"Grand..., Grandma..."
Little Chenxi called out softly, her babyish voice soft like a cloud of cotton candy.
Such an adorable little girl, it’s hard for anyone not to fall for her.
Lin Yuan’ai imdiately bead with a smile.
"Co here, sweet Chun, let Grandma hold you, co on..."
"Mmm..."
Little Chenxi pursed her cherry blossom-pink lips hesitantly and suddenly turned her head to look at Yan Xinxin beside her.
"Mama! Chun wants Mama to hold her right now!"
She reached her tiny hands toward Yan Xinxin.
The joy on Lin Yuan’ai’s face instantly faded. Seeing Chun leap into Yan Xinxin’s arms, though she felt a hint of dissatisfaction, she still managed to keep her smile.
"Chuxi, you’re back."
She smiled faintly.
"You’ve been at BL for so long, it must’ve been tiring."
Lin Yuan’ai tried to strike up a conversation.
"By the way, I also watched the awards ceremony for the jewelry competition the other day."
She said as she glanced at Yan Xinxin, who walked beside Mo Chuxi.
"Xinxin looked gorgeous on cara, absolutely stunning. Also, congratulations on winning the award that every newcor dreams of for your first competition."
It was so rare to hear Lin Yuan’ai congratulating her that Yan Xinxin was montarily dazed, then looked at her and smiled gently.
"Thank you, Mom."
"Mm."
Lin Yuan’ai nodded lightly.
"Alright, let’s head inside. Dinner is about to be served."
"Okay."
Yan Xinxin responded, the atmosphere between them turning out to be much more peaceful than anticipated.
Mo Qifeng had gone abroad for business; Mo Qingning had returned to her overseas school, saying she’d co back after finishing up her reports.
As a result, the large villa housed only the five mbers of the Mo family, with the remaining presence consisting of housekeepers and staff.
As always, dinner was prepared by a five-star hotel chef, and the dishes were as sumptuous and exquisite as ever.
Yan Chenxi seed visibly in better spirits. At the mont, he sat side by side with Little Chenxi, the two little ones whispering secrets to each other, their innocent faces lit up with bright, carefree smiles.
Yan Xinxin smiled warmly, yet her eyes moistened slightly.
Her little angel had returned to her side—this truly was wonderful.
After all that she’d endured over the past five years—the pain, the suffocation—she no longer cared, nor did she hate anyone. Heaven had returned her little angel to her, and that was the best redy for her wounds.
Lost in these grateful musings, a sudden warmth spread across her right hand. It was Mo Chuxi’s hand holding hers.
She turned her head, and their gazes t, a subtle spark igniting easily within their eyes.
Lin Yuan’ai observed the love and doting evident in Mo Chuxi’s eyes as he looked at Yan Xinxin, and she truly didn’t know what to say.
She doubted whether Yan Xinxin had so sort of magic or enchantnt.
Over the years, the sheer number of beautiful won vying to get close to Mo Chuxi could line up from one end of Ancheng to the other.
Yet, he had always been unscathed amidst the sea of flowers.
Who could have imagined that her son had fallen for Yan Xinxin five years ago, even going so far as to have two Little Baozis with her!
"Let’s eat."
Mo Chuxi spoke up.
Lin Yuan’ai snapped her thoughts back to reality.
"Hold on, a guest should be arriving shortly."
"A guest? Are they joining us for dinner?"
Mo Chuxi raised his sharp eyes.
Lin Yuan’ai glanced at Sister Lin and then nodded.
"She’ll be part of this family in the future as well."
"What?"
Mo Chuxi grew increasingly puzzled, especially at the aningful look Lin Yuan’ai exchanged with Sister Lin earlier, which also intrigued Yan Xinxin.
"Apologies, I’m late."
Just as confusion clouded their minds, a familiar-sounding female voice ca from outside the dining room.
Yan Xinxin turned toward the sound. Seeing the person, her beautiful eyes widened in surprise.
"Isn’t she, that..."
