Yan Chenxi thought he could chat with this big brother, so he happily took small steps and followed along.
Mo Chuxi lived alone in his apartnt, and no one had ever stepped inside his room. Today, young Yan Chenxi had the honor of becoming the very first guest.
The room's décor was still in monochromatic tones, spacious, equipped with an ensuite bathroom, and carrying a faintly refreshing scent throughout the air.
"You can go inside to wash."
Mo Chuxi said, looking at Yan Chenxi.
"Do you need to help you?"
"Absolutely not!"
Yan Chenxi's small face flushed red as he quickly refused.
"I'm already five years old! I can bathe myself!"
"Hmm?"
Mo Chuxi curved his lips into a smile, his slender, deep eyes scanning Yan Chenxi's face. Suddenly, he noticed that the little guy's pupils were the sa color as his own—light brown.
No wonder, the mont he first saw this little guy, he'd felt a tinge of familiarity.
"Go ahead and wash up. Your little Xinxin will bring over so change of clothes for you shortly."
Mo Chuxi said half-jokingly, as he handed over a set of clean toiletries and a towel.
"Thank you."
Yan Chenxi reached out to take them, his light brown eyes shifting slightly.
"Big brother, do you have a girlfriend?"
Mo Chuxi paused in surprise.
"That's not a question soone your age should be asking."
"Then, does big brother have a girl he likes?"
The little guy imdiately followed up with a second question.
Mo Chuxi raised the corner of his lips into a faint smile.
"And what if I do?"
"Huh? So big brother, you already have soone you like?"
"Go take your bath. Questions like this can wait until you're an adult to ask."
"Alright then..."
Yan Chenxi nodded dejectedly, wondering why it was so hard to find a good man for his little Xinxin to marry...
The little one silently pondered to himself as he turned and walked toward the bathroom, his tiny figure seeming to carry a hint of lancholy.
Mo Chuxi withdrew his gaze, his mind suddenly filled with an image of Yan Xinxin's blushing, dazed expression.
That woman—what kind of parenting is she doing?

Down the corridor, in the bathroom.
Yan Xinxin had already finished helping Little Chenxi take a bath.
After the bath, Little Chenxi looked like a tender lotus bloom—radiant, fresh, and adorably pink.
Yan Xinxin wanted to learn more about Little Chenxi being alone outside, but she discovered that any ntion of it caused the child's mood to drop drastically.
Yan Xinxin couldn't bear to probe further and temporarily wrapped her little body up in a towel instead. Then she stepped out of the bathroom, intending to fetch Yan Chenxi's clothes from the suitcase for Little Chenxi to change into.
But as she opened the door and barely managed a couple of steps, her vision blurred.
With a loud "bang," her forehead collided squarely with a solid wall of flesh, the unique scent of soone nearby grazed past her nose.
Yan Xinxin stumbled briefly, and just as she wobbled unsteadily, Mo Chuxi's palm landed perfectly on her slender waist.
Separated by a layer of damp fabric, Mo Chuxi could distinctly feel the warmth of Yan Xinxin's skin through his palm, the temperature subtly seeping into him like a magical current.
Mo Chuxi froze montarily before parting his lips.
"In such a hurry to throw yourself into my arms?"
"..."
Above her head ca Mo Chuxi's teasing voice.
Yan Xinxin's cheeks flushed, and she quickly pushed his hand away, stepping back.
"You suddenly appeared in front of , that's why I bumped into you. I definitely don't have a habit of throwing myself into your arms."
Yan Xinxin shot Mo Chuxi a disdainful glance and brushed past him to leave.
But for so reason, her heartbeat seed unnaturally rapid.
Mo Chuxi turned slightly, his deep gaze carrying a layered aning as he looked at Yan Xinxin's retreating back.
"Yan Xinxin, are you sure Yan Chenxi really is your son?"
This question was utterly baffling, and Yan Xinxin turned around irritably, glaring with her beautiful eyes.
"If he's not my son, then what, he's your son?"
