Before she could get a clear look at the visitor, Yan Xinxin heard a man’s extrely aggressive voice calling her na.
She instinctively lifted her gaze and paused slightly when she saw the man standing before her.
Mu Shaoqian was glaring at her fiercely, his unruly and defiant face full of rage.
eting Yan Xinxin’s perplexed and confused eyes, he let out a cold chuckle.
"Hmph! No wonder our esteed Young Master Mo from the top family was seduced—so this is the kind of enchanting face you have!"
Mu Shaoqian sneered with disdain.
Yan Xinxin finally understood—this man was here to stir up trouble for her too.
Mira stood to the side, watching Mu Shaoqian reprimand Yan Xinxin, the smile on her face growing wider.
"Yan Xinxin, listen to !"
Mu Shaoqian pointed a rigid finger at Yan Xinxin, his expression twisted with anger.
"If Xixi ends up with any negative aftereffects, I won’t let you off! I suggest you leave Mo Chuxi sooner rather than later. He is the Mu family’s future son-in-law. If you dare oppose Qianshui, I’ll make you regret it!"
"If you dare threaten Yan Xinxin again, I’ll make sure you regret it first."
Mo Chuxi’s voice echoed from the hospital room entrance, his tone lazy yet icy.
Mira froze in place, imdiately retracting her hands and adopting a more subdued stance. The arrogance faded from her face, replaced by fear.
Yan Xinxin hadn’t even gotten a chance to speak when she saw Mo Chuxi, holding a thermos cup, his tall and elegant fra walking gracefully toward her.
"Hmph! Young Master Mo, you really show up at just the right ti!"
Mu Shaoqian sneered sarcastically.
"You’re certainly good at defending this vixen!"
"Mu Shaoqian, watch your words."
Mo Chuxi set down the thermos cup, turned, and warned with visible displeasure.
"Respect for what? This woman is a vixen! If it weren’t for her, you and Qianshui would’ve been engaged long ago! And now, she’s even trying to use Xixi and leech off Qianshui’s popularity! This kind of vixen..."
"Shut up!"
Mo Chuxi angrily interrupted, glancing coldly at Yan Xinxin before lifting his gaze.
"Mu Shaoqian, let be clear. I have never liked a woman nad Mu Qianshui in my entire life—not only do I not like her, I actually despise her."

"Engaged?"
Mo Chuxi’s perfect thin lips spat out the word with contempt.

Hearing this, Mu Shaoqian flew into a rage.

Mo Chuxi’s icy eyes shot over, his harsh words unyielding.

Mira froze and looked aggrieved.
"Young Master Mo, have I misunderstood you sohow?"
"As the saying goes, what kind of master determines what kind of henchman. If I find out you’re provoking Yan Xinxin again, I’ll make sure you don’t even have the chance to regret it."

Mo Chuxi’s tone was exceedingly cold as he finished speaking. Then he raised his hand, draped it over Yan Xinxin’s shoulder, and asked her softly.
"When did you wake up?"
Yan Xinxin looked a bit dazed. She glanced at Mu Shaoqian before lifting her gaze.
"Not long ago."

Mu Shaoqian laughed coldly, aiming one final taunt as Yan Xinxin and Mo Chuxi halted mid-turn.
"Hmph! You’re so protective of this vixen now, claiming you’ve never liked Qianshui—but what about Qianyuan? Do you still rember Mu Qianyuan? Do you still rember the promises you made to Yuan right in front of ?"
