"Thump thump thump!"

The pounding on the door rang out again and again without pause, even starting to grow more forceful.

Perhaps those demons had already caught the scent of the Hobbit.

Silvanus frowned. With a flick of his hand, a tal door instantly appeared, encasing the wooden door without leaving the slightest gap.

The only advantage he had right now was that he might, at the very least, be able to find Asmoday and talk things out. Who knew, maybe he could trade for sothing. But in any case, he definitely could not stay here any longer.

With that thought, Silvanus did not hesitate. He wrapped Nick's cloak around himself, making sure his body was tightly concealed, then climbed out the window. Without a trace of fear, he ran downward. Wherever his feet landed, iron steps rapidly ford beneath them.

He rushed straight outside, sprinting off in the direction Nick had gone earlier.

The people pounding on the door outside were growing impatient. Just as they were about to break in by force, a loud shout ca from behind them, "Boss, he got away!"

The leading demon let out a heavy snort, furious, then imdiately turned and gave chase.

Silvanus's short little legs were truly not an advantage when it ca to escaping. Before long, he could already hear the distant but steadily approaching clamor behind him.

Gritting his teeth, Silvanus dashed straight into a nearby fabric shop.

He hoped Nick might be here.

But before he could find Nick, a figure suddenly appeared, blocking his path.

Silvanus did not have ti to react and crashed straight into them, falling flat on his back.

He staggered back slightly and looked up. What filled his vision was a massive chest barely covered by two thin pieces of cloth, the straps stretched so tight they looked ready to snap.

She even placed a hand between her cleavage, pressing slightly so that everything beca even more pronounced. Her striking violet eyes caught Silvanus's attention.

Who else could it be but Ivy!

"Oh, little guy, you look awfully familiar."

As she spoke, she licked her lips, the tip of her nose twitching as she sniffed around Silvanus. "And you sll really good. You look delicious."

Silvanus quickly retreated a few steps, eyeing Ivy with suspicion. "Ivy, why are you here?"

Ivy was clearly the one responsible for recording the Hunters' files.

Hearing this, Ivy could not help but smile mysteriously. "Everyone has their secrets. Besides, the Ivy you t before was only my puppet. And didn't everyone say you were already dead, Silvanus? So why are you here now, and looking so delicious."

As she spoke, she swallowed, as if she could no longer restrain the urge to eat.

Silvanus frowned. Just as he was about to say sothing, a howl rang out from the distance. Nick suddenly appeared, lunging over with a wind-splitting kick. "What kind of monster are you? Get lost!"

Ivy dodged effortlessly, crossed her arms, and looked at Nick with interest before turning her gaze back to Silvanus. "I really wonder how the two of you ended up together."

"Ivy!" Nick shouted as well. Compared to Silvanus, he was clearly far more familiar with her.

Nick did not know why, but he only felt that the Ivy in front of him seed even more scorching than before, so much so that he did not dare look directly at her and could only peek through his fingers.

Silvanus shot him a glance. Nick imdiately lowered his hands, chuckled, and put on a serious expression.

Silvanus looked at Ivy and said bluntly, "As you can see, I really do sll quite good right now. Those demons outside are chasing . I need a safe place to hide."

Ivy laughed softly. "Are you asking for my help? But the price to pay won't be simple at all."

Nick swallowed instinctively. He wanted to hide behind Silvanus like before, but then rembered that Silvanus was tiny now. So he puffed out his chest and blocked Silvanus, raising his voice. "What's with you? Say what you have to say and stop getting so close. Are you trying to harass a kid?"

Before Nick could finish speaking, Ivy grabbed him by the head and shoved his face straight into her soft chest, rubbing it back and forth.

"Aaaaa!"

Nick scread. When Ivy finally tossed him aside, he clutched his face and cried miserably. "I've been tainted. I've really been tainted. No one will ever want anymore..." but it was so soft... and it slled so nice...

