Yege was dumbfounded.
That fall, her body heavily pitched forward.
When Chu Xici heard Yege’s "Ah," he hurriedly turned around, just in ti to see her body plunging toward the ground.
In that instant, Chu Xici instinctively extended an arm to grab Yege’s waist, but he too lost his balance in the rush of turning, while Yege’s montum caused Chu Xici to stagger a bit.

Finally, Chu Xici frowned slightly and said, "Not getting up? Can’t bear leaving your comfortable cushion?"
Yege snapped back to reality and quickly rolled off him.
"Are you alright?"
Chu Xici subtly furrowed his brows but still replied with a smile, "Yes, I’m fine!"
Really...fine?
Yege doubted, considering how hard that fall was...quite bad!
"Good thing you didn’t hit the ground directly, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to take the exam tomorrow!"
Chu Xici said softly.
Yege stuck out her tongue.
"Let help you up!"
Saying this, Yege reached out to help Chu Xici up.
"It’s okay, I can do it myself!"
Chu Xici said, using one hand to prop himself up.
Yege wasn’t reassured, extending a hand to support him, moving with caution.
After getting up, Chu Xici told Yege, "You should be more careful when walking next ti, don’t be so reckless. Last ti you almost fell down the stairs, and now you’re knocked over by a chair, what’s next?"
Yege felt a bit shaken, but this ti Chu Xici spoke with genuine concern, which Yege could hear.
She lowered her head, saying quietly, "But you’re here with , protecting ; I’m not afraid!"
Chu Xici paused, a peculiar feeling surged within him, but imdiately, he frowned and said, "You think you’re always lucky to have around?"
Yege: "..."
Feeling a bit embarrassed by Chu Xici’s reprimand, Yege couldn’t focus on anything else, still wondering if Chu Xici was truly okay. Not a scratch?
"Stop worrying about ; are you really...all right?"
Chu Xici let out a small grunt.
"I’m fine! Of course, I’m fine!"
Yege still had so doubts as Chu Xici reached out to touch the top of her head.
"Alright, hurry up and go to sleep; it’s late! You have an exam tomorrow!"
"Oh!"
Yege nodded, agreeing, and returned to her room. Before closing the door, she saw Chu Xici still standing there and said, "Good night!"
Chu Xici nodded, "Good night!"
After Yege closed her door, Chu Xici returned to his room, brows furrowing.
Actually, Chu Xici was really hurt.
With one arm wrapped around Yege, the other arm hit the ground when they fell, and Chu Xici felt his right elbow painfully crash against the floor, truly...it hurt quite a lot!
