[It feels like sothing is being plotted...]

[They wouldn’t take advantage of Silvanus being asleep to do sothing, would they?]

[Honestly speaking, Silvanus might be a bit of a sweet talker, but as Lucian said, he’s a lamb in this place, lol.]

[A lamb can only end up in a wolf’s mouth. I’m predicting he’ll be the first to get dealt with!!!]

[I don’t think so. At least while Lucian and Ryan are still around, I don’t feel Silvanus will be taken out.]

[Yeah, never mind Ryan, even though Lucian seems annoyed by Silvanus, he gives off the vibe that no one is allowed to touch Silvanus except him, hahaha.]

Unaware of the barrage of comnts flying past, Ryan and Lucian exchanged glances. In the end, it was Lucian who broke the silence.

He ran a hand through his hair, sweeping back his flaming red locks, and his face—usually full of arrogance—showed a rare mont of reluctant acceptance:

"Fine then. Either way, if Silvanus falls, it’ll be by my hand."

Ryan frowned slightly, his voice cold:

"He has no mory. This isn’t the ti for you to show off your superiority."

The constant flood of viewer comnts made it clear they believed Ryan’s ntion of Silvanus having no mory referred to his fall and resulting amnesia.

But Silvanus didn’t think it was that simple. He had a strong feeling that Ryan and Lucian’s conversation went beyond the confines of this dungeon.

Indeed, Silvanus hadn’t fallen asleep—but his acting skills were no joke. Coupled with his recently evolved body, he had tested it and genuinely managed to fool Lucian and Ryan.

The more he listened, the more bizarre things seed. The two of them felt like... like they weren’t from this dinsion. In fact—who were they? Were they the sa as him? And if his suspicions were correct when they said he had no mory—what exactly were they referring to?

His lost mories from a past life?

Or... so far-off mory he never even knew existed?

No one could answer Silvanus’s questions.

Just then, he sensed footsteps approaching—it was Ryan.

Silvanus quickly snapped out of his chaotic thoughts, focusing on maintaining the act of sleep, ensuring not even the slightest slip-up.

He felt Ryan lift a hand, gently touching his forehead. A wave of warm energy instantly spread across Silvanus’s entire body.

He could feel his wounds healing at an astonishing speed.

Ryan lowered his gaze to Silvanus’s face, which had softened now that it was no longer twisted in pain. A faint smile crossed his lips before he turned and walked away with Lucian.

As soon as the door closed, Silvanus’s eyes flew open.

The first thing he saw was the moldy, old ceiling above him.

[He’s not asleep?]

[What’s impressive is that he fooled both Lucian and Ryan. I don’t think Silvanus is a lamb at all.]

[Exactly, just from how he pretended to be pitiful, you can tell he’s not ordinary.]

[Hahaha, this ti it’s not just the villain pretending—now the real fun begins!]

Silvanus reached up and touched his forehead, then turned to look at the now tightly shut door.

His narrowed eyes were full of thought.

His suspicions had been correct—Lucian and Ryan truly weren’t from this ti and space.

Because if they were... they wouldn’t have powers like the ability to heal wounds.

This was the information Silvanus had gathered after reading through the comnts since entering this dungeon.

Silvanus rolled up his sleeve, only to see that the terrifying bruise on his arm had vanished entirely—without a trace as if it had never existed.

Ryan’s healing ability was more terrifying than any Esper Silvanus had ever encountered.

Speaking of those injuries—no one had pushed Silvanus. Everything had been part of his act. He had inflicted them on himself.

Although painful, the result was satisfying enough to be worth it.

Lucian’s contradictory attitude and Ryan’s genuine attentiveness—at this point, Silvanus could say with near certainty that neither Lucian nor Ryan would lay a hand on him.

It was only a pity that he didn’t have access to the individual broadcast feeds for each participant in the dungeon. If he did, he’d understand Lucian and Ryan even better and their true purpose for appearing here.

"Knock knock knock!"

The sound of urgent knocking rang out, followed by aboil’s annoyed voice:

"It’s already way past morning. Are you guys planning to sleep all day? Don’t forget we still have a mission!"

"They think we’re here on vacation or sothing..."

Ciel’s grumbling voice ca right after.