Ivy giggled as she looked at Silvanus. Silvanus said seriously, "Don't do that. You're harassing him."

Ivy burst into laughter. "Why don't we talk about the compensation I'll get if I help the two of you?"

"Go ahead," Silvanus said calmly.

Ivy answered directly, "I want a vial of your blood. Is that acceptable?"

As she spoke, she held out her hand to asure, swaying it slightly. "Just about this much. A test tube."

Nick imdiately snapped back to his senses. He hugged Silvanus and retreated a few steps. "You can take my blood instead. Can't you see how weak and pitiful Silvanus is right now?"

Ivy laughed softly. "What I want is the blood of a Hobbit. Your body reeks of Undead stench. Why do you think I would want your blood?"

Nick was left speechless. At that mont, Silvanus spoke up, "Alright."

Nick instantly lost any chance to argue.

He directly picked Silvanus up. At the sa ti, noise began to rise outside. Ivy smiled, and in the next instant, a massive pair of bat wings suddenly unfurled from behind her back. At each joint, sharp bones jutted out like claws.

She folded her wings forward, gesturing for Silvanus to lie against her back, then took the lead and left. Nick quickly followed after them.

Those demons seed extrely wary of Ivy. Seeing that she was the one who had "captured" Silvanus, they did not dare to chase, only watching resentfully as the group departed.

Nick suddenly understood why his forr underlings knew Ivy was scamming them out of money, yet still insisted on following her everywhere to gain her protection.

They left Asmoday's Citadel without incident. The only regret was that Nick still had not managed to buy any clothes for Silvanus, nor had there been ti for a proper bath. They had spent five gold coins to enter this place, then another fifteen gold coins to rent a room, only to leave in the end without gaining anything at all.

The mont they exited, Ivy took to the air. Nick hurriedly flew up as well and snatched Silvanus back from her arms.

Ivy raised both hands in surrender. "Co on, don't act like I'm ready to eat him at any mont."

Nick sneered. "I think that's very likely."

"Where are we going?" At that mont, Silvanus suddenly spoke up.

Ivy did not bother to hide anything and answered directly. "We're heading to Marax's Citadel. There will never be attacks inside that citadel, and there are plenty of chaotic races there. No one will care whether a child looks tasty or not."

She glanced at Nick again and chuckled. "I think Nick should start worrying about himself instead."

Nick could not help feeling confused. They still did not quite understand the real aning behind Ivy's words.

What they did not know was that the news of Ivy escorting a delicious Hobbit had already reached the ears of Baratos, a gluttonous demon.

Since ancient tis, Hobbits had been believed to enhance the power of evil demons. Baratos had never tasted a Hobbit before, thanks to the domineering Sentinels that protected them. Now that such an opportunity lay right in front of him, he naturally set off without the slightest hesitation. With reports from his subordinates, they quickly managed to track down the trail of Ivy and the others.

Ivy's group had no idea that danger was already closing in on them.

All of a sudden, the already gloomy sky grew even more oppressive.

Nick felt a trace of unease and looked up. In the next instant, he was startled.

Sothing was hovering above them.

It was a huge lump of flesh. Truly so. A massive slab of greasy at, covered in grotesque sores. They did not ooze pus, but ford hole after hole, making one shudder just by looking at them.

Its wings were absurdly small, so small that one could not help wondering how they were even keeping that enormous mass aloft.

Worse still, the lump of flesh actually had a head.

A head far too small for such an enormous, bloated body. Its facial features were distorted and blurred beneath layers of fat.

As if it had noticed their gazes, it suddenly let out a snickering laugh.

Then, as though those tiny wings had finally given out, its entire body plumted from the sky at an unbelievable speed.

Nick's eyes widened as he hastily dodged away at top speed.

But the impact of the falling mass still sent out a shockwave, like a violent gale that swept them off their feet.

At the sa ti, other demons flapped their wings and descended from all directions. There were at least five of them, their gazes fixed on the group like predators eyeing their prey.
