The sound grew closer and closer, and Jessica's group could almost feel the heavy, solid body of the monster crawling across the floor.

Their bodies tensed. John couldn't hold back a painful sob while Stall took a slight step back, cold sweat trickling down his forehead. Jessica clenched her fists, ready for a fight to the death. At this mont, Mason was the calst of them all, as he had no fears to confront.

"Bang!"

Just then, a deafening noise erupted from downstairs. The sheer force of the sound and the accompanying tremor made Jessica feel as if the entire castle was shaking. There was no doubt about it—it had to be Drake!

The monster seed drawn by the overwhelming noise, pausing montarily before twisting its body over the railing and plumting to the first floor. Its sheer weight sent another tremor through the castle. The fact that the structure had yet to collapse was, in itself, a miracle!

For now, Jessica's group was temporarily spared from danger.

anwhile, on the first floor, Fiona stood protectively before Ron. Their bodies were covered in dust and streaked with blood—especially Fiona, who seed utterly drenched in it. So of the blood had already dried into a dark crust. Fortunately, none of it appeared to be hers. It all belonged to the monsters.

Before them, Drake wielded his sword, slashing relentlessly at the swarming creatures lunging at him.

Most monsters were children's size, but their appearances varied wildly. However, they all shared one disturbing trait—few of them had fully ford bodies. Their movents were unnervingly fast, and their attacks were utterly ruthless.

Ron watched as a growing pile of monster corpses ford at Drake's feet. A sense of despair crept into his voice.

"There are too many of them! Where the hell are they coming from?! At this rate, we'll be exhausted to death!"

Fiona furrowed her brows. In truth, they were already beyond exhausted. Only Drake showed no signs of fatigue—if anything, he was becoming more frenzied. With every swing of his sword, his exhilaration grew. His blue eyes were beginning to shift to a deep, blood-red hue.

Monster blood splattered across his face and combined with the manic grin on his lips. He now looked more like a beast in human skin than the two eerie counts they had encountered that morning.

"Letting the captain fight like this isn't a solution—he'll lose himself in the madness!" Ron muttered.

Fiona said nothing. Because at this mont, they had no other choice.

From the mont they stepped onto the first floor, the monsters had sward them in an unending tide, giving them no chance to investigate anything!

["This is the price of arrogance, ha ha ha! They dared to go out on the first night without any leads. No matter how strong Drake is, he's going to die!"]

["I've never liked Drake's smug attitude. If only he had even a fraction of Silas's composure. Finally, the script is setting him up to die."]

["Silas's fans are just as hypocritical as he is. He's acting like he's the best, ha! I wonder who the real arrogant one is here."]

["No! I can't accept Drake dying! Babe, hurry up and get to the kitchen—or at least the dining hall!"]

["Oh my god, if Drake dies, I'm never watching this show again!"]

["The user above has said that way too many tis already... and yet, they're still here."]

A headless monster, far more significant than the others, suddenly lunged at Fiona's group. Before Fiona could react, Drake shot forward and kicked the creature away.

His strike was so powerful that the monster's body slamd into the wall, sending cracks spiderwebbing across its surface. The resounding impact echoed through the castle like it was about to collapse.

Sensing Drake's overwhelming strength, the other monsters began to hesitate—so even started retreating.

But Drake had no intention of letting them go.

From the side, Fiona shouted, "Captain, we need to carve a path out of here!"

Suddenly, Ron yelled, "Watch out!"

Without hesitation, he lunged forward, tackling Fiona to the ground. The two rolled aside just as—

BOOM!

A colossal monster landed with a thunderous crash.

Dozens of gaping mouths all over its body opened simultaneously, unleashing a piercing, ear-splitting roar.

Its countless eyes snapped open, locking onto Drake—the noise source.

Drake narrowed his eyes. He licked a sar of blood off his lips, his expression brimming with excitent.

"Looks like the main course has finally arrived."

The mont he spoke, the creature let out a deafening howl, and countless small arms shot outward with blinding speed, lunging toward Drake's group!

