Gong Xue’er stared into Lu Haotian’s eyes.

"Don’t even think about it!" Lu Haotian responded almost reflexively.
But Gong Xue’er reached out a hand and placed it on the furious Lu Haotian’s face.
Gong Xue’er’s expression remained full of smiles.

Xia Yangyang sat on the beach, resting.
She gently massaged her shoulder.
To be honest, Gong Xue’er had not held back.
But she had controlled it just right so that, to others, it didn’t seem like much.
Even if it had been intentional, people only saw it as a harmless joke.

Lu Haotian, pretending to ss up his reception, would "accidentally" throw off his aim and hit Gong Xue’er instead.
The onlookers were completely baffled by the scene unfolding.
But after thinking about it, they wrote it off as coincidence.
After all, Lu Haotian and Gong Xue’er were supposed to be partners.
Although the volleyball wasn’t particularly heavy,
Gong Xue’er ended up looking quite pitiful after being struck repeatedly.

Yet no matter how fiercely the two n competed—no matter who gained the upper hand—the volleyball always seed to have a mind of its own, smacking Gong Xue’er squarely in the face again and again.
