Chapter 353: Chapter 353: Taking a plane? (Four updates for monthly pass)

Ermao let the construction vehicles and Xu Leigang’s car in, and then directed the thugs to block the road.

That block lasted a day, until the evening, when an Audi Q7 arrived with a tall man getting out, instructing the migrant workers to move the concrete blocks away.

Wang Haifeng’s presence was even more imposing than Xu Leigang’s, and the gangsters knew he was Manager Wang, so they turned to look at Ermao.

Ermao slightly shook his head, signaling his brothers not to stop them, and then said in a sardonic tone, “Manager Wang, I’ve been waiting for a call all this ti. Don’t make wait too long.”

Wang Haifeng gave him a glance, completely ignored him, and once the concrete blocks were moved, he drove straight into the estate.

Ermao was fuming inside, but still had to smile nonchalantly on the surface, “Q7, nice car. When can our brothers get their hands on one like that?”

“Why don’t you just borrow Manager Wang’s car for a spin,” soone daringly said, not fearing death.

In fact, they wouldn’t have dared to say such a thing before, but this ti they had the backing of the town’s leadership, who in turn were supported by even bigger figures. Playing the role of the authorities’ enforcer, what couldn’t they say?

“Don’t think too much,” laughed Ermao as he spoke, “We’ll take care of what needs to be done, and don’t dwell on things that aren’t our business… Manager Wang has so serious clout at ho.”

As they spoke, so construction vehicles that had entered were now leaving, and the underlings, upon seeing this, could only curse a few tis—they had wasted their efforts for the day.

Ermao was also sowhat displeased, being the leading brother, he couldn’t just order his underlings around for nothing. For the sixteen or seventeen-year-old lads, he might not have to pay them money, but he should at least provide als, right? And shouldn’t each get a couple of packs of cigarettes?

Spread out around the town, his underlings could help him make money.

Staying in this godforsaken place, with no inco and still having to support his underlings, he was wasting everything.

So he waved his hand and announced loudly, “Alright, work’s over for today. Tomorrow morning, bring in an excavator and break up the road!”

Breaking up the road was different from concrete blocks—broken roads don’t move.

Why choose to break up the road tomorrow? Because… there might be a change tonight.

If Sister Hong realizes the seriousness of the problem.

From this, one can see that Ermao is truly a man of society, bearing clearly marked characteristics.

Even with the town’s support, he wouldn’t blindly rush forward. Initially opting to block the road with concrete blocks was to leave ample room to maneuver, to advance or to retreat, ensuring the maximization of benefits with minimal risk.

After leaving there, he took his underlings to a restaurant in town, where they ate and drank extravagantly, ordering plenty of alcohol.

When they were rry, everyone asked Ermao, what should they do about tomorrow?

Ermao replied that they should chill, why worry about such early business? Survive today and talk later. Drink up, and after that, anyone interested can go out and have so fun.

When Ermao told his underlings to have fun, he certainly didn’t an going to a KTV. Most places in the town were under his protection, and his underlings going there would at most pay for their drinks, which in turn would be his loss.

What he ant by having fun was gambling, and so of the underlings had their own assets.

But nobody would play against Ermao—he was the boss, who would dare to win against him? So he would just run the house and take a cut.

But how much money could a bunch of kids have? Ermao would rent them a room, entrust an underling to oversee the cut, and take a room for himself. He then called two girls over from KTV, had a wild ti, and afterward fell into a deep sleep.

Before going to sleep, he was still muttering, “Sister Hong? Damn… Dare to fool , just you all wait.”

At so point, he was woken up by the cold. He felt icy all over and opened his eyes to see a sky full of stars.

He shook his head, regaining consciousness, “Damn it, what’s going on, is there any water?”

“No water, but there’s a puddle of piss,” soone said coldly on the side, “Want a drink?”

Ermao was stunned for a mont, and then it fully dawned on him: am I lying on the ground?

He swiftly sat up and looked around, only to see darkness everywhere, uncertain of where he was.

Using the distant streetlights, he could faintly make out a person standing in front of him, dressed in black, with a square face and broken eyebrows, looking extrely fierce.

Ermao, in the end, had a bit of a ruffian’s nerve, and despite his small fra, he was quite good in a fight, at least very agile. So after a brief pause, he said with a grin, “Brother, which crew are you with?”

The man in black didn’t respond at all, but reached out and grabbed his right hand, moving incredibly swiftly and with enormous strength, like a huge iron clamp. He thought he heard the sound of his own hand bones breaking.

The black-clad man’s other hand was holding a kidney-shaped mobile phone, Ermao’s mobile phone, “Fingerprint unlock… which finger?”

“Ouch,” Ermao cried out in anguish, “Index finger, index finger… the thumb!”

His cry was sowhat exaggerated; in fact, he was hoping to be underestimated by the opponent, possibly finding a chance to escape.