Fiona swung her sword, slicing through the attacking limbs. But in an instant, sothing impossible happened—

The severed arms regenerated almost imdiately and continued their relentless assault!

Fiona hadn't expected this. She twisted her sword through the air, desperately trying to keep up, but the sheer number of attacking limbs quickly overwheld her.

Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind erupted around her, forming a whirlwind that twisted the monster's arms together, buying her a mont to escape.

"Ron, save your strength!" Fiona shouted as she swiftly retreated from the encirclent.

But at that mont—

A piercing scream erupted from the creature.

A blade had been driven deep into its head.

Drake yanked the sword out with brutal force, sending a fountain of blood spraying three ters into the air.

The monster howled in agony, its many eyes swiveling toward Drake in unison.

Then, all its arms surged forward, forming an impenetrable cage that completely engulfed him.

In an instant—Drake was gone.

The monster let out a ghastly, chittering laugh, its voice grating like the call of a predatory bird. Its eyes glead with twisted delight—

It was ready to enjoy its feast.

Suddenly, the countless eyes on the monster's body widened, and it let out a pained howl!

In the blink of an eye, its prison of hands was sliced to pieces!

Drenched in blood, Drake burst out from within, lunging forward to continue his relentless assault. His body was riddled with wounds, yet he seed utterly unfazed by pain. His face was exhilarated, his eyes burning a deep, blood-red.

"Ron!"

Fiona's urgent scream snapped Drake out of his frenzy. He turned to see Ron entangled by one of the monster's grotesquely long arms while Fiona's sword lay shattered at her feet.

For a brief mont, Drake's crimson eyes flickered back to normal.

In a flash, he flipped mid-air, his blade slicing through the monstrous limb that had ensnared Ron.

As he landed, he ripped apart the remaining arms, lunging toward him with his bare hands.

"Run!" he roared.

Ron and Fiona hesitated. They didn't want to leave but knew that staying would only hold Drake back.

"Captain, catch!" Fiona mustered her strength and hurled Drake's sword toward him.

Drake caught it effortlessly with one hand, then returned to the fight.

But at that mont, the monster's attacks abruptly shifted direction.

Instead of targeting Drake, its countless arms now lunged toward Ron and Fiona.

It had figured out what could indeed hinder Drake.

Drake's gaze turned ice-cold. He intensified his assault, but no matter how fast he moved, he couldn't defend himself and protect the others simultaneously.

Was he going to lose control on the first night?

No.

Drake was a seasoned warrior—he knew better than to give in.

But right now...

There was no way out.

His mind raced, but then—

A sudden heat flared from inside his pocket, startling him.

Before he could process what was happening—

Ti froze.

The sounds of battle ceased.

The monster's movents halted.

Everything was suspended.

Drake could still move his eyes, but his body was locked in place like everyone else's.

And then—

The castle vanished.

In its place was a vast, starry expanse, with colossal constellations looming closer than they ever should.

And then—

Reality twisted.

Colors warped and spiraled, entwining in chaotic, unrecognizable shapes—

It felt like they were being pulled through endless portals across ti and space.

And at the final gateway, a figure stood waiting.

He was tall and slender, with long, straight black hair and a white cloth covering his eyes.

He wore a long black cloak that swept the ground, revealing a high-collared black tunic underneath.

The collar and edges of his cloak were embroidered with golden eyes, each staring blankly into nothingness.

But the most striking feature was the pendant on his chest—

A golden eye-shaped gemstone, swirling with a vortex of energy, as if harboring an unfathomable power.

The wind howled, making his cloak and long hair billow wildly. His frail fra looked like it could be carried away at any mont.

He tilted his head toward them—

And then, blood seeped through the white cloth covering his eyes.

It trickled down his cheeks, staining the ground red.

For reasons they couldn't explain—

They felt his pain.

An eerie, chanical voice echoed, shattering the silence:

[Congratulations, humans. You have successfully summoned the weakest god—Prophet.]

...Wait.

The weakest god?!
