The light kiss ended very quickly. Chi Jiao looked at the young man in a black cap in front of her, her heart pounding.
“Jiaojiao? Where are you? I’ll go look for you.” The voice on the other end of the line suddenly became Xu Ye’s.
Quan Jue narrowed his eyes and took the phone from her. “She’s very busy now.”
With that, he hung up the call.
“Brother Quan, you…” Chi Jiao was about to ask when Quan Jue had returned, but he didn’t give her a chance to speak as he sealed her lips with his once again.
This time, the kiss was punishing.
It was deep and domineering.
The sweetness of Chi Jiao’s mouth was being absorbed crazily by him, leaving her no chance to resist.
As if a world had passed, Chi Jiao’s breathing became heavier and heavier before Quan Jue released her.
With one hand on the tree trunk, Quan Jue lowered his head to look at her. His eyes were dark and deep.
“Are you going to meet Xu Ye?”
Chi Jiao’s face was already as red as a tomato. She quickly took a look. Luckily, she had specially chosen a small path when she walked out of school today. This small forested path was not usually passed by by many people.
“I’m having lunch with Yi Lanlan, Dang Nan, and Xu Ye,” Chi Jiao said honestly.
There was nothing between her and Xu Ye, so there was no need to hide it from Quan Jue.
Quan Jue pinched Chi Jiao’s chin. “Xu Ye is not a good person. Keep your distance from him.”
Chi Jiao thought for a while. She and Xu Ye were simply classmates and were not close to each other. Therefore, she nodded obediently.
Quan Jue’s eyes darkened as he saw the girl’s lips turn red from the kiss. “Are you afraid that others will see us earlier?”
“Our school prohibits dating. I don’t want you to be given a demerit,” Chi said in a small voice.
Just as she finished her words, he planted another kiss on her lips.
“I’m fearless.”
Chi Jiao felt that something was off with Quan Jue.
He had always been very self-restrained when it came to his emotions. The signs he was showing now were indeed a little abnormal.
She looked at him worriedly.
“Brother Quan, where did you go?”
“Shang Jing,” Quan Jue answered simply.
“Then why didn’t you answer my calls?” Chi Jiao asked again.
Initially, she was furious, but after seeing Quan Jue, she couldn’t stay angry at him.
Even when she questioned him, her tone was soft. Quan Jue smiled and reached out to rub her head. “I went to Shang Jing to handle some matters. Phones are not allowed there. When I came back this morning, my phone ran out of battery, so it turned off automatically.”
He knew she would be anxious if she couldn’t find him. Therefore, after settling his issues, he immediately took the earliest flight back this morning.
Chi Jiao’s gaze was fixated on Quan Jue’s face. She noticed that he was a little pale and there was unconcealable fatigue in his eyes. “Is everything alright? You look tired.”
“It’s nothing special. The schedule was hectic and I haven’t had a good rest for the past two days.” Quan Jue changed the topic. “Aren’t you going to have lunch with Yi Lanlan and the rest? I’ll acpany you.”
This was the first time Quan Jue suggested eating with her friends. Chi Jiao nodded with a smile.
At a Korean barbecue restaurant near their school.
Xu Ye was like an enraged beast, but he was stuck to his seat because of Dang Nan. He could only look at her in exasperation. “That voice earlier definitely belongs to that bastard, Quan Jue. Why are you stopping me? I want to find Jiaojiao.”