The man in black unlocked the phone screen and released his hand, tapping a few tis on the phone before speaking in a deep voice, “Your ID number… say it.”

Ermao was massaging his right hand with his left, and upon hearing the words, he was stunned, “Ah? ID card… I didn’t bring it, and I don’t rember the number either, what do you need it for?”

“What for? To buy you a plane ticket,” the man in black turned his head slightly, giving a faint smile. Under the light of the distant street lamp, his teeth looked exceptionally white, “Don’t you want to take a flight?”

“Take a flight… No, I don’t,” Ermao first was stunned, then his face turned pale, “I ant no offense to Sister Hong.”

“Go to hell,” the man in black lashed out with a kick, sending him flying more than two ters away, “A dog-like thing, you think… you’re worthy of Sister Hong calling you?”

“No need, there’s no need to call,” Ermao almost felt out of breath because of the kick, “Ouch… I don’t need her to call , I didn’t an any harm, I was just worried soone would act in her na.”

“Damn it,” the man in black kicked him again, “Who told you Sister Hong is old?”

“She’s not old, she’s not old,” Ermao was in so much pain that he rolled around on the ground, “It was my fault, please spare this once.”

The man in black ignored him, muttering to himself in a low voice, “Can’t rember the ID number… might as well make one up, anyway you won’t get the chance to board a plane, what’s the paynt password?”

“Big brother, spare my life,” Ermao scrambled up in terror and knelt down on the ground, “I really didn’t an to offend Sister Hong.”

He didn’t know Sister Hong well, but he knew she was soone many bosses had to tread carefully around.

To be frank, the na itself gave him a sense of mystery, and his current predicant added much fear—Am I about to receive a plane ticket from Sister Hong?

No, this is not what I wanted, I just wanted to confirm that I wasn’t being taken for a ride!

“I forgot, you can also pay with fingerprints,” the man in black completely disregarded his pleas, muttering softly.

“No!” Ermao scread, clenching his fists tightly.

“Hmm?” The man in black frowned slightly and drew a dagger from his waist, obviously planning to use it to obtain the fingerprint.

Seeing the gleaming dagger, Ermao thought about running, but the man’s kicks had left him hardly able to breathe.

“There’s not enough money in the mobile phone!” he wailed, “Even if you cut off my hand, it’s useless, you still need the paynt password.”

“Hmm?” The man in black raised an eyebrow, “Then we won’t use the paynt password, I’ll buy the ticket for you, comparatively speaking… it’s easier to find out the ID card number.”

“Big brother, I really didn’t do anything,” Ermao’s tears flowed, “Sister Hong is reasonable, right?”

“Sister Hong is reasonable?” the man in black gave a cold laugh, “I never really found her to be reasonable… Alright, I’ll give you a chance to explain!”

Ermao quickly repeated his reasoning.

After listening, the man in black spoke coldly, “After Xu Leigang warned you, you still lingered at the door… Can’t you wait for Sister Hong’s call at ho? Or do you think you’re too big to handle, right?”

That point was valid, Ermao indeed was taking himself too seriously.

Ermao didn’t dare to quibble over this issue, he admitted with proper attitude, “I was bewitched.”

Still, he tried to find excuses to defend himself, “It was mainly because Zhao Haicheng from the town governnt office intervened, offering to clear the records for a few of my brothers… I did it for my brothers. Starting tomorrow, I won’t go there anymore!”

Feng Jun really wanted to ask, who was Zhao Haicheng instructed by?

But if he did so, his act of being… wouldn’t seem perfect, it lacked the sense of mystery.

So he just snorted coldly, “Being loyal is good, but if you break Sister Hong’s taboo… you think it’s over if you don’t go?”

Ermao was quite nervous and misinterpreted, thinking that the other party doubted he was playing word gas, “It’s not just not going… none of my brothers will go, that’s a must.”

After a mont of silence, the man in black finally spoke, “Just that, I can’t see your sincerity… Zhao Haicheng is overreaching, do you understand what I an?”

“Understood,” Ermao nodded decisively, to tell the truth, he wanted to confront Zhao Haicheng right now.

“Hope you truly understand,” the man in black turned around, mounted a motorcycle, and started it up, “If I have to deliver a plane ticket to you a second ti, I definitely won’t listen to your explanations.”

Amid the roar of the motorcycle, the man in black disappeared into the distance.

Ermao knelt there for a long ti without getting up, but strangely, what he thought about at that mont was: Damn, was there a motorcycle here just now? Why didn’t I notice?

He remained baffled for a good while before standing up and brushing himself off, shivering a little.

In this kind of weather, wearing just a hotel robe was indeed too cold.

As he staggered towards the street lamp, he made up his mind: Fine, you’re all big shots, both of you are big, I’m just a rat burrowing into a bellows—caught smack in the middle.

If I can’t offend you, can’t I still avoid you?
