Lin Yuan’ai thought her hearing might have been playing tricks on her, but Yan Xinxin’s voice was clear and real.
"But Xi, have you ever thought about why Grandma is so unreasonable, so stubborn about taking you away from Xinxin?"
"Because she’s an!"
Yan Chenxi answered without hesitation, giving this reason.
Lin Yuan’ai felt as if her chest had been punched the mont she heard it.
She was both anxious and angry — upset, yet unsure what exactly she was upset about.
"Wrong."
Yan Xinxin parted her lips to deny it.

Young Yan Chenxi tilted his head and started thinking intently.
"Because, because the bad grandma likes to snatch things from people!"

"Xinxin, stop lying to . That bad grandma is so bossy and an, how could she love ? She even bullied you!"
"That’s because the ’bad grandma’ knows Xi is her precious grandson. She wants to take you back to the ho that truly belongs to you, to give you the best life and education."
Yan Xinxin patiently persuaded and taught, not wanting her sensible little one to harbor any resentnt toward anyone in his heart.
He was only five years old—this was the age for innocence and purity.
A carefree life was what he deserved, not a childhood spent overburdened with effort just because of her, his mother.
"Xi, you’ve seen it too. Grandma has been treating you well. She picks you and Chun up from school, makes sure soone cooks delicious food for you, buys pretty clothes and toys for you. Even though these aren’t the things Xi truly wants, hasn’t the ’bad grandma’ been trying to improve?"
Hearing Yan Xinxin’s explanation, little Yan Chenxi started to fall silent.
"The ’bad grandma’ isn’t bad at all. She just used the wrong thod in the beginning. And, back then, Xinxin also made so mistakes. If Xinxin had been a bit calr, the ’bad grandma’ wouldn’t have done such extre things."
Yan Xinxin guided her little one’s stubborn thoughts patiently, speaking one phrase at a ti.
"Xi, actually, the ’bad grandma’ and the ’bad dad’ are the sa. They both love you so much, just like Xinxin does. They love you and love Chun."
Seeing her son’s eyes gradually soften, Yan Xinxin tugged gently at his little hand.

As she spoke, she stood up, holding his small hand and leading him to the bathroom in the room.

But just as she stepped out of the room and turned around, she was startled by soone standing at the wall!
She froze and stared at Lin Yuan’ai for several seconds before moving her pale pink lips slightly.
