He finished speaking and suddenly turned around.
Yan Xinxin was still drowning in the grief and resentnt of losing her baby. Seeing Mo Chuxi turn back, she noticed he was holding a fruit knife in his hand.
"The harm I’ve inflicted on you is already irreversible and beyond repair. Since that’s the case, do the thing you’ve wanted to do most over the last five years."
Mo Chuxi walked up to Yan Xinxin and turned the handle of the fruit knife toward her.
"Kill ."
Hearing this, Yan Xinxin froze for a mont.
Seeing her dazed, Mo Chuxi took the initiative to press the handle of the knife into her right hand.
"If doing this can ease your pain, then kill ."
He stepped closer to her and pointed at his chest.
"The heart is located right here."
Yan Xinxin lifted her tear-filled eyes, dazed and clouded, and looked at the man standing before her. Slowly, she raised her right hand, clutching the fruit knife.
There was an indescribable, faint sensation fluttering in her heart. Biting her lip lightly, through her tears she seed to catch a glimpse of her disheveled self from five years ago.
His cruelty had pierced through her. His rciless tornt, ti and again, subjected her to unbearable pain for the five years that followed.
Five years ago, Chun was gone.
And now, because of what happened five years ago, she had lost her baby, not even three months old.
She hated him!
How could she not hate him!
As these thoughts flooded her mind, Yan Xinxin’s entire being was consud by hatred. She raised her right hand, the sharp tip of the knife aid directly at Mo Chuxi’s chest, and thrust it forward—
"Alright, since Mrs. Mo says it’s a girl, then it’s a girl."
"Yan Xinxin, I have feelings for you."
"Xinxin, I think I’ve truly fallen for you."
At the mont the knife tip grazed the surface of his shirt, about to penetrate his flesh, Yan Xinxin’s mind involuntarily conjured up the words Mo Chuxi had once said to her, those whispered sweet nothings...
There had been monts of gentleness in his gaze, words of support and protection for her. He had once cared tenderly for their two children...
Thinking of all this, and then of the pain she had endured over these five years, Yan Xinxin was plunged into a tornt of anguish and conflict.
As she stood there, lost and trembling, Mo Chuxi suddenly reached out and tightly grasped her right hand. Without any warning, he gripped her hand and pushed it sharply toward his own chest!
"Stab—"
The sound of the knife piercing into flesh rang out imdiately afterward.
Yan Xinxin stood there with her lips parted in shock, her beautiful tear-filled eyes wide open and stunned. In the blur of her vision, the next mont brought the sight of vivid red blooming in front of her.
On the white fabric of his shirt, right over his heart, it was as if a blood-red cherry blossom had blossod. So glaring!
Yan Xinxin felt her heart clench in pain, abruptly withdrawing her hand in shock.
The fruit knife slid out of his flesh, and a torrent of crimson gushed forth from the wound!
"Clang."
The blood-stained fruit knife dropped to the floor. Yan Xinxin stood in horror and shock for several seconds before she ca back to her senses.
"Mo Chuxi, you have no right to force to do anything! Even if I truly wanted to kill you, I would do it by my own hand!"
Yan Xinxin spoke in trembling defiance as she hurriedly picked up her phone, intending to make a call.
Mo Chuxi calmly extended his hand and gently held hers.
"The dical kit is in the storage room next door. Get it for —I can treat it myself," he said.
His eyes softened as he gazed at Yan Xinxin’s pale and frightened face, his expression as unruffled as ever.
"Don’t worry, I won’t die."
"Your life or death ans nothing to !"
Yan Xinxin stubbornly spat out the words, her voice filled with defiance she didn’t truly feel. She turned and left the room quickly. But just as she stepped out, she saw Sister Lin carrying sothing and rushing down the stairs in a hurry.
Yan Xinxin didn’t pay attention, hastening to retrieve the dical kit from the next room.
anwhile, Sister Lin descended the stairs anxiously, shouting in panic.
"Madam, sir, sothing terrible has happened! The young mistress has stabbed the young master with a knife! She even said she wants to kill him!"
