What!
Yan Xinxin felt incredulous. She never expected to be accused of such a cri!
"Officers, our Xixi was taken away by this woman! You must arrest her and send her to jail!"
The middle-aged man pointed at Yan Xinxin, glaring angrily, while skillfully scooping up little Chenxi in his arms.
Little Chenxi struggled, his tiny hands and feet protesting against the situation.
"Sister Xinxin, I want Sister Xinxin..."
"Chenxi..."
Yan Xinxin was in chaos. Watching little Chenxi being taken away crying, an inexplicable discomfort filled her heart.
"She's so beautiful, who would've thought she'd do sothing like this."
"The prettier soone is, the more dangerous. Haven't you heard the term 'venomous beauty' before?"
The store clerks and surrounding custors watched the scene unfold, gossiping about Yan Xinxin.
Yan Xinxin tried hard to calm herself down and explain.
"This is a misunderstanding. I didn't abduct little Chenxi! I..."
"The witnesses and the child are all present. There's no need for you to argue. If you have anything to say, you can tell us after coming with us. Let's go!"
Yan Xinxin attempted to clarify the situation, but no one was giving her a chance.
In front of all those custors and colleagues, Yan Xinxin was pushed into the car.
As the car door shut, she could hear little Chenxi's tearful cries calling her na. Through the car window, she could see his tiny figure struggling.
He was struggling so hard. Could it be that man wasn't even related to little Chenxi?
With this thought in mind, Yan Xinxin anxiously pressed against the window.
"Chenxi!"
"Sit down!"
"Officers, Mu Chenxi is crying so much. Are you sure that man is truly his family mber?"
Yan Xinxin asked worriedly, but her peripheral vision had already lost sight of little Chenxi.
Her heart felt as though it had plunged into a deep, dark abyss. Yan Xinxin felt an ache so profound, it brought tears to her eyes.
"I really didn't abduct that child. I swear I didn't..."
She attempted to explain, but not a single person believed her words.

It was already 7 PM.
Mo Chuxi stood on the apartnt balcony, feeling sowhat unaccustod to the unusually quiet atmosphere.
Could it be this Yan Xinxin woman was tired of living? She had confidently promised breakfast and dinner. Was she trying to starve him now?
"Ding dong."
The doorbell rang lodiously.
Mo Chuxi lifted his dark eyes, though his intuition told him it wasn't Yan Xinxin returning.
"Click."
The door opened.
Nothing but air greeted him at first, then Mo Chuxi's gaze dropped to see Yan Chenxi's small figure.
"Why are you alone?"
Mo Chuxi spoke, his light brown eyes lifting to glance toward the elevator area.
Seconds passed, yet no one appeared. Where was Yan Xinxin?
"Brother Xi, Sister Xinxin might be in trouble. Can you help find her?"
Yan Chenxi's childish voice carried an extraordinarily steady tone that reached Mo Chuxi's ears.
He seed montarily stunned as his brows furrowed faintly.
"Yan Xinxin's in trouble?"
"Yes!"
Yan Chenxi raised his serious eyes to look at Mo Chuxi, his clear gaze filled with worry.
"Sister Xinxin didn't co to pick up after school. I waited for a long ti but she never showed. She must be in trouble! Brother Xi, will you help look for Sister Xinxin?"
Mo Chuxi studied the solemn little face in front of him, feeling an inexplicable pang in his heart.

Elsewhere—
Still dressed in her dessert shop uniform, Yan Xinxin faced endless rounds of questioning, her nerves on the brink of collapse.
"Yan Xinxin, if you continue refusing to cooperate, we'll consider officially charging you with child trafficking."
"No matter how many tis you ask the sa thing, my answer won't change! I didn't abduct Chenxi. I've been looking for his family, but I haven't found them yet. Please let go. My son is still at kindergarten, I need to pick him up..."
"It seems you're still unwilling to cooperate. We'll detain you for 24 hours unless soone posts bail for you."
XX interrupted her and issued a warning.
Yan Xinxin scoffed bitterly, curling her lips into a sarcastic smile.
Bail?
Who would bail her out? Her mother or Yan Zhirou?
They couldn't care less whether she lived or died.
