A thunderous shock rang out. Imdiately after, a gigantic figure suddenly appeared, as if it had dropped straight down from midair.
An iron Sentinel, like a knight of light. It swung the greatsword in its hand. It had no eyes, yet Nick could clearly feel that it was staring right at him.
Watching this scene, Silvanus could not help but raise an eyebrow.
Judging by the red rays earlier, there was definitely a three-star Sentinel here. Yet in the end, only a five-star Sentinel appeared. Perhaps the higher-tier Sentinels were under so kind of suppression and could not co out.
The five-star Sentinel glanced at Silvanus, then tilted its head slightly in a rather foolish manner, as if confused by Silvanus's identity. It seed it was not intelligent enough to imdiately tell whether Hobbit blood flowed through Silvanus's veins.

Silvanus frowned. That sli was probably not recognized as blood at all, because the gate showed no reaction whatsoever.
He could not help clenching his fist, his emotions surging.
If he were currently in the form of a Hobbit, everything would surely be much easier.
Just as that thought crossed Silvanus's mind, a sharp pain tore through his bones.
Imdiately after, a faint flash of light appeared.
Nick watched as the Sentinel that had been aggressively striding toward them suddenly halted, even bending down and retreating a step. He could not help but feel surprised. Then he lifted his chin, brimming with joy, and said, "Silvanus, look! It's scared! I barely even moved my limbs, and this thing already backed off. It's nothing but a big, empty shell!"
Nick spoke cheerfully, hopping about nonstop, until he suddenly bumped into sothing.
He gasped in shock, his body wobbling as he fell backward. When he saw sothing on the ground wriggling nonstop, he grew even more terrified. "Silvanus!"
Nick hurried forward and yanked open Silvanus's cloak, imdiately revealing the body Silvanus had been hiding beneath it.
A child only about six or seven years old. Those clear, translucent green eyes and the striking golden hair stood out vividly. From the contours of his face, one could still recognize that this was Silvanus.
But Silvanus… why had Silvanus suddenly shrunk?!

Without the slightest hesitation, Silvanus cut across his own palm. Fresh blood imdiately gushed out, soaking into the strange patterns before them.
A burst of light flared. Before Nick could react to anything, the ground beneath his feet suddenly vanished. In the next instant, his entire body was swept into a violent vortex!
Nick could only clutch Silvanus tightly and scream.
Silvanus covered his ears with both hands, his face utterly expressionless as he watched the rolling darkness envelop them.
They were almost in free fall. Soon after, a sound rang out as if a layer of clouds had been pierced. In the blink of an eye, the sky before Nick's eyes turned into a brilliant brownish-red tinged with pink. Layer after layer of wind tore past their bodies, carrying waves of strange heat. He looked down and could only see that the land below was also a barren brownish-red. The only things that existed were sparse clumps of grass, dirt, and stones, with a few scattered bones visible here and there.
Only by looking far into the distance could they make out faint silhouettes, hoping that those truly were the citadel.
As for the area before them now, it was nothing else, simply a vast, empty wasteland.
Nick held Silvanus tightly. With one hand lowering, the wind imdiately rose to support them, allowing them to land safely.

The citadels all maintain peace on the outside and do not encroach upon one another.
Compared to what humans imagine, the power structure of the Land of Darkness is, in fact, far more peaceful than that of the Land of Light.
