It was a familiar voice.
Mo Chuxi paused at the sound, his stern figure coolly turned to the side.
Seeing the woman walking toward him, he was quite surprised.
Considering Yan Xinxin, Mo Chuxi spoke in a calm tone.
"Did you co to see for sothing?"
"Young Master Mo is a busy person, I wouldn’t co to you without reason."
Ning Zitong looked at him, her words carrying a hint of mocking sneer.
"If my Yuan had a better fate, now Young Master Mo would be calling mother, instead of not addressing at all."
Hearing Ning Zitong’s obviously targeted words, Mo Chuxi’s brows furrowed slightly.
"Co to my office."
He simply gave five words, casually turning his back.
Ning Zitong glanced at Mo Chuxi’s retreating figure, then turned to the receptionist Niki.
"Tell your boss’s wife to co up here imdiately, just say Ning Zitong is here!"
"...Oh, okay."
Niki nodded at Ning Zitong.
Watching her walk toward Mo Chuxi’s office, Niki slowly stood up, exchanging a puzzled glance with the nearby senior executives.
Could this woman be the Mu family’s Mrs. Mu, one of the four big families?
Who is the ’Yuan’ she ntioned?
Could it be that the Mu family has another daughter?
Or is this ’Yuan’ the nickna of that famous actress from the Mu family?
Inside the office.
Mo Chuxi personally poured Ning Zitong a glass of water and placed it on the tea table, then turned to sit in the chair by his desk.
"What can I do for Mrs. Mu?"
"I won’t drink Young Master Mo’s water, nor will I sit down. I’m here today just to tell you one thing."
Ning Zitong, holding a limited edition designer bag, walked to the front of the desk.
"I hope that after Young Master Mo hears what I have to say, you won’t be too shocked."
Mo Chuxi responded calmly with a faint smile.
"Well, I would like to hear what it is then..."
"Yuan is not dead."
Ning Zitong interrupted coldly, throwing out a short but extrely impactful sentence.
She watched Mo Chuxi’s expression intently, seeing surprise and astonishnt on his handso face, but missing the guilt, regret, and excitent she had expected.
Her heart grew slightly cold, a mocking smile forming in her mind.
Indeed, people do change.
The only ones who would truly miss and love Yuan are the three of them, connected by blood and kinship!
"Who told you that Yuan isn’t dead?"
After a dozen seconds of silence, Mo Chuxi spoke softly.
Ning Zitong’s eyes turned red with anger.
"Mo Chuxi, is this how you react after knowing Yuan isn’t dead?"
She asked, heavily laced with bla.
"All these years, your seemingly unending attachnt to Yuan was just an act?"
She laughed coldly, her eyes filled with reproach as she stared at the emotionless Mo Chuxi.
"Mo Chuxi, I’m telling you now that Yuan is not dead, she’s alive and well! Shouldn’t you imdiately divorce Yan Xinxin and uphold your promises to Yuan and to our Mu family!"
Upon hearing the news, Yan Xinxin had just reached the office door when Ning Zitong’s sharp voice ca through.
She paused in her steps, soon hearing Mo Chuxi’s voice as well.
"Why should I divorce Yan Xinxin? I’ve married her, and I’ll never let go of her hand in this lifeti."
"So you intend to be heartless and abandon Yuan? How could you do this to her!"
Listening to Ning Zitong’s vehent accusations, Mo Chuxi’s brows furrowed as he finally couldn’t remain seated!
"Marrying Yan Xinxin, making her my wife, being responsible for her, is the most justifiable thing I’ve ever done in regard to Yuan!"
