Yan Xinxin lowered her beautiful eyes.
"I’ll take this call."
She said and stood up. Mo Chuxi’s gaze unconsciously followed Yan Xinxin’s back.
Yan Chenxi sipped his milk, noticing Mo Chuxi’s gaze chasing after Yan Xinxin, and blinked his large, sparkling eyes.
"Daddy Chuxi, isn’t Xinxin super pretty?"
"...Cough cough cough!"
Mo Chuxi nearly choked on his milk at those words, coughing lightly.
He withdrew his gaze and saw the little one staring at him with a serious expression.
"So-so."
Mo Chuxi replied indifferently, but for so reason, he felt a little guilty under the little boy’s pure gaze.
"Xinxin said it’s wrong to lie."

"Xinxin is the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. I like her the most!"

The sumr morning light grew warr and brighter. After breakfast, Yan Xinxin helped her son dress neatly, and she herself put on matching parent-child hiking gear. Carrying a backpack, she looked youthful and energetic!
Mo Chuxi sat at the dining table, leisurely flipping through the morning newspaper.
"Teacher Mo, I won’t be attending class today, bye-bye!"
Yan Xinxin greeted Mo Chuxi and then led her son towards the entrance.
Yan Chenxi turned his little head to look at Mo Chuxi, a bit hopeful yet a little disappointed as he looked back.
"Daddy Chuxi, see you tonight."
His tender voice carried a hint of sadness.
Mo Chuxi appeared focused on reading his newspaper, but his mind was already elsewhere...

"Xi, are you still thinking about Daddy Chuxi?"
She asked him gently.
"Uh-huh."
Yan Chenxi didn’t hesitate to nod and admit it.
"But Xi, Daddy Chuxi isn’t your daddy..."
"Hahaha! Yan Chenxi! I knew it, you don’t have a dad!"
A nearby buzz-cut boy suddenly started mocking him.
Before Yan Xinxin could respond, her son spun around and glared angrily.
"You’re the one without a dad! Your whole family doesn’t have a dad!"
"Stupid boy, what nonsense are you talking about?! How dare you insult my son!"
A buzz-cut man stord over fiercely, clearly the father of the buzz-cut boy.
Yan Xinxin quickly stood up, shielding her son behind her.
"Sir, it was your son who started it by mocking mine!"
"Hmph! Yan Chenxi does not have a dad!"
"You’re lying!"
Yan Chenxi angrily clenched his tiny fists.
"Xi, Xinxin, sorry, I’m late."
