"Did Silvanus say when the next dungeon will appear?"

At the office of the Esper Association Center, Frank looked at Drake and asked.

Drake couldn’t help but scoff, "If he knew everything, he probably would’ve saved the world by himself already, ha."

Frank fell silent. At that mont, Layla said, "We have to send Silvanus’s ssage to everyone on the continent. There’s no longer a place for ordinary people in this world. Right now, even if the so-called ’heroes’ want to, they can’t save them."

"As for the Curtis family’s experint..." Frank suddenly muttered.

Drake imdiately frowned and shot him a sharp, bullet-like glare.

Frank quickly waved his hands, flustered, "No, don’t look at like I’m so criminal! It’s just an idea, just an idea, okay?! We don’t have to experint on people—we can research. After all, humanity needs to beco stronger, right?"

Frank’s proposal wasn’t flawed, but...

"Who do you think can control a world full of espers freely using their powers outside of dungeons? We don’t have that capability yet," Silas said coldly.

Frank furrowed his brows. "Of course, I’ve thought about that too, but we’ll find a solution soon. First, we should start executing this plan. What do you all think?"

Layla rubbed her forehead, the dark circles under her eyes obvious. She sounded tired as she said, "Please, this isn’t a conference room. Talk to Lord Adonis about this. I’m not involved in any of your upper-level politics."

With that, she quickly left, returning to her work.

Frank sighed and could only continue drafting the plan. Because Silas wasn’t wrong—building a system to manage espers was no easy task. Unless they had a powerful esper team under governnt control, top espers like Drake and Silas couldn’t use their powers outside the dungeon. The future still seed so far away...

More than a week passed without any dungeons appearing.

Silvanus sat in the middle of his space, pen in hand, constantly scribbling and sketching.

Without being able to enter a dungeon, he could only keep spending points to maintain the ti flow in the system space.

"I’ve co to realize a harsh truth: if the dungeon wanted to get rid of , all it has to do is not appear. Once I run out of acting points, this world will crush ."

Silvanus seed to be laughing at his fate.

The system quickly said:

[Just a little longer—this won’t happen again.]

Silvanus couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, but before he could ask anything, the system hurriedly added:

[You’ll find out soon enough!]

Ha. Silvanus was confident the system didn’t know anything and did its best to dodge his questions. Useless, as always!

Hearing Silvanus’s thoughts, the system could only curl up in a corner, feeling wronged and crying, wondering why its master always seed to hate it so much.

Silvanus looked at his remaining acting points.

Once wealthy, he only had around 11,000 left—an absurdly small number compared to before leaving the dungeon. The only thing that could sowhat comfort him now was his faith points.

After the evolution process, he still had over 10,000 faith points, and the number was steadily increasing. Perhaps everyone longs to be saved, so they worship gods... but sadly, gods aren’t omnipotent either.

Just as Silvanus was lost in thought, the system suddenly issued a notification:

[My lord, a dungeon has opened! Right in the center of the continental capital!]

Silvanus snapped out of his thoughts and jumped to his feet.

Looking up at the sky above the capital’s center, he saw it covered in dark clouds and thunder. A black rift had torn across the heavens, radiating imnse energy.

The winds howled as if trying to rip the buildings from the ground—an opening act that looked like the coming of the apocalypse.

Even more chilling was the countdown now ticking down—less than an hour remained before the dungeon fully opened!

A governnt alert echoed through every corner of the capital:

[To all citizens of the capital—if you can evacuate, do so imdiately! Do not look at the spatial rift under any circumstances, and prepare for the worst possible scenario! If you are pulled into the dungeon—survive. You are contributing to saving this world.]

"So this is how these dungeons are gonna appear from now on? Out of nowhere like this? I’m gonna go insane!" Drake roared angrily.

Cocona chuckled.

"Maybe we should be thankful it appeared right in the capital’s center—where the strongest espers are gathered, right?"

"Let’s just hope it chooses us and not the ordinary folks out there."

Silas said, "looking out" the window.

From their towering skyscraper, they could see the expressions of the people below—the fear, confusion, and helplessness of the ordinary.

All that could be seen were vehicles cramd together, struggling to move. Even though they knew escaping was nearly impossible, people still tried to flee, clinging to the slimst chance of survival.

But looking at the scene now—it was clear.

No one was going to make it out.

"I don’t want to go into the dungeon, huhuhu... please, choose the espers! There are so many espers here..."

"I still want to live... why is everything getting worse and worse?!"

"Who could evacuate in ti when a dungeon just appears out of nowhere?!"

The air of the capital was filled with the sound of cries and curses against the heavens.

But the mont that had to co... ca all the sa.

[00:00:00]

[Dungeon "Fish" has opened. Humanity, prepare yourselves!]

Simultaneously, countless beams of light shot forth—rushing into the dungeon with unbelievable speed!

Even Leonard hadn’t expected that he would be chosen for the next one just after leaving the previous dungeon.

He looked up through the thick mist surrounding him, then slightly lowered his head, gripping the edge of his uniform nervously—a specially crafted combat suit worn by all espers.

"Austin, you were chosen too?"

At that mont, Alice’s voice rang out.

Only then did Leonard realize that quite a few familiar faces had also been selected.

During this ti, Leonard had been learning about the governnt esper teams.

Although he hadn’t officially been assigned to any team yet, he had morized their nas.

"Captain!"

Suddenly, a girl with golden hair and beautiful blue eyes spoke up, looking a bit panicked.

Her outfit wasn’t a combat uniform but a frilly, elegant Lolita-style dress. With her petite fra, she looked exactly like a living doll.

But Leonard knew better—this adorable girl was one of the top mbers of the Third Vanguard Unit.

Right now, she was running toward her team captain—none other than Cocona.

Cocona stood tall and straight.

The silver armor she wore glowed intensely. Her short silver hair and towering figure—over 1.8 ters tall—made her look like the incarnation of a silver dragon.

And Bella, at her side, clung to her like a princess.

If this weren’t the prelude to entering a dungeon, the scene could have been mistaken for a fairytale.

Cocona gently patted Bella’s head and said,

"All governnt espers, gather up."

Currently, Cocona was the only team captain present.

According to regulations, all other governnt espers had to follow her command within the dungeon, even if they belonged to other teams.

By now, all the governnt espers had arrived:

Team captain Cocona; her direct subordinate Bella; Alice and Austin from Silas’s team; Ron from Drake’s team; and Leonard, who hadn’t yet been assigned a team.

Just then, a calm voice rang out:

"What a coincidence, Captain Cocona. With you here, this dungeon should be much easier."

Everyone turned to look—

It was a tall man with brown hair and serene blue eyes.

Two others stood behind him, all wearing white cloaks. The large whale emblem on their chests made it clear—they were believers of the archangel Raphael.

And the face of the front man was one nearly everyone would recognize.

He was Benjamin, the High Believer of the archangel Raphael—

The one blessed by the angel himself.
