Yan Xinxin sat dazedly on the sofa, as if a scene played out before her eyes...

She wasn’t sure how much ti had passed, but the sound of the door opening brought her back to reality.
She turned her head slightly and saw Mo Chuxi walking toward her.
His face was cold and stern, his brows laced with frost.
The black shirt he was wearing looked a little wrinkled and disheveled,
and what was even stranger was that his right hand seed swollen and bloody.
It looked as though... he had just been in a fight.
"Invincible, invincible..."
Yan Xinxin stared at him in confusion, but suddenly she heard the sound of an ambulance coming from downstairs.
Her thoughts jolted, and she abruptly stood up.

Mo Chuxi responded indifferently, his lips parting, though the darkness in his eyes had yet to fade.
Yan Xinxin froze for a mont. Then, as if unable to control her actions, she hurriedly walked up to Mo Chuxi and suddenly grabbed his swollen, bloody right hand.
Her actions caused him to pause in surprise.
Mo Chuxi lowered his gaze and saw Yan Xinxin furrowing her brows deeply, staring at his injured fist.
His heartbeat inexplicably quickened.
"You’re worried about ?"
Hearing his words, Yan Xinxin flinched and hastily released his hand.
No.
She shouldn’t care about him.
She should hate him.
But...
She couldn’t stop herself from noticing this man, nor could she pretend not to see him injured because of her.
"I’m not worried about you, let alone caring about you. I just don’t want to owe you anything."
Yan Xinxin quickly turned away, rejecting the emotions she felt.
She glanced around the room, and her eyes landed on a small dical kit sitting by the window.
Without hesitation, she walked over and brought the kit back.
Mo Chuxi remained where he stood, observing Yan Xinxin’s actions, and quickly understood.
He glanced at the roses scattered across the carpet, his brows furrowing slightly, before sitting down on the sofa.
Yan Xinxin carried the dical kit to the sofa and then took out cotton swabs and antiseptic solution.
Looking at the faint traces of blood and swelling on Mo Chuxi’s knuckles, her delicate eyebrows knitted tightly together. She gripped the cotton swab tightly and pretended to calmly clean his wound.
Mo Chuxi sat silently, his gaze lingering on Yan Xinxin’s conflicted and distant expression.
Slowly, he lifted his left hand, letting the warmth of his fingertip fall on her smooth cheek. Yan Xinxin froze, clearly feeling his eyes roaming across her face.
"Yan Xinxin, only I can bully you."
He spoke, his tone saturated with an undeniable possessiveness.
"Anyone who dares to hurt you, I’ll make them pay the price."
"Then what about you?"
Yan Xinxin abruptly raised her eyes and asked in return.
She quickly finished treating his wound and stood up.
"You once told you wouldn’t let go of the man who hurt five years ago. Do you rember that? Shouldn’t you start by teaching yourself a lesson?"
Yan Xinxin spoke as she turned to leave.
Mo Chuxi was faster; he reached out and grabbed her.
"There’s a fruit knife on the coffee table. You can choose to finish off."
"..."
"But Yan Xinxin, you won’t do it."
His confident words echoed behind her.
"Because you love . That’s why you’re so conflicted right now."
He sliced through the secret buried deep in her heart, unapologetically direct.
Yan Xinxin clenched her fists tightly, biting down hard on her lip.
Seeing her silence, Mo Chuxi pivoted swiftly and closed the distance between them. Taking in her tearful and conflicted expression, he didn’t hesitate to press his hand against the back of her head and leaned down, claiming her lips in a fierce kiss!
