In the skies above Crestholm, the oppressive atmosphere almost solidified.
In the space rift stretching across the horizon, the demonic qi swirled more violently.
The demonic qi spread like ink, dyeing the entire sky into an ominous darkness.
The entire city of Draconia was shrouded under this suffocating pressure, as if in the calm before the storm.
Skylar Winslow gazed up at the fissure, deepening the furrow between his brows.
The current strength of the Beast Tars in Azurea was far too weak. If this ti it was the Demon Clan that descended...
At this thought, a shadow passed over his eyes.
At this mont, all the teachers and students from Aegis Academy had already been dispatched to guard the Tetrad Voidgates. Only the most dangerous gateway, Crestholm, was overseen by him personally.
Upon careful investigation, it was indeed only the rift above Crestholm from which the demonic qi emanated most terrifyingly —
This ant that the strongest Demon Clan would appear here!
Yet even so, Skylar still stood with his back straight.
To protect this land was the belief of his lifeti.
"Boom—!"
Suddenly, the rift in the sky shook violently, and the overwhelming demonic qi poured down like a breached flood!
The passage had been completely opened!
"All units, be on guard!"
Skylar’s thunderous roar echoed through Crestholm.
The already battle-ready Beast Tars imdiately tensed their nerves, and countless solemn gazes locked onto the sky.
Under everyone’s tense watch, a grotesque figure stepped through the void—
A towering demon from the Demon Clan, with curved horns and encircled by pitch-black Demon Patterns, stood aloft.
Upon seeing this figure, Skylar’s pupils shrank abruptly:
"Monarch... Peak!"
However, at this mont, what concerned Skylar the most wasn’t the battle in Crestholm.
His gaze seed to pierce the void, looking toward the direction of the other four Spatial Gates—
Where, the guards were rely a few Fake King Level Beast Tars.
If Monarch Level Demons appeared...
At this thought, Skylar clenched his hand as veins bulged.
Should Monarch Level demons appear, everyone who went to intercept...
Will all die!
And not only that, with the brutality of the Demon Clan....
The surrounding cities would not be spared!
"Rumble—"
With the violent tremor of the space rift, countless demonic shadows began to surge from behind the Monarch Peak demon:
Commander Level, Transcendent Level demons surged forth like a tide of darkness.
Elsewhere.
Orion Winslow’s Adam’s apple bobbed, sweat beading on his forehead.
He knew the Clan Leader had to fully engage with that Demon Lord, which ant...
The remaining sea of demons would have to be handled by them, those at Commander Level.
"Damn it! This ti we’re really going to et our end here... Just the Commander Level ones number in dozens!"
"It’s not just Commander Level, the number of Transcendent Level demons is equally terrifying!"
"If we can’t close this spatial passage... it ans an endless stream of demons will continue to erge!"
"No worries, we’ll fight to the last mont, and these demons can only cross over our corpses."
The Commander Level Beast Tars beside Orion looked at the overwhelming demon army, the last glimr of hope in their eyes extinguished.
Originally, facing just over a dozen Commander Level demons, they could at least fight desperately.
But now—
Looking around, the oppressive array of demons, with Commander Level auras rising and falling, numbered at least three tis more than their side!
The disparity in strength was so vast that any tactics seed like a joke.
Victory?
It simply didn’t exist.
But Orion said nothing, silently summoning his own tad beast.
Behind them lay their ho, everything they vowed to protect with their lives.
This battle, they could be defeated, they could die, but...
They must not retreat!
At this mont, the leading Demon King demon inhaled deeply, a look of ecstasy on its face:
"So this is the ancestral land of the Human Race? Even the air is so... sweet."
Its scarlet tongue licked its fangs:
"As long as we demonize this land and convert the Divine Patterns into Demon Patterns, our mission will be completed successfully."
Behind it, dozens of Commander Level demons imdiately agreed with flattery:
"With the Demon Lord personally taking action, isn’t it easy as pie?"
"That old creature is their strongest force, right? Pathetic."
"It’s a good thing that Demon God laid out the plan for so long, enabling us to enter this region."
"If it wasn’t for needing the Human Race alive for the formation of the remaining Divine Patterns..."
"We would have slaughtered all these humans long ago."
The demons laughed and chatted recklessly, completely disregarding the alert human Beast Tars.
With such a disparity in strength, how could they possibly lose?!
"No need for excessive talk!"
The leading Demon King demon’s voice thundered, "If you are willing to submit to the Demon Clan, I can spare you!"
Skylar’s white hair flew as he rose into the air, opposing the Demon Lord from afar:
"Humans would rather die standing than live kneeling!"
"Ha!"
The demon chuckled the mont it heard this.
Over the past thousands of years, the Demon Clan had slaughtered countless races.
There were those that refused to surrender, but in the end...
They were all exterminated!
Now they had encountered another race unafraid of death!
A glint of cruelty flashed in its scarlet eyes, and its claw abruptly swung down:
"Since you refuse to surrender, then....
"First slaughter this place!"
After all, exterminating a city had negligible impact on the Divine Patterns!
This voice cracked like thunder across the skies of Crestholm.
In rely three days, millions of civilians didn’t have ti to evacuate.
On the streets, countless people gazed up at the demon army that blocked out the sky, eyes filled with despair—
Many of them had never set foot in Alternate Space, but they all knew these terrifying monsters were the Human Race’s greatest enemy.
"It’s over... all over..."
"Mom, are we all going to die?"
"Why... why does it have to be us..."
"Oh gods, please save us..."
Desperate cries and screams echoed throughout the city.
Upon hearing the word "slaughter city," Skylar’s eyes turned blood red.
Without hesitation, he burned what little remained of his life force, channeling it all into his Contracted Tad Beast.
He knew his role; he had to defeat this Monarch Peak demon.
Otherwise...
There was no hope of turning the tables.
Now, he just hoped...
Aster Grant... please do not leave the Sanctum Pool at this mont!
If Aster, carrying the Divine Pattern, appeared now and fell into the hands of the Demon Clan...
Then the Human Race would truly have no chance of resurgence!
anwhile, the other four Void Gates within the borders of Draconia also began to open with jagged fissures.
"Boom—"
Black demonic qi spewed forth, and figures of the Demon Clan descended through the void.
But what offered a slight relief was—
Those erging from these rifts were at most Commander Level demons, and no terrifying Monarch Level presence appeared.
In the depths of the Sacred Beastbond Pool, Aster Grant was oblivious to the drastic changes occurring in Azurea.
All his ntal focus was concentrated on his final two tad beasts—
Lazuli was radiating a dazzling golden Light Cocoon, while Veridia was entirely enveloped by Netherghast Aura.
The two distinct but equally powerful energy waves were steadily surging!
"Finally... it’s about to complete!"
Aster couldn’t help but clench his fist.
He could feel that their breakthrough had reached the final mont!
Soon, they would break through to Commander Level!!
