Now reading: Chapter 246: The pagoda from Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors, a Fantasy novel by VeeHigh.

Later that evening, Alex and Alicia could be seen standing on the roof of the mansion. Alex gazed into the distance, his face calm, as he observed this part of Balon City.

Alicia stood quietly behind him, waiting for her chance to speak.

"Tell more about the Sage mage that you talked about," Alex muttered after so ti.

Alicia started to speak, she told Alex what the woman looked like that day and how she felt after seeing the other party. Most importantly, it was a face that Alicia hadn’t seen in the city before.

"I see," Alex replied shortly before telling Alicia that she could go back into the house.

Now left alone on the roof, Alex closed his eyes and released his senses. His senses as a Saint rank mage easily covered the entire Balon City as Alex felt the aura of everything within the city.

The next second, Alex’s senses locked into a few auras that definitely weren’t supposed to be in a small place like Balon City.

"Two Sage rank mages and a Grand Archmage," Alex mumbled under his breath as he opened his eyes.

With such strength, they could easily raze Balon City to the ground within a few hours; that’s it they had a reason to.

The fact that they didn’t cause any trouble yet might be because they weren’t bad people or didn’t want to destroy the city yet.

Either way, Alex was going to check out the situation; he couldn’t risk the chance of his family getting hard.

With a thought, the all-knowing mask appeared on Alex’s face and the indestructible robe covered his body.

’Void gate,’ Alex activated the skill of the system with his thought.

His point of view changed to a bird-like view, he was now gazing at the entire Balon City from above. Alex proceeded to select the location for the second Void gate. The location he chose was the Union branch building.

After picking the location, his point of view returned to normal and a crack that led to the white space was already in front of him.

.....

Seconds later.

Clint could be seen sitting in his office and sorting so files. At this mont, a familiar croaked voice sounded from a corner of the office.

"It’s been a while, branch leader Clint."

Clint’s eyes widened slightly after hearing this voice. His head snapped up swiftly as he looked at the masked figure that had suddenly appeared inside his office.

"Mr Chen!" Clint called out while standing up, a look of pleasant surprise forming on his face while a smile stretched his lips.

"Please, co take a seat. What brings you here?" Clint asked as he offered Mr Chen the seat opposite him.

"That won’t be necessary. I just stopped by and will be leaving soon, I have other things to attend to." Alex replied calmly.

Clint was a bit disappointed after hearing this but was still touched. He hadn’t seen Mr Chen for months, it was very thoughtful of him to stop by.

"I understand, an expert like yourself must have a lot of important things to take care of, I won’t hold you back," Clint replied.

"Although I have sothing to ask you, Branch Leader Clint," Alex added.

A helpless smile ford on Clint’s face, he wasn’t surprised that Mr Chen had sothing he wanted to ask.

Soone like Mr Chen obviously won’t just stop by to check up on him.

"Please ask, what is it?" Clint replied.

"Are you aware of the Sage mage residing in the city?" Alex questioned.

Clint "..."

A look of surprise appeared on his face upon hearing Mr Chen’s question, and he didn’t respond for so ti. It took him so seconds to co back to his senses.

Bam!

Clint slamd his palms on his desk as he stood up with one swift motion.

"What? There’s a Sage rank mage in Balon City?!" Clint asked, almost shouting.

’Hmm, he doesn’t know?’ Alex thought to himself. He previously had thought that the new presence might be mbers of the Union who were here on so missions.

If that were the case, Clint would have been inford. Sing Clint didn’t know anything about them, then...

"It’s all right, you don’t have to worry about it," Alex said to Clint before disappearing.

Clint stared at the place where Mr Chen had been standing just monts ago, still in shock that a powerful mage had been residing in their City without his knowledge.

After he had remained standing for so more seconds, he dropped into his seat. Since Mr Chen had told him not to worry about it, he would leave the matter to Mr Chen.

After all, he trusted the man because he had been helping Balon City for a long ti.

Besides, Clint wasn’t strong enough to handle a matter concerning a Sage rank mage.

anwhile, after leaving the Union branch building, Alex went to the corner of Balon City with very few old houses.

It was the outskirts where his old ho was located. At the very back of the outskirts was the ruins where the battle had taken place when the mbers of the dark union had opened a crack above Balon City.

Although the Union branch had worked hard to clean up the place, the collapsed buildings weren’t rebuilt, and no one ca to live here again due to fear of another beast outbreak happening.

In the center of the ruins stood a tall pagoda with several floors.

Alex stood on top of a tall building that had half of it missing and stared at the pagoda from a distance. He didn’t approach imdiately after sensing sothing.

This pagoda was a magic item, a grade five magic item!

While Alex was contemplating how he should approach the situation, he felt soone’s mage sense sweep past him.

It belonged to the Sage mage that Alex had sensed earlier.

"Mr Chen, it’s good to finally et you." A soft female voice sounded from within the pagoda.

Alex knew that his Mr Chen identity was already more popular than he could imagine, so he didn’t ask how the other party had recognised him; he went straight to the point instead.

"Who are you, and why have you co to Balon City?" He asked.

Instead of responding, a figure appeared above the pagoda. It was the woman that Alicia had told Alex about, Alex could tell because she fitted the description perfectly.

"You can call Hell fairy. As for why I have co to Balon City, of course, it’s to et you." The woman said with a small smile.

At this mont, Alex got a notification that soone was trying to scan his rank, but had been blocked by the system.

A look of surprise appeared on the woman’s face after she was unable to see through Mr Chen, she had picked up the aura of a Core mage rank instead.

’A detection blocking magic device?’ Hell fairly thought to herself. She couldn’t be sure how to act if she couldn’t determine Mr Chen’s true strength.

"Why are you looking for ?" Alex asked, ignoring the woman’s attempt to probe him.

"You see, you killed a colleague of ours; we have simply co to offer you two options.

Join us or die." She started with a wild smile on her face.

Right after her voice fell, the other two people inside the pagoda ca out and stood next to her.
