Honestly, Alex didn’t want to continue fighting the spider lord. The other party was just too dangerous for his taste.
He admits that he was originally excited to fight a Calamity rank beast, but he wasn’t reckless enough to want to fight a creature he couldn’t even see clearly.
Right now, Alex was only able to keep the spider lord at a distance by sending his sword fragnts after the other party’s afterimages and where he thought he would head to next; this was why the spider lord hadn’t been able to approach Alex, but how long would this continue to play before the other party finally figured him out?
Also, he could sense that the battle between the mages and the army of spiders was almost coming to an end. Lucas and the other Saints would definitely rush over to try and help him.
With how fast the spider lord was, not only would they be in danger if they ca here, but Alex’s secret would also be revealed if they saw him using the space elent.
He could still do sothing about it if all that they did was feel the space elent, they didn’t have proof that he was the one who used it.
But it would be a different story if they saw him. So Alex hoped to end this battle before any of that happened.
Boom!
The spider lord blasted away several sword fragnts again with his strange attack and suddenly dropped down from the sky, he landed on the snow with a powerful impact.
Bam!
The ground trembled as a cloud of snow rose into the air, completely blocking Alex’s vision. He could still sense the aura of the spider lord but he couldn’t pin down the other party’s location as he was moving just too fast.
’What is he doing?’ Alex thought to himself, feeling cautious.
He controlled so of the sword fragnts to return to his side while he sent the rest into the snowstorm that the spider lord was creating by running around at full speed.
Alex controlled the sword fragnts to attack the aura of the spider lord once he sensed him, but the other party would have been long gone before the sword fragnts arrived.
Even though he had finally escaped the constant pursuit of Alex’s sword fragnts, the spider lord didn’t charge at him right away and continued to run on the snow, kicking up more snow clouds to create a thick coverage while gradually approaching Alex.
Alex had also noticed that the snowstorm was getting closer, and he couldn’t see anything beyond two hundred ters ahead of him anymore.
[Ding! Crafting complete!]
While all of his attention was placed on the snow clouds in front of him, Alex suddenly received a notification from the system that his spell was ready.
A wave of excitent rushed through Alex’s body upon receiving this notification but at the sa ti, figures flew out of the snow clouds like missiles towards him.
The sight of the figures made Alex’s heart skip a beat as he didn’t expect it, he panicked but was smart enough to blink away.
It was actually more of an instinctual action, Alex blinked and appeared several hundred ters away from his previous position.
Just after appearing, a loud explosive sound rang out from his earlier location.
He looked and saw the spider lord standing there and a clear snowless part of a hundred ters had ford on the ground.
As for the figures that had shot towards Alex earlier, it turned out that the spider lord had hurled the corpses of so of the spider Generals that Alex had killed earlier at him as a diversion while he approached from a different position.
Honestly, if Alex hadn’t reacted fast enough, he might have died from that move or gotten seriously injured at least!
"You’re fast," the spider lord said as he stared at Alex, throwing the falling snow. He honestly didn’t expect the human to react in such a way.
He thought that Alex would have attacked those corpses with his annoying sword pieces, giving him the chance to land a clean hit.
But the human had chosen to retreat instead, which impressed even the spider lord, despite them being enemies.
Alex didn’t reply to the complint, his face regained a calm expression under his mask.
Now that he had successfully finished crafting his spell, Alex regained so confidence and was ready to face the spider lord head-on.
Actually, he just wanted to make sure that the other party couldn’t retreat when he used the spell.
After all, the ultimate lightning prison only had a range of five hundred ters.
"Now I’m done warming up, ti to get rid of you," Alex said confidently as he placed both arms behind his back and stood straight like an arrow in the snow.
He silently summoned the magic item he had collected from the university’s treasure vault as his first reward, the sky boots!
Alex had totally forgotten about this magic item previously but now that he needed sothing to help him compete in speed with this beast at close range, he rembered that he had a grade five lightning treasure that was created with the soul of another Calamity rank beast!
The sky boots were able to completely enhance the movent speed of their wearer, the effect would even be better if they had the lightning elent.
With this, Alex should be able to get close enough and cast the ultimate lightning prison without being in danger!
After hearing Alex’s arrogant words, the three eyes of the spider lord narrowed in suspicion.
He knew that this human was nowhere as fast as himself, the gap between their speed was obvious after clashing for several minutes, so where did this sudden confidence co from?
’What is this human planning?’ the spider lord thought, trying to think of a possibility where Alex could match up to his speed but he couldn’t think of any.
He believed he had seen everything that this human could do, including his weird movent abilities that felt like he was teleporting.
After these thoughts, the spider lord ca to a conclusion.
This human was bluffing!
Just to be on the safe side, he decided to launch a sudden attack and kill Alex before he could carry out whatever plan that made him suddenly beco confident.
Swoosh!
The spider lord vanished into the snow, leaving afterimages behind him.
This ti, Alex didn’t panic and a smirk ford on the side of his lips instead.
He could now see the other party’s movents!
After equipping the sky boots, not only did Alex’s movent speed increase, but his eye movents and thinking process also increased!
Swoosh!
The spider lord arrived in front of Alex and laughed one of his hands at Alex’s face while gathering energy.
"You’re dead," he said with a casual tone.
Boom!
It launched the sa strange attack again but instead of blood and flesh exploding into the distance, another clear space ford for a hundred ters behind Alex.
The spider lord was shocked by this. He realised that Alex had tilted his head at the last mont, and the attack had gone past his shoulder.
Spider lord "..."
’How did he beco so fast?!’
"My turn,"
Alex didn’t give the spider lord any ti to react and grabbed his wrist in a firm grip as his eyes blazed with black lightning.
Thousands of black stars appeared at once and ford a hundred star Links in the blink of an eye.
’Ultimate lightning prison!’
