Now reading: Chapter 2308 - 2310: Ground Battlefield from Big Data Cultivation, a Fantasy novel by Chen Fengxiao.

Clearly, there is a considerable difference in how Ren Tu True Sage and the Fisherman True Sage perceive the battlefield.

He didn’t think there would be much trouble throwing Feng Jun here—when you sense danger, you’ll naturally retreat on your own. After all, you have the art of teleportation; how could you not escape?

The Fisherman True Sage, on the other hand, believes that war is an extrely serious matter and should be conducted according to strict rules. Since Feng Jun has extraordinary significance to the team, he shouldn’t take unnecessary risks.

Such cognitive differences are very common in military affairs; different commanders have different styles. So are adept at offensive operations, others at defense; so excel in tough battles, others in strategic ones. It’s not about right or wrong.

Interestingly, neither of them believed that Feng Jun would stealthily co and take risks after marking enough footprints.

This possibility objectively exists, but both True Sages ignored it, thinking Feng Jun couldn’t be that irrational.

Just after Ren Tu True Sage left, Feng Jun released his Divine Sense, intending to search for Yi Jue.

The surface area of this Xingzheng Main Star is about three to four tis that of Earth, with oceans covering fifty percent. However, there are not many high peaks, and deserts are not vast, occupying only one-tenth of the surface area, aning forty percent of the area is forested.

As for the population... it barely exceeds two hundred million, genuinely a vast land with few people. Without the great enemy like the Insect Race, this planet could easily support one or two hundred billion people.

Earth, with just thirty percent land, supports seven billion people. Can’t this planet support two hundred billion?

Yet there are only over two hundred million people here, and even with the populations of the other three planets, the total just barely exceeds three hundred million.

These figures are ones Feng Jun has just obtained, and as for the source... there’s no need to say. Over forty Nascent Souls ca this ti; how could a few not know Soul Search?

Why is the population of this star system so low? Because it is an immigrant star system and located at the forefront of the confrontation between the Human Race and the Insect Race. Although not the front line, it is still very dangerous.

However, the conditions of this star system are so excellent. A simple single-star system is more likely to have planets with great primitive conditions compared to systems composed of two or three stars.

Usually, a stable single-star system can host at most two planets suitable for human habitation.

Yet here, there are three. Although the fifth planet is the most habitable, the fourth and sixth planets are also survivable and can beco agricultural planets, which is extrely rare—even if they are hotter or colder, with specific requirents for planting cycles and crops.

The eighth planet is an unexpected surprise, with several good mineral deposits.

This kind of star system must be seized by the Human Race, no matter the cost.

In fact, after taking over this star system, the Human Race spent over three hundred years just on transforming it. On the fourth, fifth, and sixth planets, the proportion of toxic gases is too high, and even to this day, the fourth planet still has a significant proportion of toxic gases.

Therefore, it’s easiest for the insects to take the fourth planet as the defense there is the weakest.

Ultimately, the people who ca here to pioneer are relatively brave and not afraid of battle. Even after migrating for a dozen generations, the bravery in their blood remains.

However, because it is really close to the Insect Race, the Human Race settlent areas are relatively concentrated for easier defense, and agriculture is more intensive.

As a result, the entire planet appears even more... vast with few people.

The population of the capital city on the main star alone reaches twenty million, while the two major cities each have more than ten million people, totaling fifty million. Keep in mind that the total population of this planet is just over two hundred million.

However, this doesn’t have much to do with Feng Jun. He is currently near one of the major cities—Zuo Jing.

Zuo Jing has a population of over twelve million, and he is less than two hundred li from the center of Zuo Jing, with a small town thirty li away, and he is in a dense forest.

Feng Jun didn’t feel lonely. He extended his Divine Sense and sensed for a while before discovering sothing unusual. There are many people in this town, spanning all ages, unlike the outskirts of a first-tier city.

He learned much later that places like this rely on the defense of large cities for survival. But due to the sparse population on the entire planet, they lack the siphoning effect of major cities in the Earth Realm.

At this mont, Yi Jue’s Divine Sense responded, "Why are you near Zuo Jing? Co to Xiajing."

Xiajing is the fourth most populous city on this planet, with no less than six million people.

In Huaxia on Earth, it might be an ordinary third or fourth-tier city, but on this planet, it is the foremost city after Kyoto, Zuo Jing, and Youjing. Moreover, being nad Jing reveals its ambition.

Feng Jun had no intention of getting involved in these local affairs, especially when they’re in a foreign region, so he stated, "I’m just glad to know you’re fine. I’m just taking a look around here, seeing what’s happening."

