The mont he transford into an Undead, it was as if a final, solid seal had been shattered. Silvanus rembered everything.

mories from his previous life surged back like a tidal wave, mixing with the mories of this life and plunging his mind into complete chaos. Clearly, he no longer had a brain, yet he still felt as though his head were being violently stirred.

Imdiately after, he fled at the fastest speed he could manage. However, an arrow from afar, carrying overwhelming power of light, almost instantly shattered Silvanus’s soul. Although an Undead would not die on the spot, damage to the soul was not sothing that could be easily restored.

The commotion behind him was clearly earth-shaking, yet it pursued him only sluggishly, leaving him precious ti to escape.

Silvanus turned into a wisp of smoke and vanished from the sight of his pursuers.

As for Nana, she was gravely injured after fighting desperately.

Silvanus hid himself in a poor, unremarkable village, in a secluded corner deep within the forest, where he took form once more.

The pitch-black cloak trailed along the ground, just enough to conceal his unsightly skeletal body. By instinct, he pulled the hood down, hiding the dark energy that continued to seep outward.

Then he raised his hand, and Vivian’s small body imdiately appeared in his palm.

She had her eyes tightly shut, her beautiful silver fur soaked with dried blood. The bones in one of her forelegs looked as though they might fall apart at any mont. Silvanus’s fingertips trembled slightly. At present, he could not even use magic to heal her. Yet recalling what he had read in the opening Chapters of Lichina’s notebook, he began to focus his mind. He saw energy suddenly coil above Vivian, not darkness, but a thick, deep-blue liquid that looked like the most terrifying poison imaginable.

Without the slightest hesitation, Silvanus allowed the liquid to envelop Vivian. In the blink of an eye, her wounds visibly healed at a rapid pace.

Silvanus held his breath. He even forgot that he no longer needed to breathe.

Only when Vivian’s breathing beca steady did the tension weighing on Silvanus’s mind finally ease.

He gently held Vivian in his arms, then suddenly let out a soft groan. A surge of pain gnawed at him from deep within his soul, forcing him to pause.

Exhausted, he leaned back against the hollow of a massive tree and began to sort through his mories.

After the battle with the Outer God, Silvanus had thought he would once again drift into so undefined world, waiting either for the day he awakened or for Raphael to find him.

And clearly, he was here now. Yet he had no idea what Raphael had done. The gods he had once created were also here, and not only that, they possessed separate souls and wills, existing as independent individuals.

Thinking back, up to now he had already encountered three of the four of them.

Back in their previous encounter, at the instant he turned to look at Matthew, Silvanus had almost imdiately sensed a vast surge of opposing energy radiating from him.

It was obvious that Matthew was the incarnation of the Outer God, or perhaps sothing even beyond that. That was also why Silvanus had struck without the slightest hesitation. Yet judging from the expression on Matthew’s face, Matthew did not seem to regard him as an enemy to that extent. It was truly strange.

Still, Silvanus had now confird his objective.

Since he had regained his mories, he could not remain trapped here forever. He still had to return and rebuild the ladder leading back to the God Nation. Who knew how much ti had already passed out there.

To do that, he needed authority over power that could tear space apart and allow free movent.

Silvanus raised his head and looked at the clear blue sky above. Legends spoke of a city in the sky, and that was no re legend.

Ascend the throne, beco a god, and gain the power to return.

But now, his soul...

Silvanus touched his chest. A white-blue fla flickered faintly, as though it might go out at any mont. He had no idea how to restore it.

An Undead mage. What he needed could only be found in the Land of Darkness.

Having made his decision, Silvanus quickly continued on his way.

The streets outside were plastered with wanted notices. Silvanus knew his own face was on them. Beside it was the image of an ugly, terrifying skeleton. Vivian’s image had also been printed on the notices.

Once the little hero upon whom hopes had been placed, Silvanus was now, in the eyes of ordinary people, nothing more than a monster.

