Silvanus took the pink flower from Vivian and tucked it into Dorian’s hair.

Vivian still had a small white flower in her mouth as she hopped around nonstop, so Silvanus could only pick her up.

Vivian held her breath, carefully placing the final blossom onto Dorian’s hair.

By now, Dorian’s long hair had been fully braided, adorned with flowers in shades of pink, blue, and white. Beneath the moonlight, it shimred with breathtaking beauty.

Silvanus and Vivian exchanged a look. In the next instant, Silvanus raised his hand, and at the sa mont Vivian suddenly leapt up, smacking her front paws against his palm.

Master and pet both let out a triumphant cheer.

Sitting there, Dorian smiled as he watched them.

He pulled so of his hair forward. Silvanus was definitely not a professional. Although his hair didn’t look bad, the braids weren’t exactly flawless.

Even so, Dorian didn’t mind. He gently smoothed his hair, then lifted his eyes with anticipation. "Alright, now it’s my turn to braid your hair."

Silvanus had been spinning around while holding Vivian, but he paused at those words. He grinned and held Vivian out. "I think Vivian will definitely enjoy that, haha."

Vivian drooped her ears, shooting Silvanus a resentful glare. Even after Dorian picked her up, she continued staring gloomily at Silvanus without blinking.

Silvanus: "..."

He suddenly had the feeling that he’d wake up at midnight to find Vivian holding a knife to his throat.

In the end, Vivian ended up with a tail full of tiny braids.

Her tail fur had always been fluffy, but now that it was braided into little plaits, it looked noticeably flattened. Silvanus even decorated it with a few small flowers and patted her head comfortingly. "Dorian’s skill really can’t be underestimated. Vivian, how does it feel to get a beauty makeover?"

Vivian twitched her lips, the corners quivering as she bared her fangs.

Silvanus snatched his hand away from her head, and Vivian’s expression instantly returned to normal.

Silvanus placed his hand on her head again, and Vivian’s mouth imdiately started twitching again.

Silvanus: "Hahaha!"

Vivian: "..."

She imdiately turned away and burrowed into Dorian’s arms. Dorian held her, looking at Silvanus in confusion.

Silvanus waved his hand dismissively. "Don’t believe her. She’s always baring her teeth like that. She’s pretending to be all well-behaved for you."

Vivian imdiately let out two soft whimpers at those words, her tail drooping. Dorian instantly felt she looked pitiful. "Silvanus, Vivian is just an animal after all..."

Vivian: "..." I already told you I’m not an animal!

At that mont, Silvanus suddenly said, "Look."

Vivian instinctively poked her head out from Dorian’s arms.

Far on the horizon, the first faint light began to appear. Dawn in Eldoria seed to fast-forward; in no ti at all, the sky was dyed in brilliant orange-gold. Sunlight pierced through layers of clouds, revealing a gentle, shimring glow that illuminated the entire land.

Silvanus gazed toward the radiant sun. Dorian, instead, looked toward Silvanus. Only Vivian was bouncing around excitedly, full of joy.

Then Silvanus suddenly glanced over and imdiately saw Dorian’s eyes—softened by the light, yet shimring with a thin layer of moisture.

Silvanus was startled for a mont. Then he couldn’t help sighing. He smiled and said, "You promised , Dorian. Don’t be sad."

Dorian whispered, "It’s just... the sunlight is too bright for my eyes."

"Silvanus, I’ll be leaving. I want to explore other lands. I won’t stay here forever..."

He wasn’t the one prophesied to save the fate of the Elves, nor would he ever be a bird ant to remain caged forever.

He was simply Dorian. And he wanted to see a wider sky.

Silvanus smiled. "Of course. I’ll go with you."

Under Eldoria’s dawn, a promise between two young souls was forged. As for the future... only the future could know.

Nicole, along with Nana and Silvanus, expressed their gratitude for the Elves’ hospitality and prepared to depart.

The diplomatic officer awkwardly explained that their prince was occupied and unable to see them off.

Nicole assured him it wasn’t a problem.

After stepping through the teleportation gate, the path ahead grew shorter and shorter, the boundary of Eldoria drawing ever closer.

Silvanus couldn’t help turning back. All he could see was the crown of the World Tree buried deep within the clouds, its outline hazy in the drifting white mist.

Vivian suddenly nudged her head against Silvanus’s neck, rubbing gently.

Silvanus curved his lips into a smile. He stroked Vivian’s head, turned away, and stepped forward without hesitation.

Their journey wouldn’t end in just one place.

Dorian... until we et again.

The silver leaves gradually appeared before them. This ti Nicole gave a strict reminder:

"Silvanus, Nana, do not bow. Just keep your eyes straight ahead, and don’t turn back. If anything happens, call my na first."

Silvanus answered with full seriousness, while Nana smirked and shot him a teasing look. "Just say that to Silvanus. He’s the only one who gets lost."

Silvanus didn’t react. He really did get lost, so there was nothing to deny.

Nana paused when she saw how unfazed he was. She frowned, sensing that Silvanus had been acting strangely ever since they arrived in Eldoria.

She let out a cold huff and said nothing more.

They walked deeper into the forest, where sunlight filtered gently through the leaves and lit up the path ahead.

Suddenly, a burst of commotion rang out.

Nicole frowned, but contrary to her expectations, the thing approaching wasn’t a raging beast.

A flock of birds of various species and vibrant colors swept in all at once. They circled around the group and began flapping and dancing, letting out clear, lodious calls—heavenly tones, not aningless noise, but a truly beautiful symphony.

Nicole was stunned, and even Nana widened her eyes at the scene. Vivian stood on Silvanus’s shoulder, swaying and dancing nonstop, while Silvanus smiled.

The flock continued guiding them along the shortest path. Even after they had left the forest, the birds kept dancing and singing, wings fluttering as though trying to speak their unspoken farewell.

Nicole placed a hand over her chest, bowed her head slightly, and softly said, "Thank you for guiding us."

Nana instinctively bowed as well, her eyes following the birds as they slowly disappeared behind the trees.

When she lifted her head, she sharply noticed that Silvanus had been watching her the whole ti.

She frowned, ears warming a little, and glared at him.

Silvanus only smiled and said nothing.

Nicole covered her mouth and giggled. She had already returned to her usual floating posture, and with one raised hand gently stroked Nana’s hair. With affection she said, "The power of nature is always wondrous. Even Nana was moved, hmm?"

Nana brushed Nicole’s hand away and replied coldly, "I wasn’t moved. We can continue now, Elder Nicole."

After a night of rest—though that rest certainly didn’t include Silvanus or Vivian—

Vivian lay sprawled over Silvanus’s shoulder, making up for lost sleep.

As for Silvanus, he felt perfectly fine. Youthful energy was a wonderful thing.

Once they had left Eldoria’s borders, Nicole was supposed to start drawing the teleportation array according to plan.

But sothing seed to occur to her. She glanced at Silvanus and Nana, smiling.

Silvanus and Nana: "..."

Both suddenly had a very bad feeling.
