"How complicated can it be?"
Mo Chuxi parted his lips indifferently.
"It's nothing more than a child the Mu family adopted with so grand excuse five years ago."
"What?"
Yan Xinxin exclaid in surprise.
"The Mu family? Which Mu family?"
Which Mu family?
Hearing this question, a faint, light smile played at the corners of Mo Chuxi's lips.
"The Mu family, one of the four great families of Ancheng."
"...One of the four great families? Isn't that Mu Qianshui's family..."
"Mmhmm."
"..."
Hearing Mo Chuxi's confird response, Yan Xinxin's jaw dropped in astonishnt.
So little Chenxi was actually the adopted child of the Mu family?
Then, what was the relationship between little Chenxi and Mu Qianshui? Sisters?
Suddenly having to process such a complicated web of relationships, Yan Xinxin was quite taken aback. But thinking about how little Chenxi was an adopted child tugged at her heartstrings with a slight ache.
No wonder, on the day they t, she said she didn't have a mother, so naturally, no father either...
"Stop ddling in pointless matters. If you're really charged with child trafficking, you might end up joining your father in prison."
Mo Chuxi finished speaking calmly and turned around gracefully.
"What do you an, pointless matters?"
Yan Xinxin questioned his retreating figure.
"If I hadn't cared about little Chenxi, what if she had t an actual trafficker?"
Mo Chuxi paused, reflecting on her words.
Yan Xinxin raised her beautiful eyes in confusion, looking at him.
"Mo Chuxi, I don't get it. If you know Mu Qianshui, how could you not know about little Chenxi? Aren't the heirs of elite families like you always hosting tea gatherings and chatting?"
"The ones you're talking about are spoiled brats."
Mo Chuxi replied at an unhurried pace. He looked at Yan Xinxin, seed to pause in silence for a few seconds, and then spoke again.
"The affairs of the Mu family have long been irrelevant to ; I have no interest in knowing." As for little Chenxi, he only found out after Yan Xinxin got into trouble.
With that, he turned around once more.
Yan Xinxin stared at Mo Chuxi's tall and handso retreating figure, frowning.
Wasn't Mu Qianyuan the girl he couldn't forget?
If that's the case, how could he be so completely disinterested in the affairs of the Mu family?
"Yan Xinxin, have you lost your mind? Why are you even thinking about this?"
Yan Xinxin muttered self-deprecatingly to herself.
While Mo Chuxi wasn't around, she should hurry back to her own room, lest she end up as his bed companion again!

On the rooftop, inside the sunlit glass room.
Mo Chuxi walked through a pathway lined with blooming hydrangeas and arrived at a small white table.
His pale hand gently picked up a fallen photo fra.
As his cool gaze fell upon the girl in the photograph, an uncharacteristic tenderness surfaced in his eyes.
A pure and vibrant smile from a distant mory completely occupied his thoughts at that mont.
"Yuan."
With a soft exhale, his light pink lips shaped the two words gently.
"Would you bla for falling for soone else?"

The weekend sun was bright and warm. Yan Xinxin got up early to wash up and prepare breakfast. While cooking, she glanced toward the entrance a few tis.
That violence-prone CEO seed to have gone for his morning exercise again?
"Xinxin."
Young Yan Chenxi walked into the kitchen.
"Xi, good morning."
"Xinxin, where's Chenxi?"
Hearing her son's question, Yan Xinxin paused in the act of boiling eggs, then bent down to give him a small smile.
"Little Chenxi went ho. If there's a chance, you can et her again in the future."
"Really?"
Yan Chenxi asked in an uncertain tone.
"Of course it's true."
"Ding dong."
As she was comforting her son, the doorbell suddenly rang.
Mo Chuxi probably wouldn't ring the doorbell since he already knew the door code, right?
Yan Xinxin pondered to herself and still walked over to open the door.
But the mont the door opened, both Yan Xinxin and the person standing outside were equally stunned.
