The car circled around on the overpass,
and Xia Yangyang eventually headed straight for the airport.
Upon arriving at the airport, Xia Yangyang called Gao Huizhi and said she was going to visit Phoenix at Island Lake today.
It took just two hours to reach Island Lake Airport.
Island Lake has countless islands dotted about.
However, most of them are private islands owned by top world tycoons.
Gao Huizhi had already arranged a speedboat to wait for her there.
Xia Yangyang boarded the speedboat.
Half an hour later, she was ashore.
Upon reaching the island, a spread of greenery greeted her eyes.
From a distance, you could vaguely see the tall building in the middle of the island.
A castle-like building was constructed on the island.
Once ashore, an electric car arrived to pick her up.
From inside the car, she could see the landscape of the island.
Xia Yangyang had heard about it before, but it was indeed her first visit.
This was a specially developed mountain road, flanked by tall trees on both sides.
Xia Yangyang could hardly na any of those trees,
which looked exotic, mysterious, and quite spectacular.
At the island’s center, the villa looked like a tray hoisted by the entire island.
Further up, there were fences similar to the Great Wall.
Soon, the electric car smoothly stopped right in front of the villa.
The villa-castle appeared to be built on a mountain, but standing at its entrance offered another scene.
In front of the villa, a huge garden had been laid out, filled with blooming bright UK roses.
The climate here was quite different from the outside.
The flowers in the garden blood passionately, and even the air seed imbued with a fragrant scent.
Xia Yangyang entered the house.
Xia Yangyang saw Uncle Bai, the butler.
Uncle Bai was a man who followed her godfather.
Xia Yangyang had t him many tis and was very familiar with him.
Xia Yangyang asked, "How has godfather been lately?"
"Sir has mostly recovered physically, but his heart is still heavy. Last ti, so many brothers died at Culture Hall, and with the death of the eldest young master whom sir relied on the most, and the third young miss turning into this state, sir is definitely not feeling well inside."
Xia Yangyang was also somber upon hearing this.
Xia Yangyang asked, "How is third sister doing?"
"Although the third young miss has co to terms with things and is no longer suicidal, she lacks vitality and is like a puppet, just sitting there all day, sotis forgetting to eat. It really worries people to death. Miss Xiao Qi, your arrival is perfect. Please talk to her and uplift her spirits. Knowing that you are here will certainly make sir feel a bit better."
Xia Yangyang went upstairs.
Xia Yangyang first visited Gao Huizhi’s study.
Gao Huizhi, draped in a coat, was writing.
Xia Yangyang knocked and entered.
Gao Huizhi rely looked up at her.
Then he said, "Xiao Qi, you are here."
Xia Yangyang walked over.
Although there was heating in the room,
Gao Huizhi was dressed quite thinly.
Xia Yangyang said, "Godfather, you haven’t fully recovered yet; you need to rest properly."
But Gao Huizhi, still looking at the characters on his desk, replied, "Girl, co and see how my writing is."
Xia Yangyang walked over.
Gao Huizhi was writing Yuan Zhen’s "Thoughts."
Once crossing oceans as nothing but water, and all mountains went beyond the clouds...
Xia Yangyang felt sorrowful inside but could only smile and said, "Godfather, your writing is really beautiful."
Indeed, Gao Huizhi’s writing was beautiful; although not considered among the great masters, his brushstrokes were powerful, composed, and exhilarating.
Gao Huizhi deeply sighed, "In the past, your mother always wanted to read books, but I was never really cut out for studying. However, to make her happy, I used to write letters to her. Writing more and more, I eventually developed good handwriting."
