Alex didn’t stop there, he made Alicia promise to listen to everything that he tells her to do from now on and not to cause chaos in the City when he wasn’t around.
Alicia felt it was strange, but still promised to do as Alex had said. Another series of lightning blasts rang out after she promised.
After everything was done, Alex ended the spell, and the giant lightning orb around the two of them slowly dissipated, leaving two small wisps of lightning that vanished into their bodies, sealing the oath.
Alicia looked at herself, and she didn’t feel any different after the wisp of lightning entered her body; it was as if she had seen an illusion.
After ending the spell, all the lightning around them vanished and the place returned to normal.
It was finally ti to return to the city, but Alex wanted to test out sothing before they returned. He turned to Alicia and said.
"Transform to your windrend form."
Alicia "..."
Seriously, this again? She still didn’t trust Alex enough and wasn’t willing to transform back yet. What if everything he had done up till now was just to get her to transform so that he could attack her?
Humans were that despicable and untrustworthy.
"I still don’t have enough energy to transform," Alicia said softly while looking away, she was afraid that she would expose herself if she looked at Alex’s face.
However, the next mont after she said that she didn’t have enough energy to transform, a sharp pain wracked through her mana core.
It was as if a bolt of lightning had struck her soul.
"Kyaaaa!" Alicia’s body fell forward uncontrollably as she let out an agonised scream, her face twisted in extre pain.
"Stop, please! I’ll change, I’ll change!" She looked at Alex with watery eyes and shouted while clutching her chest, the pain was so much that her vision had even been affected.
Too cruel, this person is so handso yet so cruel!
Alex stared at Alicia on the ground with an expressionless gaze but was inwardly pleased with the effect. This was only a small punishnt for disobedience and lying, yet she was already at a breaking point; the punishnt would definitely be more unbearable if she did sothing worse.
"That wasn’t , it’s the effect of disobeying the oath of lightning. You promised to listen and do whatever I asked you to do, yet you claid to be unable to transform. That was a little punishnt," Alex explained calmly.
Alicia "..."
’So he didn’t attack and that was because of the promise I made? What sort of sorcery is this?’
Alicia now understood why she felt strange earlier, she had really placed a knife on her own neck.
After staying on the ground for more than five minutes, the pain in her core gradually reduced and her body was finally able to function properly. She got up from the ground and looked at Alex with a newfound fear, that oath of lightning was a trap!
Didn’t this an she would have to do whatever he requested of her if she didn’t want to be tornted by pain? She didn’t even dare to imagine what it would feel like if she did sothing worse.
What if he asked him to do sothing indecent one day?
’No, he probably won’t. He said it himself that he didn’t want to form a relationship with a beast, my innocence should be safe.’ Alicia comforted herself as she proceeded to transform into her bird form.
A gigantic black bird that was as huge as a mountain and had winds that were kilotres long appeared in front of Alex. Compared to Alicia’s bird form, Alex looked like a little toy beside a building.
Without saying anything, he leapt into the air and landed on Alicia’s back.
"Hmm, the feathers here are surprisingly soft and comfortable to rest on." Alex voiced out as he touched the feathers on Alicia’s back. The rest of her feathers were harder than steel so it ca as a surprise to him to feel this softness.
Alicia replied, explaining that she could change the texture of her feathers at will. She was afraid of experiencing another pain if Alex was dissatisfied while riding her.
"Oh, that’s good," Alex responded as he lay on his back and faced the evening sky. He then told Alicia to fly in the direction of Balon City.
He didn’t want to use the system’s skill to travel with Alicia, and his normal speed with just Blink wouldn’t be fast enough since they were quite far away; riding on Alicia’s back was the best option.
Alicia didn’t complain and flew in the direction of Balon City, her speed was extrely fast yet she didn’t produce a single sound as she flew. They covered hundreds of kilotres with a single flap of her wings.
Alex remained on her back with his head resting on his hands, unaffected by the speed at which Alicia was flying.
’So this is what it feels like to ride a flying mount, it’s a nice feeling.’ he thought to himself as he reminded Alicia to inform him once they got close to Balon city.
On their way back, they flew past a magic shuttle that was carrying 3 people and was driving in the direction of Balon City as well.
But since Alicia was flying very high in the sky and her speed was almost breaking the sound barrier, the three only felt that sothing had passed them but were not sure if it was just a feeling.
"Did sothing just pass us?" Clint looked up and then around them as the magic shuttle continued forward.
"I could have sworn that I felt a shadow breeze past us, could it have been an imagination?" William mumbled in confusion.
"The three of us couldn’t have been imagining at the sa ti, let’s look around first." The Archmage voiced out and the magic shuttle changed direction.
anwhile, Alicia had flown thousands of kilotres away from their location and was only a few hundred ters away from Balon City.
She inford Alex, and he told her to stop imdiately. He then jumped down and ordered her to transform into her human form.
Alex then put his mask back on before they continued to Balon City together. Alex realised that Alicia could still fly even in her human form, and her speed was still very fast.
This was good in his opinion, and the two of them entered Balon City without being noticed by the Union officers at the borders.
Along the way, Alex had been thinking of what he should do with Alicia after they reached the city.
He thought of getting her a place in Balon City, but he would need to use his Mr Chen identity to make the purchase, and that would then bring attention to Alicia if people learned that she was related to him.
Although it wouldn’t affect him personally or Alicia since she was a powerful magic beast, it would definitely beco a problem if people started seeing her around his family.
Therefore, Alex had decided to take her ho! As for what explanation he would give his parents, he had already thought of that.
But first, he had to visit the Union building.
