[Congratulations, Host! You have obtained: Wind Breathing – Sword Technique!]

A barrage of system notifications flooded Yukinoshita Akira’s mind, leaving even him montarily stunned.

That was... absurd. Just from slaying one—no, two—Upper Moon Six demons, his Template Inheritance had increased by ten percent? Was the system malfunctioning?

Normally, a Lower Moon demon was worth three percent. aning, one Upper Moon should be five.

Gyutaro and Daki shared one body, yet the system treated them as two distinct entities—each counted separately.

Unexpected, but a welco surprise.

His power had skyrocketed.

And more than that, he had now acquired both Wind Breathing and Stone Breathing—along with their full sword forms.

Even the complete twelve forms of Sun Breathing were now his.

As for the thirteenth form—it wasn’t a single move, but rather a seamless cycle of all twelve perford consecutively without pause.

An eternal flow—the pinnacle of Sun Breathing.

In short, he had now inherited the full arsenal of Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s swordsmanship.

Yet that accounted for only thirty percent of the total Template Progress.

Seventy percent still remained locked.

Just how imnse must Yoriichi’s full power have been?

No wonder the man was called the "Child of Destiny" of the Demon Slayer world—the supre existence who single-handedly drove Muzan Kibutsuji to the brink of annihilation.

Yes, almost.

Because of that battle, Muzan had beco a coward.

He hid in the shadows, never daring to face Yoriichi again—even until the man’s death from old age.

That legendary technique—the one that sliced Muzan’s body into eighteen hundred pieces in an instant and obliterated fifteen hundred of them in a single fiery strike—was none other than Sun Breathing: Thirteenth Form.

Akira clenched his fist.

If he truly wished to end this war against demons once and for all, he would have to defeat Muzan himself.

But after nearly being destroyed by Yoriichi, Muzan had vanished completely—slipping away like a shadow.

The next ti they t... would be the only ti.

And if Akira failed—if Muzan escaped again—it would be nearly impossible to find him in this modern world of airplanes, trains, and ships.

He needed to beco stronger.

Strong enough to end everything in one blow.

Strong enough to erase Muzan Kibutsuji from existence.

"Is... is it finally over?"

A cautious voice echoed from behind.

Yukinoshita Haruno stepped into the ruined hall, her eyes darting around the shattered pillars and pools of blood with visible unease.

Even after watching the demons vanish before her eyes, a sense of dread lingered.

"...For now, yes," Akira replied. "But it’s safe to say I’m officially on Muzan’s radar now."

"Eh...?"

Haruno hesitated.

From the beginning, Akira had already been a target. When Daki first appeared, she imdiately recognized him as the one who had slain the Lower Moon Six.

That ant the Upper Moons—and by extension, Muzan himself—had been tracking him all along.

And yet, because of her... Akira had been dragged even deeper into that darkness.

A twinge of guilt settled in her chest.

"Don’t worry about it too much," Akira said, brushing the soot from his sleeve. "For now, handle the aftermath. I’ll leave the cleanup to you."

Haruno nodded. "Understood. I’ll take care of it."

"Oh—and don’t touch the blood."

"Why?"

"Gyutaro’s blood is laced with poison. It won’t kill you instantly just by being near it, but direct contact is fatal. And I can’t cure it. If you’re poisoned, it’s only a matter of ti."

"I-I understand..."

She quickly backed away, avoiding the dark puddles spreading across the floor.

At that mont, Akira’s eyes shifted toward sothing else—soone lying motionless near the far wall.

A girl dressed in a maid-like outfit. Her long, silvery hair was tied in a loose ponytail.

"Wait... Saki? Kawasaki Saki? What is she doing here?"

"She was trapped inside Daki’s sashes," Haruno explained. "When Daki died, her Blood Demon Art collapsed, freeing the captives."

"Alive?"

"Should be. The sashes can preserve living humans—like cocoons. Looks like she was kept unconscious."

Akira crouched beside her and pressed two fingers against her wrist.

A faint pulse.

"She’s alive," he said softly. "No major injuries."

Haruno exhaled in relief. At least one survivor.

But behind that relief... ca a hollow ache.

Because if only one survived—it ant the other four were gone.

For soone like Haruno, who had never experienced death up close, losing four people at once was unbearable.

"...Uuh."

A faint groan drew their attention.

Kawasaki Saki stirred. Her brow furrowed. Then her eyes snapped open, filled with fear.

"D-don’t kill —!"

She jolted upright, trembling, her breathing shallow.

Her gaze darted around until it t Akira’s.

"Wh—where am I?! Who are you?!"

Two questions, sharp and panicked, escaped her lips.

"This place is called Angel’s Ladder," Akira answered calmly. "My na is Yukinoshita Akira. Welco back from the edge of death. You were caught by a demon—but you’re safe now. You survived."

"Demon? You an that white-haired woman?"

"That’s right. But she’s gone. You don’t need to worry anymore."

Kawasaki looked around—the blood-stained walls, the scorched floor, the shattered columns.

Everywhere she looked, the destruction told the sa story: an unimaginable battle had taken place here.

And yet... sohow, she was alive.

Her trembling began to ease as Akira’s voice reached her—steady, calm, and strangely comforting.

Yes... she had been captured. She rembered the white-haired woman. The suffocating darkness. The sensation of being pulled into living fabric.

Then... nothing.

Until now.

Sothing massive had happened while she slept—a miracle that allowed her to wake up again.

Her eyes locked onto Akira’s face, studying him carefully.

Yukinoshita Akira.

That na wasn’t unfamiliar.

He was her classmate. The quiet, mysterious one whose na carried an air of unease.

Rumors called him a monster.

And with the family na Yukinoshita, it wasn’t just his peers who treated him differently—even teachers, aside from Shizuka Hiratsuka, seed reluctant to cross him.

Now, seeing him surrounded by flas and ruin, wielding power beyond human comprehension...

Those rumors no longer felt like exaggerations.

They felt like the truth.