Silvanus felt that this dungeon was bizarre and chaotic. He couldn’t hear Lucian and Ryan’s conversation through the door just yesterday. But now, he could hear everything loud and clear—even Ciel’s muttering didn’t escape his ears.

"BANG!"

A loud crash suddenly echoed—Lucian kicking the door open.

Aboli, who had been about to knock again, was so startled he fell flat on the ground.

Lucian ruffled his hair, snapping irritably:

"It’s barely morning—are we not allowed to sleep anymore?! If you want to go, then go ahead!"

Silvanus: "..."

He knew full well that neither Lucian nor Ryan had been asleep.

But if Lucian didn’t want him being woken up, then that kick alone would’ve done the job—it was louder than Aboli’s knocking.

A loyal but dumb dog.

"You’re up?" Ryan suddenly spoke.

Silvanus blinked, then smiled:

"You were right. Resting did make feel a lot better."

Lucian turned his head, only to see Silvanus chatting cheerfully with Ryan.

It made him even more irritated—though he couldn’t quite put his finger on why.

"We’re a team, Lucian. Your attitude has been off since yesterday..."

Bryan suddenly spoke up.

It sounded like a warning bell.

Silvanus appeared beside Lucian at that exact mont, wearing a guilty expression as he said to Bryan:

"It’s my fault. I couldn’t sleep last night—it probably affected Lucian’s mood."

"What were you two doing that kept you from sleeping?"

Julie asked with a suspicious look.

[...]

[Now that’s a great question.]

[Ryan and Lucian argued, then Lucian lost, then Ryan touched Silvanus, then neither Ryan nor Lucian could sleep the whole night, and Silvanus didn’t sleep either...]

[Please, bro, the above is just giving us a recap of last night, right?! What even is that descriptive ability?!]

[Exactly. One sleepless night... with lingering aftertaste, hahaha.]

[lmao]

[These comnts make it feel like this dungeon has Nerio in it—soone save us!!!]

[And Lucian’s attitude makes feel like this is a dungeon with the Prophet. He’s a pri candidate for the Prophet’s believer, hahaha—he’s no different from Drake!]

[Please don’t compare Captain Drake to so naless anybody.]

Lucian’s expression grew darker as he faced the others. They were not allowed to interfere too much with this dungeon for so reason.

He and Ryan were only here to ensure Silvanus didn’t die before "that thing" happened.

And just to be here, Lucian was sure that Ryan—like himself—had paid quite a hefty price.

Of course, Lucian thought he was entirely different from Ryan. Ryan had co here out of reverence and overwhelming concern, while Lucian had co solely to make sure that he would be the one to take Silvanus down—not so random stupid monster.

As he thought this, Lucian glanced toward Silvanus’s face, still a little dazed and full of innocent cluelessness.

Thank god he and Ryan were here—otherwise, Silvanus would’ve gone down without knowing why! Hmph!

In the end, it was Bryan who broke the silence:

"Alright, let’s go—ti to et the village chief. Just rember, we’re a team. No matter what happens, I hope everyone can stay calm and work together. We haven’t even started the mission yet—we can’t afford infighting this early!"

At the very least, Bryan was still the team leader. Even if so of them still held resentnt, no one voiced it—Lucian included, who only scoffed coldly.

It seed that even with power, Lucian and Ryan were still bound by certain restrictions—like being unable to go out of character, perhaps?

Eventually, the group set off toward the village chief’s house.

It was dayti, yet the sky remained unnaturally gloomy.

There wasn’t a single ray of sunlight—just thick black clouds covering the sky as if preparing for another downpour.

"Since when did the weather get this bad? If it starts raining while we dive, it’ll be a real problem..."

Julie murmured, beginning to show signs of anxiety about the mission, especially as they passed by one crude house after another.

The architecture in this village was fundantal—houses made of packed earth, and so without even stone walls.

After the heavy rain, mud was dripping off the sides, making them look like they could collapse at any mont.

The n tirelessly patched the houses with dark red clay while the won and children sat off to the side.

They all looked emaciated as if they had lived in hunger for a long ti.

Their wide, unblinking eyes followed the group of city dwellers—eerily intense and unsettling.

"Can we walk a little faster?" Ciel whispered urgently.

Sothing was disturbing about those people’s eyes—sticky and strangely dangerous.

For a brief mont, he even doubted whether they were the sa species...
