After saying that to the kid, Alex turned to look at Owen who was standing to the right of one of the black robed n.
"To think a mber of the Dark Union had been hiding within the Union this whole ti, it’s no wonder the case of missing children took forever to resolve.
I wonder how Clint would feel to know this. Hmm, at this point, I’m not even sure if you’re the only one hiding under the nose of the Union." Alex said expressionlessly.
Since a mber of the Dark Union was able to work his way to beco an elder of a Union branch, it was very likely that there were more of them hiding there as well. He decided to do a thorough check of the Union branch in Balon City once he returned.
As for Owen and these people, he would take care of them right now.
After hearing Mr Chen’s words, the kid burst out with a pearl of laughter.
"Mr Chen, don’t make believe you’re an ignorant fool with no knowledge of the world. The Dark Union has existed for hundreds of years and is just as old as the Union, it’s only natural that we have mbers in the Union to put them in order and avoid our plans from being ruined.
You think Owen is the only one, now laughable. Anyways, you’ll be dead soon, so what use is this information to you?"

’Ok, ouch? That stung a bit to be called ignorant since he really didn’t have any knowledge of the world but was the fool necessary?’
Before Alex could say anything else, the ground under him exploded with red ominous light that quickly spread and covered a radius of over five hundred ters, swallowing the kid and mbers of the Dark Union as well.
Alex looked around him with narrowed eyes. Under the effect of the approaching evening, the red light appeared like a gate of hell had been opened and an abomination was about to crawl out.
’What is this?’ Alex was curious but he didn’t need to wait long for an answer.
"Behold, Mr Chen, the wonder of a grade five hollow formation with the Lightning Elent attribute. It took even soone with my authority a long ti to prepare it, just for you.
I originally thought that you were an Archmage after clashing with you the last ti, but after what you did with the cracks, I had to question why you allowed us to leave back then. You are definitely stronger than an Archmage, you have to be at least a Saint to be able to contain two cracks!
It might be due to arrogance or stupidity to allow us to escape the last ti but this will be your downfall. There are only so many Saint rank mages in the world and there is a reason why they haven’t tried to take over the world yet, it’s because they aren’t completely invincible!
I don’t know where a naless Saint mage like you appeared from but you’ll be a fine collection to my contribution in the Dark Union. This hollow will be your grave. As you Saint, you won’t be able to use any lightning spell inside this formation; let’s see how you defend yourself against us!" The kid held his lollipop high and laughed like a victorious villain.
Alex was left speechless again. Why was this kid so abusive? For goodness sake, he wasn’t a Saint yet when they last fought!
But Alex had no intention of explaining this to them, he looked at the formation around him instead and activated the ability of his mask, information about the formation imdiately popped up.

After reading the information, Alex found more details than what the kid had said. The formation actually reduced his strength as well!
Alex had felt this as well but thought it was just a guy feeling but after reading the information from the all-knowing mask, he realized that it was the effect of the formation.
In this state, his movent speed and physical strength would be lower than that of an Archmage! If he really had to fight these people under these circumstances, he would definitely die.
However, Alex didn’t panic because he still had another thod of changing the situation.
His space elent!
’ Good thing they don’t know about my space elent, it would be troubleso if they set up a second format with the space elent affinity.’ Alex thought to himself before returning his focus to the people at the top of the hill.
"I see you really made so much preparations, sadly, this isn’t enough." He said softly.
"Still acting arrogant even in such a situation? I don’t know if you have an ego problem or just stupid, let see how you’ll still remain calm when you face death!" The Archmage scoffed. Right after which he ordered the people around him to attack Alex.
Since they believed that he would no longer be able to use any spells and his strength had been halved, they had no reason to fear him anymore. Several mages summoned stars of different elents while the dark beasts all charged at Alex, their abnormal long hairy arms stretching towards him.
The evening sky lit up with the brilliance of different colours as spells of different elents flew toward Mr Chen who was standing in the middle of the formation.
But before any of them could reach him, Alex’s eye released an intense white light that glowed through his mask. The next mont, silver white stars appeared in quick successions and filled the sky. At the sa ti, they ford star patterns that then ford into star constellations before finally forming into a gigantic star nebula that looked like a galaxy in the air.
"Space vortexes," Alex mumbled silently.
Space around him instantly raptured and twisted out of reality as six vortexes that looked like gateways to an endless abyss ford around Alex.
The vortexes released powerful suction forces that sucked in all of the spells and dark beasts that had attacked Alex.
In less than a second after the mbers of the Dark Union tried to attack Alex, the space was cleared off of all the spells that they had cast and the dark beasts had been sucked into the vortexes as well.
Everyone "...."
They all stood petrified as they stared at Mr Chen and the six vortexes that were spinning around him. Everything had happened so fast that even the kid was unable to process what was happening. He had so many questions in his mind right now that he felt like his brain was about to shut down from overheating.
Wasn’t Mr Chen a lightning mage?
Isn’t the lightning mage purple in colour? Those stars were definitely silver white, they belonged to the space elent!
Is Mr Chen a space mage or a lightning mage?
There were hundreds of stars, how did he connect them so fast?
What was that spell? Those vortexes that swallowed everything, what are they?
All of them were shocked stupid by Mr Chen’s sudden action that they couldn’t react for the next few seconds. Owen stood in the corner with mouth and eyes wide open.
He had known all Mr Chen the longest amongst everyone present, he could swear with his life that Mr Chen was a lightning mage which was why they had prepared a lightning elent affinity formation.
Why was he suddenly using a different elent now?
Not waiting for them to co back to their senses, Alex opened his mouth and spoke; the vortexes spun around while he spoke.
"As I said, I’m not the one who’s dying today. And another secret, I don’t just have the lightning elent."
Alex didn’t finish his words before the six vortexes spat out the spells that they had swallowed, all the spells had received an upgrade and were more powerful than their originals.
Several spells shot toward the top of the hill.
Boom!
The spells crashed into the hill top and exploded, sending chunks of earth flying in the air and causing a burst of flas with smoke.
Alex didn’t receive any exp but was sure that he had killed a good number of the people on top of the hill, he could still sense the presence of so of them.
"Quick, use the teleportation spell book!"
Alex heard the panicking voice of the kid from behind the smoke screen.
He disappeared the next mont and appeared beside them, he saw Owen take out a spell book with silver white stars on it.
Alex’s hand moved and he snatched the spell book.
Alex had forgotten that the vortexes would follow him anywhere he went. So when he appeared in the middle of the remaining mbers of the Dark Union, the vortexes sucked them in. Including the child Archmage in the red robe.
