The verdict was already settled, yet the elder simply couldn’t accept reality. For the first ti, he deeply felt the impotence of being a lawyer.

Compared to Zuzi’s ethereal temperant, indifferent like calm water, the woman before him was much more enthusiastic, with confident smiles reflected in her deep-set double eyelids, evidently a career-driven woman.
Gu Yuzhi was montarily taken aback, but his tone was rather cold when he spoke: "Lawyer Shangguan."
Shangguan Wanwan handed her branded handbag to the assistant behind her and deliberately extended her hand for a handshake: "This is a private occasion, just call Cousin Wan."
Gu Yuzhi did not respond with his hand, instead glancing behind her: "Lawyer Shangguan seems to like bringing so many assistants, drivers, and interns to private venues."
"Ah," Shangguan Wanwan laughed heartily, "As it happened, I was to pay a visit to Elder Gu tonight, but there’s a minor work matter, just swinging by while I’m at it."
Gu Yuzhi said gravely: "To clear Li ilian of suspicion more thoroughly, you’re here to request my client to issue a letter of understanding."
Shangguan Wanwan raised an eyebrow, laughing even more heartily: "Big cousin is so sharp. How about waiting for a few minutes then, after I get Granny Yang to sign the understanding letter, you could take my car, it’d be more convenient to go back to Gu Family together?"
Gu Yuzhi felt a lump lodged in his throat: "She’s not feeling well, and can’t et you!"
Granny Yang was already devastated by the verdict, another provocation could hardly bear to let her survive the night.

Driving away, he was supposed to return to his law firm, but sohow when he beca aware, he was almost at the entrance of Imperial University.

Yet when he parked the car and got out, unexpectedly he found that he parked under the run-down teaching building of Zuzi’s Ancient Biology Departnt.

Gu Yuzhi pressed his sowhat parched lips together, standing in place for a few seconds.
Finally, he sighed deeply: "Or maybe, when I’m undecided, inadvertently I’ve grown accustod to seeking Zuzi’s shockingly bold opinions?"
