It’s blood!
Mu Qianshui’s entire face turned pale with fright, her legs giving out beneath her.
Stunned, she froze for a mont, then turned to look at Mu Shaoqian lying on the ground in pain. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a familiar figure dressed in black.
Her blood-drained face snapped upward, revealing Mo Chuxi’s tall, imposing fra striding coldly toward her.
His expression was frozen, void of emotion, like a dark emperor. Every step he took seed to crush the air from her chest, suffocating her with unbearable weight.
Mu Qianshui’s pupils contracted violently as her gaze landed on the gun gripped tightly in Mo Chuxi’s right hand.
So the "bang" just now—it was a gunshot!
And that shot had struck Mu Shaoqian. The blood splattered on her face—it belonged to him!
"Shaoqian!"
Ning Zitong’s panicked scream snapped Mu Qianshui completely out of her daze.
"Call an ambulance now!"
Mu Jingheng imdiately ordered the butler.
"Chuxi, aren’t you taking things too far? How could you fire a gun?!"
Ning Zitong hurried to Mu Shaoqian’s side, crouching down and cradling him as she grabbed a cloth to press against his wound.
Standing tall, Mo Chuxi gazed coldly down at Mu Shaoqian, who was panting and clutching his bleeding wound on the ground. His voice pierced the air, devoid of emotion.
"If it weren’t for Qianyuan, that shot would’ve been aid at his chest, not his shoulder."
"You..."
Ning Zitong was enraged and flustered.
Though the shot missed any critical areas, seeing so much blood gushing from Mu Shaoqian’s shoulder was agony for her as his mother.
"Mo Chuxi, you—you inhuman demon!"
Mu Shaoqian gasped and cursed furiously.
"Ha! So vixen must’ve gotten herself into trouble, and now you’re here to take it out on ! Ha! I saw her fainting just now, and it looks like she bled quite a bit. What’s wrong? Did she miscarry? Hahaha..."
"Bang!"
"Ah—!"
Mo Chuxi fired another shot without hesitation—this ti at Mu Shaoqian’s leg!
Mu Shaoqian let out a piercing scream of agony.
"Chuxi, stop it!"
"Young Master Mo, enough already!"
The Mu family couple erupted in anger.
Mo Chuxi’s actions were brutal—a sheer act of barbarism!
"Enough? Hmm?"
Mo Chuxi calmly replied, his voice chillingly slow and unyielding.
"My daughter is gone. So of course, I need soone to accompany her in death."
"What?"
Ning Zitong’s face turned pale with shock.
Her daughter is gone?
Could it be that Yan Xinxin really miscarried?
She had seen it herself—Yan Xinxin’s legs covered in blood, and her writhing in pain while clutching her chest.
Was it a heart attack? Did her agitation push her to the point of bleeding and lose the child?
Mu Qianshui, who should have felt exhilarated upon hearing this, instead was overco with terror at the mont.
While her thoughts raced, she noticed out of the corner of her eye the ominous sight of a gun barrel aid at her head.
Panicked, she turned her head sharply—and saw Mo Chuxi indeed pointing the gun directly at her!
"Ah!"
Mu Qianshui scread in horror, scrambling toward Ning Zitong and hiding behind her.
Mu Jingheng urgently stepped forward to block Mo Chuxi.
"Chuxi, I understand how you feel right now, but Yan Xinxin’s miscarriage..."
"Wasn’t it all orchestrated by your lovely daughter and son?"
Mo Chuxi interrupted impatiently.
"You don’t need to say anything else. Today, I’m going to kill soone to avenge my daughter!"
"No!"
Mu Qianshui shouted in trembling protest. "This has nothing to do with ! I didn’t do anything! I even tried to talk my brother out of it, but he wouldn’t listen—there was nothing I could do! Chuxi, I swear this matter isn’t related to in any way!"
Mu Shaoqian, his body wracked with pain from the wounds on his shoulder and leg, turned his head in disbelief to see Mu Qianshui cowering behind Ning Zitong, frantically trying to absolve herself.
"Qianshui, you..."
"Brother, you were too reckless! I understand that you did this for , but..."
"Bang!"
