Akira smiled faintly as he looked down at Diodora Astaroth, pinned beneath his foot-seething with rage and hatred, yet utterly

powerless to strike back.

That helpless, frustrated expression... was honestly satisfying.

The face of soone who wanted to tear him apart, but couldn't—it was the kind of sight that made him feel truly alive.

"Akira, that's enough," Rias's voice ca from the side, gentle yet firm. "Don't push this too far."

While many of the young devils around them were content to just stand and watch, Rias couldn't afford to be too calm.

Diodora was the heir to the Astaroth Clan, one of the Seventy-Two Pillars. He also shared blood with the current Maou Beelzebub, who held an important position in the Underworld. If this confrontation escalated any further, things could turn much uglier.

Devil nobility placed enormous value on pride and honor. An open grudge in a formal gathering like this would sha more than just the individuals involved.

And yet...

Without a change in his expression, Akira lifted his foot and delivered another swift kick-this ti striking Diodora square in the lower abdon.

The Astaroth heir's body lifted off the floor before crashing into a banquet table.

Cakes, wine, and finger foods scattered across the floor. Diodora rolled among the ss, his appearance now completely humiliating. "I'll kill you, human...!"

His crimson eyes blazed with fury as he began gathering demonic power. However questionable the origins of his position might be, his strength as a devil was nothing to scoff at.

Though not quite on the sa prodigious level as Rias, he was still among the more gifted of the high-class devils. Even without calling on the "serpent" of Ophis hidden within him, he could easily stand among the upper echelon.

"Kill him, Diodora! I'm with you!"

"Yeah! Teach that human who's in charge in the Underworld!"

"Make him regret ever coming here!"

"Pathetic, Diodora. Even after all that, you're letting him humiliate you like this..."

The shouts ca from all directions-so in Diodora's favor, so mocking him, and others simply eager for more chaos.

That was the true nature of young devil aristocrats. So long as they weren't the ones directly involved, they'd never miss the chance to enjoy the spectacle.

Right now, Akira and Diodora were the eye of the storm.

For many of the devils here, a human 'winning the heart' of Rias Gremory was an insult in itself. This was their chance to verbally tear him down.

On the other hand, Diodora wasn't exactly popular either. His ties to the Old Maou faction and his difficulty fitting into the current ruling circle had earned him plenty of enemies.

Then-an overwhelming pressure swept across the hall.

The noise and magical energy instantly vanished. Every devil who had been shouting or cheering suddenly froze, their bodies weighed down by an unbearable aura.

Guests were forced to kneel or collapse on the spot. Only a handful

could remain standing-Sairaorg Bael among them-though even he trembled, sweat running down his face.

This aura... felt divine.

"... Be silent, all of you. Trash."

The voice cut through the air, cold and dripping with superiority.

It was the voice of soone looking down from on high-a god mocking re mortals. The magic accompanying it was so intense it nearly pierced the ceiling.

In a special room overlooking the main hall, the VIP guests had a clear view of the scene.

"Heh... this aura. That must be the Red Dragon Emperor, yes?" murmured an old man with a long white beard and a fur-lined robe, gazing out the window.

"Yes, Odin-sama," replied a young man with crimson hair and a faint smile. "His na is Shin Akira. The current wielder of the Boosted Gear... and my younger sister's fiancé."

It was Maou Sirzechs Lucifer-one of the Four Great Maou of the Underworld.

"No wonder. Not only conquering an era, but your sister managed to tie down a monster like that to the devil's side." Odin let out a long sigh. "You devils always move faster than anyone else."

"You flatter us, Odin-sama."

"Cih." Odin clicked his tongue, glancing at Sirzechs with a mix of

irritation and envy.

His gaze shifted to one of his bodyguards-a young woman in silver armor, standing with composed dignity.

Rossweisse. A Valkyrie, born into a warrior family from the Norse countryside. Her grandmother, Grendal, was a renowned Valkyrie mage, and both her parents had served the gods.

Raised in such an environnt, Rossweisse had grown into a gifted

warrior.

Though she never inherited her family's signature summoning magic, she excelled in the Valkyrie's combat sorcery. In an age where Valkyries were dwindling, she was chosen to be Odin's personal

guard.

She was dependable. But...

Far too rigid. Rossweisse often reprimanded Odin's bad habits outright-even going

so far as to forbid him from visiting won's baths in the na of

protecting the gods' dignity.

Odin sighed inwardly.

But now... an idea struck him.

Turning to Rossweisse again, he said, "Rossweisse, I have an important

mission for you. Only you can carry it out."

"A mission?" She straightened, eyes firm with resolve. "What is it,

Odin-sama?"

"This concerns the future of the Norse."

The mont those words reached her ears, Rossweisse didn't

hesitate. "I will see it done."

For her, the well-being of the Norse realm ca before all else. She

had been raised to serve, ready to give her life for her holand.

"Good." Odin's smile was sly. "Look down there. You see the green-haired man, don't you?"

"Hmm? You an... that handso one who just floored a devil?"

Rossweisse's expression shifted slightly as she studied Akira. With his refined features and almost androgynous aura, he was more beautiful than most won.

If he wore won's clothing... no one would ever realize he was a

man.

"Yes. That's your target."

"...Target?"

Her eyes narrowed.

"Very well. I'll kill him... for the sake of the Norse."

A deadly aura radiated from her-nothing like the hesitation she'd

shown monts ago.

In the room, Sirzechs could only press a hand to his temple, his face

flat.

Seriously... That's my sister's fiancé you're talking about killing. And you're saying it right in front of ?

For a brief mont, the entire room felt a few degrees colder.
