Yunqing returned to his room and was just about to call Tong Xi when she called him instead. His heart soared with joy, and he couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
Could this be a case of mind reading?
"Hey, wifey!"
This ti, Yunqing answered the call in seconds, his voice lazy yet carefree.
"Ho yet?" Tong Xi asked, though her voice wasn’t very loud. Yunqing thought her parents must have already gone to sleep, so she was speaking softly.
After all, it was quite late now.
"Yeah, I’m ho. Don’t worry, I intended to call you earlier, but I ran into my grandparents downstairs and chatted with them for a bit, got delayed!"
"Oh, well, try not to co ho so late in the future. Don’t want to keep waking your grandparents. Older folks sleep lightly, and if they wake up, it can be hard for them to fall back asleep, which isn’t good for their health."
Tong Xi spoke honestly, rembering how her own grandma used to sleep very lightly and would sotis wake at the slightest noise at night.
Yunqing laughed, "Wifey, you’re really so considerate!"
As Yunqing said this, Tong Xi imdiately rembered a certain "skillful undressing" incident, and blushed a bit.

Yunqing also thought of that mont and felt a little tempted again.
"Wifey, actually, solving this problem of letting co ho earlier without disturbing my grandparents isn’t hard. Marry sooner, and I promise I’ll co back early!"

"Yeah, soone pretended to be a perfect gentleman quite convincingly! Truly a waste if you don’t beco an actor!"
Yunqing laughed heartily, "Wifey, can I take it as a complint?"
Tong Xi: "..."
This guy has such a thick skin.
"Do you know how far it is from ’well-dressed’ to ’wolf in sheep’s clothing’?" Tong Xi asked with a smile, though there was a touch of grit in her voice.
Yunqing coughed, "Wifey, I don’t know, enlighten !"
Tong Xi sighed, "It’s just three seconds! That’s you!"
Isn’t this exactly a true depiction of this rascal?
Yunqing laughed heartily, his eyes darkening with delight.
"Wifey, you’re really giving too much credit! Three seconds... well if it’s really just three seconds, wouldn’t you be at a loss?"
Tong Xi was taken aback, how did this concern her, her being at a loss? What did he an?
But, three seconds later, Tong Xi suddenly realized what Yunqing ant, and her face turned beet red.
This bastard, always being cheeky!
"Can’t be bothered with you, hanging up!"
With that, Tong Xi ended the call directly.
But soon, her phone rang again. It was Yunqing calling.
Tong Xi didn’t want to answer, but the phone persisted.
She had no choice but to pick up, and Yunqing’s lazy yet charming voice ca through: "Wifey, you haven’t said goodnight to yet, and without that, I can’t sleep!"
