to Omar Marmoush for his beautiful opener, but Lukas can hold his head high. St. Pauli will want to bounce back strongly from this as they’re currently just one point above the relegation zone — no club wants to be in that position. It’s been a blast Derek, see you all next ti."
"Have a great night, Stewart. Now off to Kay Murray at the studio."
"Wow! Can you imagine our boy now playing in the Bundesliga? That’s crazy," João said as he watched Trapp push Lukas to the go cheer the away fans.
As Lukas walked towards their direction, the applause got a lot louder as he applauded them back.
"The fans love him already," João added.
"I bet they do. Look at that girl over there swinging a scarf... I should get myself a scarf too," Joanna muttered under her breath as she sneakily recorded the TV screen with her phone.
"Did you say sothing?"
"I wasn’t talking to you."
"Hmm... Okay, lem know when I need to call the psychiatric hospital."
"Shut up."
"Anyway, lem go see if 433 has posted sothing," João said as he logged into Instagram with his unofficial account.
Eintracht Frankfurt back to winning ways. LukAs BrAndt with two assists on his debut.
Was the caption of the 433 post with a photo of Koch running to the corner pointing at Lukas.
He opened the comnt section
@DieFrankfurter: Beware Europe, Brandt is coming. Not that fake Brandt at Dortmund, THE REAL ONE.
@blacknyellow_4ever: Fym? Julian clears this kid. One ga and we won’t hear the end of it, small club ntality.
@notJoaoG: Oh you great big club, keep chatting sh*t as your club struggles as your mid-table club struggles at 8th. You just lost to Leverkusen at ho yesterday, right? And you have a match against last place Kiel on Tuesday right, I bet you’ll lose that too.
@blacknyellow_4ever: Yeah there’s no way in hell that’s gonna happen... This Lukas guy, though, could just be a one ga wonder. Let’s see how/if he plays the rest of the season.
@notJoaoG: Worry about your team, man. Our boy Lukas is the best player in the country!! Already more assists than half the players on your starting lineup.
@DieFrankfurter: Alright Mr. notJoao, let’s calm down. I like your belief in our team, but it’s just one ga.
"Jeez, who’s this undercover Dortmund fan with a Frankfurt userna?" João hissed as he threw his phone on the couch next to him.
He was now wearing an Eintracht Frankfurt jersey with "49 BRANDT" behind it. He got it after Lukas signed the professional contract.
Joanna on the other hand, had her eyes glued to her phone.
She typed, then backspaced it all. Then started typing again.
It took ten minutes before she finally sent the ssage.
Joanna: "Congrats. I watched the match. You played so well. João was mad you didn’t tell him you were gonna play today."
João never said anything of the sort.
Back at the Millerntor stadium, Lukas stepped into the away locker room to a little round of applause.
"Nice ga, Luke," Götze said as he shook hands with Lukas. "That pass to Hugo was beautiful."
"Thanks, Mario. I wasn’t sure I’d pull it off, but I wanted to try."
"Don’t be too humble about it, Luke, you planned it all from the beginning." Ekitike said as he sat down on the bench his shirt hung over his shoulder.
A/N: Have a beautiful day. And happy new month! Jeez it’s August, the year is over. That was quick.
Have fun tho.
P.S.: MagicMF and all present and future Dortmund supporters, no disrespect to the Black and Yellow, I promise! It’s just cause that’s the only club that I’m currently sure at least one of my readers support, so it’s only natural to take a dig at em.