He moved through the least populated routes he could find, taking nearly two weeks to reach an area close to the edge of Chaosland.

Yet at this very mont, the number of pursuers suddenly increased. The outer regions of Chaosland were under strict guard, as if those above already knew where Silvanus was headed. Silvanus could even see familiar faces among their ranks.

Knowing that Silvanus was badly injured, they had no intention of letting him leave. Taking advantage of this chance to eliminate him was the best option.

During this ti, Vivian had already awakened. Seeing the situation, she bared her teeth in silent fury. "A bunch of ingrates! You haven’t even hard anyone!"

Silvanus gently pressed down on Vivian’s small head.

He knew that the Land of Light and the Land of Darkness had always been two opposing sides. If a human were to accidentally step into the Land of Darkness, they would be devoured alive.

Right now, he had no choice but to carve out a path of blood to escape. No human truly dared to enter Chaosland. Even if they pursued him, at most they would only dare to chase him along the fog-filled outskirts of Chaosland.

Silvanus quietly assessed the strength he had left and felt that the chances of being captured were very high.

In contrast, Vivian was brimming with confidence. "Just let bite off all their necks!"

She said it loudly, already unable to wait to try. Her two forelegs clung tightly to one of Silvanus’s ribs as she swung back and forth. Yet the light in her eyes did not sparkle as brightly as her words suggested.

She looked at her tail fur, which was growing increasingly faint, and slowly said, "Silvanus..."

"It’s too dangerous, Vivian. You’re strong, but there are too many of them."

Silvanus could only remain hidden, waiting for nightfall to see if there might be an opening to escape.

Seeing how resolute Silvanus was, Vivian said nothing more.

The place where Silvanus hid was a dark, deserted alley. Normally, almost no one passed through it, and even if they did, it was only very rarely.

At that mont, hurried footsteps suddenly rang out. Soone was running this way in a panic, accompanied by desperate cries for help, while mocking laughter echoed relentlessly from behind.

A group of thugs was chasing a girl, seemingly intent on committing so vile act.

The people around them did not know whether they had heard the commotion, or perhaps even if they had, they lacked the courage to step forward. At most, they would run off to find a mage to intervene.

Thinking back to his past, Silvanus had encountered scenes like this far too many tis.

"Bang!"

The girl did not know what she had tripped over, but she suddenly fell hard to the ground.

"Hahaha, running is useless. If you behave, I might even be gentle."

The thugs laughed incessantly. The girl seed to realize that her situation was hopeless. Fear filled her heart, yet she had already given up. After all, there was no way to escape...

Just then, right as a thug’s hand was about to touch her, a figure suddenly lunged down from above.

With a single wave of that person’s hand, the thugs were sent tumbling backward, like dogs falling into water.

The n roared. Realizing that this person was no ordinary individual, they hurled a few curses and quickly fled.

The girl had thought it was all over, never expecting to be rescued in the end. Her eyes, fixed on the figure before her, were filled with reverence.

"Th-thank you so much..."

Silvanus spoke, his voice now extrely hoarse, like grinding sand. "Go ho."

With that, he turned to leave. Seeing her lifesaver about to depart, the girl hurriedly lunged forward, trying to pull Silvanus back.

The corner of Silvanus’s cloak was abruptly yanked backward. He instinctively turned his head, hastily shook the cloak out of the girl’s grasp, and disappeared in a flash.

However, the stark white skull was already deeply etched into the girl’s eyes.

Staring at Silvanus’s retreating figure, she finally let out a delayed scream and fled in a panic.

"That ungrateful woman will definitely report us!"

Vivian growled under her breath.

Silvanus did not think things would turn out that badly. After all, he had just saved the girl. But anything could happen, especially given his current appearance.

Sure enough, it was not long before shouts rang out. Countless beams of light suddenly shone down from the sky, as if searching for soone hiding in the darkness...