Yi Jue and Feng had a certain tacit understanding, so she straightforwardly stated, "It’s difficult for the Insect Race to attack the three capitals, so their main target now is Xiajing. The pressure here is imnse."

Feng Jun hadn’t had ti to speak when a ball of blue light flashed overhead. Within his field of vision, two buildings collapsed with a crash. Seeing this visual effect, he didn’t need to think to know it was the Blue Light Moths causing trouble.

Blue Light Moths are one of the lower-tier species within the Insect Race, often becoming food for other insects. Most are in the Qi Refinent Realm or Qi Transforming Realm, with not many in the Golden Core Stage. This insect’s attack power is average, primarily using blue light, scratching, and biting.

Yet, even so, they can still strike against weaker insect species, and naturally flaunt their might against humans without cultivation levels.

Feng Jun glanced upward to discover five Blue Light Moths: one in the Qi Refinent Realm, three in the Qi Transforming Realm, and one in the Golden Core Stage.

The one that launched the attack was a Qi Transforming Realm Blue Light Moth. Imdiately after, intense gunfire erupted from the surrounding houses, forcing the Blue Light Moths to retreat continuously into the air.

However, the bullets didn’t seem very powerful. Hitting the Qi Transforming Realm Blue Light Moths only knocked off so scales, leaving more marks on their wings.

Feng Jun observed that these were likely civilian-held weapons. He also noticed that the Qi Refinent Realm Blue Light Moth was hiding behind its Qi Transforming kin, evidently having weaker defense capabilities.

Feng Jun used his Divine Sense to scan the two destroyed houses and felt a sense of relief. There was no one inside the houses. In the kitchen area, there was a sturdy basent sheltering a woman and two children.

In the garage direction, there was also a basent with a man and a teenage boy and girl. They were attempting to open the upward passage from below.

Both basents contained weapons. The one in the garage had a more abundant arsenal, while the one by the kitchen had only two long guns and one short gun, so grenade-like items, and a large amount of food.

Feng Jun had deduced it: this was a typical immigrant family, a couple with four children, two of whom were slightly older and already had combat capabilities.

Four children, is that many? Not really. Feng Jun glanced at several other planets and realized that the Human Race in this world was doing quite well in this regard, understanding that population is key to colonization.

In fact, as a humanities scholar well-read in history, Feng Jun always believed that population is the guarantee of a nation’s strength. Outnumbering other races ensures cultural heritage and even species reproduction.

The saying "Those not of our race must have different hearts" isn’t discrimination but a conclusion drawn from much bloodshed. Thus, perceiving many children on several planets, Feng felt a bit relieved; at least the immigration policy was decent.

Moreover, the residents here had a good sense of self-protection, hiding in basents before being attacked and preparing to fight back.

The attack responders were also hiding in sturdy fortresses. To those in the Golden Core Stage, these fortresses were just jokes, but they could barely resist the Qi Transforming Realm insects.

The Blue Light Moth’s attack power was sowhat weak, leading to mutual ranged attacks that were quite lively.

The Golden Core Stage Blue Light Moth hadn’t appeared, quietly half-concealed in the air, with unknown intentions.

Feng Jun intended to approach Yi Jue, but seeing this scene, he continued to observe stealthily, unable to sit by and watch humans suffer greatly, especially since he didn’t have the ans to handle that Golden Core creature at the mont.

He was actually curious about how such weak insects had breached the anti-aircraft defenses to wreak havoc on the ground.

At this mont, the sound of engines roared in the distance. Feng Jun turned his head to see seven or eight humanoid chas rapidly approaching, ard with weapons that seed powerful at a glance.

Upon seeing reinforcents, cheers erupted from the town’s houses. However, space fluctuated again, revealing several Mantises, also at the Qi Transforming Realm.

Mantis attack power was far superior to Blue Light Moths, with physical attacks being trendously strong, along with fast defense and speed.

One Mantis rushed towards the cha reinforcents at incredible speed, with most attacks on it missing. Even if hit by rapid-fire weapons, the damage wasn’t substantial.

With a wave of its forelimbs, it sliced toward a cha. Although the cha responded quickly, it still couldn’t avoid it, losing its left arm. Fortunately, it was the cha’s left arm, not the controller’s.

Seeing this, the cha advanced instead of retreating, its forehead revealing a black hole, launching a white object out.

This was a capture net from the reserve sequence, specifically used against the Insect Race. Unfortunately, the Mantis was too fast and instantly attacked another cha.

Another cha, with more experience, moved straight ahead, slightly shifted its body, narrowly avoiding the Mantis, then fired a cannon as a counterstrike.

It used the plasma cannon on its left-hand cha, though powerful, usually needing to hit first.
