Glen, Ryan, Alia, and Jason stood side by side as they stared at the four boys from Windre Magic Academy. Every second felt like an hour as they waited for the match to begin.

Not long after, the referee signalled the start of the match and everyone in both teams instantly moved into place. Both sides had watched each other’s fight before and were aware of each other’s elent and strength.

On the side of the Windre Magic Academy, one of them had the lightning elent and was at the Core mage rank just like Glen, another was an Ice mage, a fire mage, and the last student was a wind mage.

Imdiately after the match started, Alia summoned her vines and sent them forward. In retaliation, the ice mage on the side of the Windre Magic Academy cast "freezing wave" and quickly turned the space in between the two teams into a frozen domain. When the two vines entered the area of the frozen space, their movents imdiately slowed down considerably, and they began to change colour, slowly turning from green to blue, because of the extre cold and visible frost began to form around them.

Shortly after, a portion of the vines were covered in thick layers of ice and could barely move any further.

Alia’s eyebrows curved slightly as she felt her control over her vines becoming distinct. She imdiately tried to withdraw them.

Crack!

But a clear breaking sound was what she heard as the vines broke into multiple frozen parts, starting right at the area that was inside the frozen space.

Alia’s expression didn’t change as she abandoned the two half vines and proceeded to summon another pair. The rest of the team weren’t staying idle either.

Glen had cast ice spikes, which he shot at the other team. Large ice spikes with stunning speed whistled through the air and flew toward the mbers of the Windre Magic Academy.

Although the speed of the ice spikes was fast, the students from Windre Magic Academy were able to react and perfectly dodge them; they even attacked with their own spells.

The lightning mage from Windre Magic Academy cast lightning balls and tossed them at Glen’s ice spikes. It was as if Glen was purposely attacking him and preventing him from forming two star patterns. The mage would suddenly see an ice spike heading for his face whenever he summoned more than ten stars, he found this very frustrating.

Jason and Ryan also attacked with fire and water spells, trying to disrupt the movents of the opponents so that they would be caught by Glen’s ice spikes, but the opponents were just too agile; they were even still sending spells of their own.

Wind blades and fireballs flew through the air and forced Ryan and Jason to move around the arena. It was a heated, entangled white vines and chilling wind dominating the arena.

Ti passed as the two teams continued to clash. Anyone with keen eyes would have already noticed that the students from Windre Magic Academy held the advantage as their movents were sharper and their spell casting was faster. The students from Dragonic Magic Academy were only able to hold their ground thanks to Alia’s vines interfering with the actions of their opponents and Glen preventing the lightning mage from using a core spell.

Glen’s casting speed was the only one that was on par with that of their opponents.

After more than five minutes of struggling, an opportunity finally appeared for the lighting mage. His teammate with the fire elent cast flare in Glen’s direction, forcing him to move before the tongues of flas exploded around him.

Taking this brief mont that Glen was unable to attack, the lightning mage quickly summoned ten purple stars and ford two large star patterns. The destructive aura of the lightning elent imdiately enveloped that part of the arena as oppressive lightning flickered around the surface of the star patterns.

"Lightning charge!" The lightning mage called out and purple energy poured down from the star patterns and entered the body of the lightning mage.

Imdiately after Glen and the others saw this, a single thought appeared in all of their minds.

’Fuck!’

Swoosh!

The next mont, the lightning mage shot out with frightening speed and disappeared from their field of vision.

He was like a streak of purple light that flashed across the arena, his first target just happened to be Alia.

Even the lightning mage had to admit that her vines were annoying, so she had to go.

Alia’s eyes flashed imdiately after seeing the purple lightning approaching her at such a fast speed. She hastily controlled her vines in an attempt to stop or slow down the purple light, but it was just too fast. The purple light dodged the vines with shocking agility before arriving in front of Alia.

With her eyes wide open, Alia was now able to see the figure of the lightning mage. His eyes glowed with purple light and his body was coated with lightning that constantly flickered around his body.

Stopping in front of Alia, the lightning mage sent out a punch at her stomach, his speed too much for her to react to.

BAM!

His fist ruthlessly slamd into Alie’s stomach like a powered train. A wave of pain instantly travelled through Alia’s entire being and her vision darkened for a mont, her body arched forward after taking the punch as her feet rose off the ground.

Woosh!

She flew away like a broken kite and was about to crash into the barrier around the arena when one of the referees appeared behind her and caught her. The force at which her body was flying pushed the referee after he caught her and his foot slid across the floor of the arena.

After coming to a stop, the referee looked down at Alia in his arms and was about to ask if she was all right only to find out that she was unconscious.

Alia had passed out from the punch!

The match didn’t stop just because of this. After moving away from the explosions, Glen saw what happened to Alia and imdiately summoned two ice shackles that attacked the wind mage and fire mage from Windre Magic Academy.

The two tried to attack the ice chains, but they were like fish in water as they avoided their spells and lashed at the two, wrapping around them and lifting them off the ground.

The thorns on the ice shackles stabbed through skin while bone-chilling air enveloped them. After making them suffer for a bit, Glen used the ice shackles to throw them away and the referee caught them.

anwhile, the lightning mage went after Jason and Ryan. He knocked the two of them out consecutively with one punch each to the guts. At the sa ti, Glen went for their ice mage.

It was as if they were trying to take out as many as possible from the other team before ganging up on the strongest mbers, but it turned out that the two of them were just as fast as the other.

By the ti they were done with each other’s team, only the two of them were left in the arena.

Glen and the lightning mage stood opposite each other with serious expressions, and the entire stadium was silent as they watched the two in the arena.

A short mont of silence reigned in the arena for so ti, and the two of them took action and summoned their stars. Twenty stars, four star patterns, two pale blue star patterns that released chilling wind and two purple star patterns that gave off an oppressive and destructive pressure.

The casting speed of the two was evenly matched, and they called out their spells at the sa ti.

"Ice shackles!"

"Lightning strike!"

Two large ice chains with thorns flew out from the two pale blue star patterns and shot toward the lightning mage on the other side of the arena.

At the sa ti, a thin thread of violent purple lightning shot out from the two purple star patterns that layered together.

BOOM!

The thin lightning thread and one of the ice chains collided in the center of the two boys almost instantly after they appeared.

The two spells caused a loud explosive sound as a powerful cold shockwave spread out. After destroying the Ice shackle, the lightning thread continued toward Glen.

anwhile, the second ice chain flew toward the lightning mage without slowing down.

Bang!

Brtzz!

The ice chain ruthlessly smashed into the lightning mage and at the sa ti, the thin lightning thread struck Glen.

Both students were blown away and crashed into the ground after getting hit by each other’s spells. The spectators drew sharp breaths when they saw this, both students were now lying on the ground. For so ti, none of them moved and it looked like they had both knocked each other out.

After waiting for a minute, the two referees moved in to check the conditions of the two students. But at this mont, the body of the lightning mage shook and he slowly stood up.

Seeing a student of their academy stand up, the others in the sitting area of the Windre Magic Academy erupted in cheers, which soon spread throughout the stadium.

The Windre Magic Academy had won!
