Alex quickly finished with the other three; they were now certain that nobody amongst the five of them was part of the Dark Union like Owen.
As for Mr Chen, no one dared to bring up the matter of checking Mr Chen as well. Who would dare to? Besides, if Mr Chen were a part of the Dark Union, would he go as far as ruining all the plans of the Dark Union, saving the city, and helping them capture their mbers?
Balon City would be dood if Mr Chen were a part of the Dark Union!
After he was done here, Alex left the checking of the other mbers of the Union to the five of them while he returned ho.
Clint and the others waved him goodbye, the Union branch would begin arresting those whose nas had been ntioned by Mr Chen after they were done sweeping the ants under their noses first.
Alex got ho so ti later and was imdiately t by his mother, who asked him where he was coming from and why he wasn’t picking up his calls.
Alex lied that he had been delayed because of a mission, and his phone was on silent, so he didn’t see her calls.
Freda had no other choice but to accept Alex’s explanation, but still gave him an earful on staying out late; he should be coming ho earlier.
Alex wasn’t annoyed by her nagging and was smiling instead, this was a constant reminder that his mother cared for him.
When he saw Emily, Alex was stunned to see the girl glaring at him with her cheeks puffed; she was clearly angry at him.
But why? He didn’t do anything!
Not long after, Alex soon found out why. Freda basically prevented anyone from eating dinner until he ca back or returned her calls, and the entire family had been forced to starve because of him.
Alex "..."
Sorry.
........
Very...very far away from Balon City.
A group of n and won sat on the highest floor of a green pagoda, their numbers totalled eleven people. Eight won and three n.
All of them were dressed in red robes similar to the kid Archmage whom Alex had killed, and they released impressive auras.
All of them were at or above the Archmage rank!
The floor of the pagoda that they were in was shrouded in a thick fog of mana which they absorbed into their bodies while sitting down in ditative positions.
"Hell fairy, this magic item of yours is indeed extraordinary; the mana here can speed up our strength many tis." One of the n opened his eyes and said in amazent.
"Hehe, I got it from the 3rd continent. It was the possession of a Sage who didn’t know his place. I promised to help him take care of it before killing him." The woman who was referred to as Hell fairy replied with a laugh.
Everyone else laughed.
At this mont, another figure entered the floor. It was a huge man in a red robe as well.
"Eternal youth is dead." The man announced right after entering the floor of the pagoda.
The eleven people who were already on the floor of the pagoda didn’t show much reaction to the news.
"Eh, how’s it?" Soone asked casually.
"I got news that his imprint has disappeared from the main hall." The huge man stated.
"Oh well, I guess another selection for a red robe will be issued soon, I have a few worthy candidates amongst my subordinates."
"Oh shut up, your subordinates are all unrefined. Mine are better."
The eleven people imdiately began to argue jokingly.
"Where did he die though?" Soone suddenly asked and everyone else fell silent.
"I heard that he was dealing with a certain Mr Chen in a small city around the western region, could that be him?" So said after a while.
"Hmm, that na sounds like soone from the 3rd continent and not ours. Hell fairy, what do you think?" Another person asked and everyone’s eyes imdiately turned to the woman who owned the pagoda.
"How would I know? It could very likely be that a nosey mage has entered our continent from the 3rd continent, we just have to take care of them before they cause any trouble." Hell fairy said while shrugging.
"But to be able to kill Eternal Youth, this Mr Chen isn’t going to be easy."
"Indeed. Although I hate to admit it, even my survival skills aren’t a match for Eternal Youth. That old man is a cockroach!"
"Hmm, let’s wait for now. We will wait for more news and won’t take action yet." the huge man who had announced the death of Eternal Youth said.
"Do you think we should inform the Saint?" One of them asked.
"No need. Eternal Youth was just incompetent and arrogant, we won’t make the sa mistake."
.....
A week went by in a flash. During the week, Balon City was very busy and news was flying everywhere.
The Balon City Union branch went on a PURGE throughout the city, a movent that was personally led by the branch leader who was a Master rank mage.
The purge had begun from the Union branch itself. Staff, Union officers, and Union explorers were all called back to be checked.
Many people were caught with tattoos and imdiately arrested, but all of these people were people whose nas were ntioned; it seems like Owen had been honest.
After dealing with the foundation of the problem, Clint and his branch mbers swept into Balon City and began arresting those whose nas were ntioned to them.
They didn’t imdiately lock them up after arresting them, they would first check them for tattoos to make sure it was accurate.
During this ti, the borders and routes they led out of Balon City were tightly secured and guarded 24/7 to prevent anyone from escaping.
So people had actually tried to escape and were quickly caught by those guarding the routes.
Clint had already made a request to the Union Core Centre in the capital, and they would send people to bring the mbers of the Dark Union away for punishnt.
Although Alex preferred directly killing them, he didn’t interfere and allowed the Union to do their thing while he focused on farming exp points for his spell.
After taking care of the people whose nas were ntioned, Clint proceeded with his check on everyone in Balon City!
This was how serious the matter of the Dark Union was; they were parasites that needed to be removed at all costs.
Everyone in Balon City was checked! Even Alex and his family were not exempted. The city was in a heated state for so ti.
Ti went by quickly again and a few months had passed.
Alex stood in a clearing, behind him was a gigantic mountain that almost pierced the sky while in front of him was an endless expanse of yellow sand.
The area that the sand covered was several tis larger than the whole of Balon City. In fact, Alex was certain that ten Balon City would fit into this space.
However, that wasn’t what was on Alex’s mind right now as he looked at his system profile.
