"Does that an you’ve gotten out now, right?"

Silvanus asked.

Hearing that, Nerio shook his head, then nodded again. "You could say that. I’ll always be by your side." As he spoke, he pointed toward Silvanus’s earring.

After a brief pause, he continued, "I think you already know so things about us. You can summon Kirin if you need him, but I can only drift around like this." He smiled. "Unless you truly call for , like you did that day."

Silvanus looked thoughtful and did not say anything.

That was true. The mont he opened the coffin, Silvanus had almost instantly known what he needed to do, as if a missing piece in his mind had finally returned. Even so, when he thought of what lay inside the coffin, he could not help but hesitate for a mont.

"What exactly happened beneath Aqualon? And why was the queen manipulated, as well as everything with the Aetherium Tower?" Silvanus hoped Nerio could explain it all.

Fortunately, Nerio did know about these things.

"In truth, beneath the Aetherium Tower, an Undead mage had always been sealed away. No one knows why the seal was destroyed. Maybe they were too lazy to check the place regularly, or maybe they were too confident. That’s why the Undead mage was able to erode the queen over many years, which eventually led to the uprising."

Most of what Nerio said was vague and general, but at least Silvanus now knew that everything was caused by an Undead mage, an existence that should only have belonged in the Land of Darkness. More importantly, that Undead mage was not dead yet.

It was an existence that the world itself had painstakingly sealed away, which proved it was far from simple. Naturally, it would not be so easy to kill. That much was understandable.

Just then, a knock suddenly sounded at the door. Nerio imdiately turned into light and vanished.

In the room, only Silvanus and Vivian remained.

Silvanus placed Vivian on his shoulder and went to open the door.

The principal was looking for him.

By the ti Silvanus arrived at the principal’s office, Nana and Nicole were already inside.

Clearly, Silvanus had rushed there at the fastest speed the mont he was inford, yet sohow, he always arrived last.

Sure enough, the instant he appeared, Nana shot him a look full of disdain.

Silvanus ignored her and simply greeted Nicole and the principal.

The principal looked toward Vivian on Silvanus’s shoulder and suddenly smiled as he said, "It seems this journey truly allowed you to gain many lessons. All right, co and sit down. We’ll talk a bit about the history of the world. You are heroes who helped protect the continent, and you deserve to know these things."

Nicole, standing to the side, nodded in agreent.

Nana and Silvanus could not help but glance at each other.

World history? It sounded like they were about to learn more about the Undead mage Nerio had ntioned.

Sure enough, the principal spoke next. "Beneath Aqualon’s Aetherium Tower lies the seal of an Undead mage, Lichina, who once wreaked havoc across the Land of Light. Back then, all three races had to join forces to seal her beneath the Aetherium Tower. Everyone thought things would finally settle down, yet after many years, her darkness even eroded the Aqualon royal family. After this failed battle, she has grown weaker still, but even so, she remains a major threat that cannot be underestimated..."

People called her Lichina and instinctively regarded her as an evil woman. In truth, however, Lichina had always appeared in many different forms. Sotis she was a woman, sotis a man, and sotis even a child. As such, Lichina’s true gender had always remained a mystery. Or perhaps she simply had no gender at all. After all, she was an Undead, a skeleton that had never been defined by gender to begin with.

Only one thought remained in Nana’s mind. Even after being sealed and weakened so greatly, Lichina had still been able to break the seal, escape, and even erode the Aqualon royal family.

If the principal was still warning that she was an unpredictable threat even now, then just how powerful must Lichina have been at the height of her strength?

Just imagining it was enough to make one feel awed and terrified.

At this mont, the principal continued, "A warrant for Lichina will soon be issued to the entire populace, with special orders sent to the Hunters. During this period, we will also conduct large-scale searches for darkness across the entirety of the Land of Light. This is not a matter for Humans alone. Darkness must be driven out of the Land of Light forever. We will not allow it any chance to encroach upon the light again. As for you two, Silvanus and Nana, you are the pride of Lumina and of Humanity. You will be comnded at the anniversary ceremony. Undead mages are always adept at curses, especially Lichina. If you feel anything unusual during this ti, you should speak up imdiately so we can find a way to deal with it."

After delivering this long speech, Nana and Nicole finally took their leave.

The mont Silvanus stood up, the principal spoke again. "Silvanus, I heard that you went down into the Azure Depths, the foundation of the Aetherium Tower."

Silvanus paused and nodded honestly. Just as he thought the principal would ask about that naless hero, the principal rely said, "What did you see down there?"

Silvanus hesitated. Before he could speak, the principal continued, "That place is where Lichina was sealed. Any clues found there could be of great help in future battles."

Lichina was clearly a major threat. Even the principal could not hide the worry on his face.

Silvanus looked at him and slowly recounted everything he had experienced beneath the Azure Depths, not leaving out a single detail.

"...I thought there was sothing important inside the coffin, so I opened it. But right after that, a massive wave swept away. The wave raised by that hero carried back to shore. I only managed to glimpse what was inside the coffin. It was a skeleton." After a brief pause, he asked curiously, "Principal, what exactly was that coffin? Was it important?"

The principal shook his head. "The coffin was the vessel used to seal Lichina. By the ti you opened it, the seal had likely already been broken long ago. That skeleton was rely a decoy. You were fortunate not to face Lichina directly. Regardless, you did very well, Silvanus."

The principal continued to encourage him before Silvanus finally took his leave.

Walking down the corridor, Silvanus noticed a group approaching from the opposite direction.

Noble princes and aristocrats walked in formation, clad in elegant and luxurious attire. Beside them were followers of the Church in their easily recognizable robes. At the front was Mira, and right behind her was none other than Sylus.

The two groups passed each other, and not a single person spared Silvanus a glance.

Silvanus simply looked straight ahead and continued walking.
