He reached out and pinched Yan Xinxin's chin, his handso face suddenly magnified right in front of her.

Yan Xinxin stared at him, her eyes suddenly becoming particularly resolute.

Mo Chuxi seed to freeze for a mont. Staring into Yan Xinxin's eyes, his thoughts were suddenly pulled in a direction he didn't expect.

Yan Xinxin was stunned and confused, but internally she was cheering.

Mo Chuxi dropped this deeply ambiguous remark, abruptly releasing her wrist. Swiftly, he stepped out of the passenger seat and moved to the driver's side.

Lost in her thoughts, Yan Xinxin only snapped back to reality when she heard Mo Chuxi's "idiot" directed at her.
Looking up, she realized the car had already stopped in the apartnt's garage.
Yan Xinxin hurriedly grabbed her bag and got out of the car. Seeing Mo Chuxi's cold figure walking ahead, she quickly followed him.
The elevator went straight up to the top floor. As soon as the apartnt door opened, a familiar sound of footsteps reached Yan Xinxin's ears.
"Xinxin!"
Yan Chenxi's innocent voice rang out, filled with excitent. His small figure quickly ran up to Yan Xinxin and hugged her legs tightly.
"Xinxin, where did you go? Why didn't you co pick up after school?"
He lifted his slim, wide eyes, his Xiao Shuai face looking unusually serious as he stared at Yan Xinxin.
Yan Xinxin imdiately squatted down, patting her son's small head.
"I'm sorry, Xi. Xinxin encountered sothing sudden at work. I'm sorry; it won't happen again next ti."
She explained softly.
Mo Chuxi, changing his shoes, glanced indifferently at the mother and child duo beside him before shoving his hands into his pockets and walking away coldly.
"Brother Xi."
Yan Chenxi suddenly turned and called out to Mo Chuxi.
"Hmm?"
Mo Chuxi responded coolly.
"Thank you for bringing Xinxin back."
The little guy offered gratitude, his pure and clear eyes fixed sincerely on Mo Chuxi.
Yan Xinxin froze, surprised that her son had even asked Mo Chuxi to find her...
While touched, Yan Xinxin also felt ashad. As a mother, she was failing her responsibilities, always causing her son to worry about her.
But how did Mo Chuxi know she had been taken to the police station?
After soothing her son to sleep, Yan Xinxin took a complicated bath, and while passing down the hallway, couldn't resist glancing toward Mo Chuxi's room. She then turned around and climbed the spiral staircase to the rooftop terrace.
