That midday, Chu Xici invited Shen Yufeng and An Xiaoyu to stay for lunch at ho.
Chu Xici’s mother, Lin Yuenong, had gone for a touring performance and wasn’t expected back until next month, whereas his father was in the military and often away from ho, which ant that, typically, only Chu Xici and Yege were at ho.
Now that Shen Yufeng and An Xiaoyu had co over, the ho felt quite a bit livelier.
At the dining table, Yege beca sowhat silent, prompting a smile from Shen Yufeng after he noticed.

After the al was over, An Xiaoyu and Shen Yufeng got up to take their leave. Yege and Chu Xici walked them to the door, watching their car drive away before closing the front door and returning inside.
Yege felt flustered and agitated; she quickened her pace inside, yet her hurried steps almost tripped her.

At that mont, a pair of arms steadied her.
"Why the rush? Calm down! Be careful!"
Chu Xici’s hand rested on her shoulder while his other arm wrapped around her waist, and in that instant, the skin Yege felt him touch seed to burn like fire.
Her heart started to beat even more fiercely!
She lowered her eyes, not daring to look into Chu Xici’s.

"Your face is so red? Are you running a fever?"
